Today, País-Sukoku's national assembly agreed to deploy additional forces to Kahilo to repel the sudden betrayal at the hands of the General 'Ikailo and his Dolplandian military junta. País-Sukoku has been a keen supporter of Kahilo since their declaration of independence, recognising them early and deploying soldiers from the marine corps to bolster their defences. Even more significantly, many businesses from País-Sukoku have been eager to make investments in the business-friendly technocracy, causing the economic ties to strengthen in the month since their independence. All this has been greatly aided by Kahilo agreeing host drones from the País-Sukoki air force for their ongoing intervention across all the archipelago, largely with the intention of stopping drug production.

With word of this brazen attack from the junta, however, the National Assembly was rapidly convened under its new government headed up by PM Gabriel Akemi, Foreign Secretary Kubota Akhiro, and President Miguel da Silva; in order to discuss sending reinforcements to Kahilo. Under a presidential order, the debate began immediately and superseded any other ongoing assembly business, due to its high priority. Despite minor rebellions from some old-fashioned Liberals who oppose greater militarism, the bill was able to pass without too many issues and went through both the lower and upper houses within a single day thanks to a supermajority of both houses agreeing to suspend typical rules in order to pass the bill in record time.

The bill gives permission for an additional 5,000 troops to be deployed to Kahilo with the objective of defeating the junta's assault in frontline combat. Due to these soldiers being deployed for actual combat rather than simple training, this represents the first time human military operations have been launched against an opponent since País-Sukoku's founding in 1915.

**Reformists form a new Government**

After more than two weeks of post-election uncertainty, the Reformist Liberal Democratic-Party managed to achieve a narrow majority in the Imperial Diet with 313 seats. This great win paved the way for the incumbent Premier Takeda Nobuo of the Conservative Liberal Democratic-Party to step down today, making room for Reformist leader Machiro Morikawa's inauguration as the new Prime Minister by the Emperor, scheduled for tomorrow morning.

The emergence of the 'United-Left Coalition' marks a significant milestone for the Reformists, yet concerns remain regarding its durability. Comprising of four distinct parties - LDP-R, the New Democratic Party, the Socialist Democrats, and the Greens - the coalition exhibits varying stances on critical issues. Most notable among these are the ongoing conflict in Dolplandia and Tayichi's membership in IDA. Although the New Democrats and the Greens have adjusted their platforms to align with both causes, their loyalty and allegiance to the Reformists remains uncertain.

Efforts by the Conservatives to forge a coalition failed, notably due to the far-right National Restorationist Party's refusal to enter a government with them. The New Democratic Party's decision to join forces with the United Left further set the Conservatives back.

As for how effectively will this unstable coalition run the country is yet to be seen.
