The UKN Economic and Welfare Reformation Act

After winning the The UKN 2022 General Election, Prime Minister Moustafa Sarkis has approved of the Economic and Welfare Reformation Act. The Act was the primary goal and rallying point for the Socialist Party and the PM has announced that it will come to effect as soon as humanly possible.

This Reformation Act is proposed due to the increasingly high number of homelessness and unemployment. At 2.2 percent in 2013/14, economic growth was too low to improve vital socioeconomic indicators. Unemployment peaked at 13.4 percent, with the highest levels found among youth and women. Poverty rose to 26.3 percent the year before, with another 20 percent of the population estimated to be close to the poverty line.

Of note, low growth, high unemployment and poverty in The UKN live alongside weaknesses in the structure of the economy that largely predate 2004. These stem mainly from inefficient systems of subsidies, cumbersome business regulations, low human capital, poor infrastructure, low access to finance, and poor external competitiveness.

In 2003/04, The UKN spent over 6 percent of its GDP on fuel subsidies—more than on health or education. Ironically, fuel subsidies tend to benefit the well-off segments of the population—think owners of gas guzzling cars—more than the poor who need more social protection, and better health and school systems.

Fuel subsidies also favor capital-intensive industries whereas Egypt needs more labor-intensive industries to help reduce unemployment. Moreover, they contribute to large fiscal deficits and rising public debt and, hence, economic fragility, leaving very little to spend on infrastructure.

Thus, to combat the situation that the UKN has found itself in, The Reformation Act will include things such as:

Subsidy reform, which is part of the economic policy package the UKN authorities have already started implementing last summer, can change these distortions. By increasing fuel prices, the government will be able to generate large savings. This will make room for more transfers to the vulnerable people, and more resources to improve the living conditions of the poor, together with investment in roads, schools, hospitals, and power plants. This is front and center in the authorities’ agenda, and the authorities have already started designing a conditional cash transfer system, financed in part by the savings stemming from the fuel subsidies reform.

Spending more on health, education, and infrastructure will not only help the poor and most vulnerable groups in the short term, but it could also help generate higher potential growth in the longer term. This, as research shows, is very important for job creation and better standards of living.

exchange rate flexibility. A more flexible exchange rate can strengthen competitiveness, attract foreign investment and tourism, and support exports of new industries. These can create jobs and support long-term growth and hence, raise living standards. Against this backdrop, the recent movement of the exchange rate of the UKN Dinar against the U.S. dollar is a step in the right direction.

Besides these reforms, plans have already been drawn up to reform the governmental structure such as:

Structural measures to improve the business environment that can make The UKN a more attractive place for investors will be important. For instance, according to the World Bank, it takes 218 days to get a construction permit in The UKN, compared to only 29 days in Jeonwonha. Dismantling inefficient regulations and red tape will be essential to increase investment and spur jobs. Progress in this area would also help bring the informal economic sector into the fold, with a positive impact on unemployment and standards of living at large.

Creating modern and transparent institutions to encourage accountability and good governance, and ensure fair and transparent rules of the game. Fairness in economic policy can ensure that the gains of growth can benefit all people in the society. It can ensure evenhandedness in access to jobs and opportunities for businesses, whether people are connected or not.

Increasing the diffusion of financial services and extending more credit to small job-creating businesses could help the economy in a big way. Again, progress is happening in this area in The UKN, with the adoption of a micro-finance law which could help develop the financial sector.

Improvement of the educational system is of paramount importance for The UKN long-term development. Jobs cannot be created without aligning the education system to prepare graduates for what is needed in the modern labor market. The rebalancing of spending towards health and education mandated by the constitution, if implemented efficiently, could support higher, more inclusive growth in the longer term while preserving fiscal sustainability.

With this goals set in mind, the UKN Government is confident that they will be able to implement all the reform needed to take the UKN from its past of economic instability and rampant corruption to a more stable and trustworthy government.

Federal government to increase investments in local communities

By Peng Yaoting
5 minute read

JIANGNING — The Federal government of the FEUSSR has announced it would invest billions in high-impact local projects and infrastructure as part of a plan to increase opportunities in small and less urbanised communities, to stem the tide of urbanisation, and to improve conditions in neglected communities.

This follows from an earlier round of multi-faceted investment into the FEUSSR's social improvements, targeting anything from pharmaceuticals to overseas study. If successful, this will be the largest single investment project ever undertaken by the FEUSSR, and will see the injection of up to $1 trillion USD over a span of 10 years. Individual investments are facilitated through a network of funds, each managed by a Ministry with competence over its substantive matters. All levels of administration, be it a large SSR or a small village, are eligible to receive funds from this project, provided they meet the relevant criteria set out by the respective fund.

Seven funds have been publicly established, each with their own policy aims. They include the following:

  • The Small Communities Fund seeks to inject $3 billion USD per annum to villages, townships, and border communities to carry out public works projects, and renovate residential neighbourhoods.

  • The Worker's Ownership Fund, which supersedes the Department of Economic Development's collectivisation plan, will set aside $15 billion USD per annum for workers and locals to acquire and take ownership over economic assets upon petition. Its goal is to promote collective enterprise. The WOF will acquire anywhere between 3,500 to 6,000 enterprises, large and small, over the next year. Ownership will be either held on trust for local trade unions or individual workers, or distributed directly via shares at no cost.

  • The $18 billion USD Regeneration Fund, which aims to regenerate brownfield and grayfield sites into areas of community and recreational value, including parks, sports facilities, public services buildings, clinics, subway stations and so on. Funding is also used to invest in crime reduction, particularly regarding public awareness of online scams and improving bank security systems.

  • The Cultural Investment Fund provides investments valued at $3 billion USD per annum to maintain, renovate, and repurpose new and pre-existing museums, art galleries, visitor attractions, open spaces, and other assets of cultural value.

  • The Jobs Fund, equipped with $10 billion USD per annum, attempts to provide support to the unemployed, graduates and school-leavers, and others looking for work to sustain long term economic growth and flexibility in the labour market. It supersedes the MHS' Continuing Adult Education (CAE) programme in that it provides bursaries and subsidies for workers looking to acquire vocational and technical qualifications. It also provides a network of career counsellers, official training opportunities and placements with state-owned enterprises, and other activities meant to improve the chances of acquiring a job.

  • The $40 billion Free Investment Fund seeks to promote job creation and industrial regeneration at the SSR level by attracting global trade, opportunities, and investment. It does so by providing funding for SSRs to establish and maintain new and pre-existing Special Economic Zones, while also offsetting some of the losses incurred through tax benefits and customs relief.

  • The Sanitation Fund provides $11 billion USD per annum to drive the modernisation and regeneration of sanitation systems, such as plumbing, garbage disposal, and the hiring of additional cleaning staff to maintain hygienic urban environments. It also entails the construction of over 20,000 new public toilets across 50 large cities, and the funding of food safety authorities to step up safety inspections and prevent problems of hygiene.

House of Commons rejects North energy agenda

Big news from Canada! The House of Commons, dominated by the historic Conservative-Progressive Alliance, has rejected President North's energy bill by a vote of 147 to 191. The President had proposed that Ivvavik National Park in Yukon be opened for oil and natural gas extraction. Ivvavik National Park is a prime caribou calving ground and a spiritual area for the local indigenous peoples. It is also rich in natural resources that, if tapped, could bring the Canadian economy very close to the President's desired goal of energy independence. With a Conservative, notoriously centrist Commissioner in power in Yukon currently, it looks like Ivvavik will remain free of drilling for the time being. Progressives and indigenous rights groups celebrated their victory in demonstrations against the President across Canada.

The President went on a furious tirade against the House of Commons while waiting for a plane to take him back to Edmonton from Calgary. The President was interviewed in an impromptu manner by a journalist whom he allowed to get close to him. The President said the following:

"They're players in a conspiracy. It's all one big, big conspiracy to undermine my authority, and the authority of this office. I'm going to be making a big announcement on my agenda very soon. Populists hold power in the Northwestern territory, and they'll get me what I want because Canada is a democracy. A great, big, beautiful democracy. This rejection won't slow us down one bit. Not one bit."

Formerly a TV show host, and also a former elected member of the House of Commons, North has been President of Canada for the last two years now. During his time in office, Canada has pursued a Canada-first and protectionist foreign policy with warming relations towards the Soviets. The President's domestic policy has emphasized economic growth and the importance of Federation. Accordingly, the President will now be looking at building pipelines in pro-Populist areas such as the NWT, where both the Commissioner and the majority of local MPs support the President and his movement.

Meeting Planned with IYZN Leadership

Under the guide of Chief Executive Castillo, the Military Leadership Council has offered a possible meeting with the leadership of the "extremist" group, IYZN. The meeting is to be held in the city of Kano in an undisclosed location. The offer of a meeting sets a change in tactics to understand the desires of IYZN. The Military Leadership Council hopes that a decision and deal can be reached, but make no promises before the meeting is held. Other options are being considered, but diplomacy ranks the highest. The Military Leadership Council hopes that IYZN leaders agree to the meeting and are able to compromise.

Ministry of Defense Announces Joint Operations With Arabi states

Just a few weeks after the bombing in Istanbul, that left 10 dead and close to another hundred injured, Turkiye has laid the blame at the feet of Kurdish rebels and suggested the CIA had used the group as proxies to carry out the attack on Turkish soil following Turkiye's withdrawal from the North Atlantic Alliance. In retaliation for the attack, the Ministry of Defence announced that it would be working in conjunction with its counterparts in Arabi states, who have agreed to help as part of their ongoing efforts to curb the spread of terrorism in the Middle East. Defense Minister Omar Sydin did not give specifics on what these joint operations were going to entail but confirmed that several targets have already been identified and necessary steps are already underway to begin retaliatory strikes.

Unconfirmed reports have suggested that several Turkish aircraft have already carried out attacks on Kurdish territory, causing massive damage to critical military infrastructure in the region. When pressed about it, the defense minister refused to comment directly on the matter. President Akbas responded in his own statement where he reaffirmed that Turkiye would not be bullied around, whether by NATA or anyone else and in a rare move, Kaya Akbas, the president's daughter made a statement on the situation as well. This marks the first point in her life where she has ever inserted herself publicly into Turkish politics and in the statement, Ms. Akbas said; "Allah teaches us that all life is sacred and should be protected. No one wants war or death of any kind, but as much as we have a duty to follow Allah, we cannot sacrifice who we are in the process. We cannot allow ourselves to be seen as weak. I do believe that my father has made the right choice in showing the world that we will not back down and we will do what we need to do in order to defend Turkish life and the lives of the Roman Commonwealth first and foremost."

The president's only child is widely considered to be a favorite to succeed her father when the time comes, however, in recent months questions have been raised about that regarding her engagement announcement. There are concerns that if she is to lead Turkiye, that may conflict with her marriage to the Imperatrix of Roma, thus making her a part of the Roman Imperial Family. In a strange twist, the debate has actually brought about a groundswell of support for the monarchist party which advocates for closer political ties to Rome with some members even going so far as suggest that Kaya Akbas be given the title of Sultana upon her marriage to Isabella.

Official Letter
To: President Frederik Duus of the Kalmar Union
From: The Kremlin - Seat of the Soviet Premiership
Subject: Advancing Kalmar-Soviet Relations

President Duus - Hope this letter finds you and your people well. Let me first congratulate you for your victory at the polls. On behalf of the Soviet Government, I wish you the best of luck and many successes on your term as President of the Kalmar Union.

As you begin your term, we are honored to hear that you have an interest in reviewing diplomatic relations with our country. It is our belief that a strong and friendly diplomatic relationship is of great benefit to your people and to our people. Working in tackling issues that affect both of our peoples and advancing common agendas such as in climate change and the development of the Arctic will unlock new bounties that will prove mutually beneficial.

As has been the stance of the Soviet Government in the 21st Century, we are always open to developing warm relations with the West. We believe that, despite ideological differences, cooperation in science and trade will ultimately create a better tomorrow for our children and grandchildren. As you embark on your term as president, we are open to hearing any proposal that your government may have for improving relations and advancing projects of common interest.

One such common interest is that of the Arctic, as you have mentioned. In Moscow, we eagerly await any proposals that your country has in order to encourage trade, stability, research and peaceful coexistence in that region of the world. But the potential for cooperation can go beyond the Arctic: We hope that we can work together on common goals in the Baltic and North Seas. And beyond Northern Europe, we are also open to hearing any proposals that you may have for joint efforts in issues of common interest.

We do believe that a first step to normalizing relations is, well, to have relations in the first place. As you may be aware, the Kalmar Government has ceased any and all relations with our country. Such action, although popular with some people in your country, is counterproductive in the greater scheme things. Indeed, actions speak louder than words: If your government is open to stabilizing relations, as your letter indicates, a good first step is to reopen embassies and reestablish said relations. Here in the Kremlin, we have not closed or intend to close any embassy of any nation on the face of the planet, regardless of how high tensions may get. Our belief is that diplomacy, not conflict, is the best path towards resolving any crisis. We hope you reconsider the closure of embassies and open the necessary channels for diplomatic relations between our countries.

We wish you and your government great health and many successes going forward. We eagerly await your response.

Warm regards,

Grigory Tomsky
Premier of the Soviet Union
General Secretary of CPSU

Private Letter to Grigory Tomsky, Premier of The Soviet Union

Greetings again Mr. Tomsky. I am writing this letter in my personal office in Stockholm. In this office I have books, many of them containing old policies and histories of the world, Europe and of course some containing our history from 1945 until roughly 1990. I have a love of old books.

I will say that the closing of the embassy was my idea. It has also been my idea to write the first letter to you, which I am glad you wrote back. We closed the embassy mainly in protest to the actions your government has taken abroad in recent years. But I am willing to open them again in the hopes of warming ourselves up to each other.

We share broad interests in the Baltics, and in the Arctic. I would like our governments to first open the embassies to each other back up, which my staff is preparing an executive order to make that happen.

I’ve had some discussions with my science advisors and they do believe it would be good for us to conduct joint research operations in the Arctic, sharing science knowledge with each other. In Denmark we have people down their working on green energy solutions for electricity production, so we may be able to do projects in relation to that as well. We can have our people talk to each other.

That provides a nice transition to my next topic. I believe that our governments should organize a series of official face to face meetings. On the last one, the location which I believe should be in the old city of Kalmar, we can meet their and discuss anything else you wish to discuss. Soon after I can come to the USSR.

What are your thoughts?

I hope you and your family are well.

With friendly regards,

Frederik Duus
President of The Kalmar Union

Earlier today it was announced that all new energy production will be met with biomass energy plants with four currently planned for construction in the next two years by the The UPK energy giant UPK Electric, Light and Gas Conglomerate (UPKELGC), a company which controls roughly 80% of the UPK’s energy marketplace. UPKELGC is also committed to providing energy for the roughly 20% of Kommoross individuals who’ve not been connected to the national grid. The only detraction from this announcement is UPKELGC refused to commit to shuttering its coal fired power plants before 2100. The government is looking into actions that would encourage UPKELGC to shutter these plants by 2025. The government wishes for UPKELGC to invest in nuclear energy power, as the goal of the current administration is to have the country on all nuclear energy by 2075.

0500 Hours, Central Chennai

The gods had abandoned India, the clerics said. Maybe it was true. A dark stormcloud hung over the city, as its thousands of homeless scrambled to get under cover, the first signs of rain turning the half-dirt-half-asphalt roads into uncrossable swamps.
And unlike the squalor of the city, the Central Party's headquarters loomed over the tiny business district.
Those present in the vault of the conference room stood, clicking their heels together and saluting as Patel strode into the room.
"Jai hind," he began.
"Jai hind," his cabinet members echoed. They waited, as Patel sat, and copied his actions shortly after.

"The first order of the day I would like to discuss is our southern neighbour, Sri Lanka. It has occurred to me," his voice rose, and he looked around the room for the one responsible. "That we have had a mass exodus of young and educated men, particularly dissidents, who have fled the country to Sri Lanka, and using it as a transit point to flee to the United States or Aozhou. I will give all of you one chance to answer me properly. Which one of you was responsible for overseeing immigration? And why did you fail to stop them?"
The ministers shuffled uncomfortably. One raised his hand. "Premier, my apologies. I was not aware of the mass exodus..."

Patel watched as two black-suited security officials tossed the bodybag into the rushing Ganges river, never to be seen again. Its contents flailed around before sinking below the water, some solitary bubbles escaping to the surface.
He turned to his ministers, shivering from the cold and fear. "Now, our business here is done. I hope that you will rectify your mistakes and work for a brighter future. I have given my orders- now, carry them out."

In other news the People's 32nd Sappers Brigade, 1st Motorized Brigade and 90th People's Rifles Division, of the 7th People's Combined Arms Army, have been deployed to the maritime border with Sri Lanka in order to redirect emigrants into Myanmar or Bangladesh. The aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya and its escort fleet consisting of the missile cruisers Arunachal Pradesh and Karnataka, destroyers Ashoka, Prithvirāja III and Maharana Pratap, along with several other smaller frigates, have been deployed to oversee the maritime redirection of emigrants.

Final Election Debate Concludes as Election Grows Near

(Melbourne, Guelphia, Aozhou) The leaders of major parties in Aozhou squared off for a final time in an 2 hour long ABC televised debate in Melbourne tonight. With one week to go before the general election, party leaders made their final televised case to the electorate and more than once clashed with another. In attendance were Prime Minister Nathaniel Liew of the Democratic Labor Party, Opposition Leader Christopher Bergen of the National Union Party, Greens co-leader Adam Hsiao, United Future leader Benjamin Thorpe, Country Alliance leader David Clarke, and Freedom First leader Jackie Hewson.

Party leaders were grilled on a range of issues touching cost of living, climate change, immigration policy, crime, and taxation by ABC reporter and moderator Elena Chang. Notable clashes occurred between Mr. Bergen and Mr. Liew, with the opposition leader accusing Mr. Liew and the Democratic Labor Party of leading a "government of chaos", and Mr. Liew responding that Mr. Bergen "represented the same old corrupt, static National Union Party government that had been in power for the 12 years prior" to the DLP winning the last election three years ago. While much of the drama centered around tense word slinging between the two men hoping to be prime minister after the next election, the leaders of the smaller parties present also made a splash, with United Future leader Benjamin Thorpe laying out plans for reduced tariffs on agriculture and manufactured goods, tax credits to incentivize green energy use, and an active role for Aozhou in international organizations. Greens co-leader Adam Hsiao focused his party's pitch on proposed investment in the chilled meat industry to phase out live animal exports, increased animal rights measures, a "radical decarbonization" plan for Aozhou's energy, and on holding a referendum on leaving the Commonwealth and becoming a republic. Freedom First leader Jackie Hewson used her speaking time to lash out against what she called "unfettered immigration", particularly from Muslim countries such as Indonesia, and called for a reduction in the privileges and autonomy afforded to the Aboriginal Parliament in governing the Central Aboriginal Territories. Finally, Country Alliance leader David Clarke refused to pledge support for either major party in the event that his party holds the balance of power, and instead vowed to support whichever party is willing to prioritize rural issues such as water access, protective tariffs for the agricultural and livestock industries, and gun ownership rights.

Equally as notable as what was said at the debate is the party leaders that were absent. United for Justice-Aboriginal Voice leader Yunda Cooke participated in the previous televised Aboriginal Parliament voters forums on ABC's Aboriginal TV subnetwork, but declined her invitation to take part in the ABC debate, objecting to the inclusion of Jackie Hewson and Freedom First and saying "I refuse to appear on the debate stage with such an unrepentant racist who actively seeks to harm the Aboriginal communities." Furthermore, while leaders of parties not represented in Parliament are typically not invited to debates, the rising profile of the newly formed Socialist Left led its principal speakers to question why they weren't invited. "The people of Aozhou deserve a genuine left choice, and the exclusion of us from the debate despite our excellent polling represents just another attempt by the establishment and corporate media to freeze us out," said principal speaker Jack Chieng at an informal "Minor Party Debate" broadcast on Facebook.

Current polls suggest a narrow lead for the opposition National Union Party, but short of an outright majority in the House. With a week to go until voters head to the polls and opinion polls suggesting a close race, how voters preference candidates lower on the ballot may play a pivotal role in the coalition that takes shape and the government that arises after next week's general election.

Operation Roaring Tiger-Day 6

In our first major action in Belize, 4 F-35B jets performed a series of strikes on encamped enemy positions north of Augustine. This is the first sortie performed in theatre.

Using GBU-53/B StormBreaker and various JDAMS, The Kalmar Air Wing off the HMRS Kalmar acted on intel that enemy movement in the border would be occurring, targeting various trucks with mounted weaponry and confirmed ammo depots and supply huts.

The Kalmar Union will be conducting more operations of this nature through out the night and into the morning.

      Controversial Bill; "Pronoun Bill"

    | Berlin — Today large gatherings took place outside the Reichstag in protest of the most recent proposed legislation, [Bill C-16], otherwise known as the "pronoun bill." If approved, this will add gender identity and gender expression to the list of prohibited grounds of discrimination and criminalize any such prejudices. The writer of Bill-C 16, lawmaker Sara Rösler is a prominent member of The Left party and recently, in an interview, stated that. "The purpose of this bill is to add to our human rights and modernize them with the times, protecting members of our community, regardless of their identity or gender pronouns. Every German deserves the right to live free from fear of bigotry and the violence of neo-fascist like the AfD." Following these statements, the AfD rebuked, calling these statements outrageous and nothing more than petty lies from the woke movement, immediately organizing a protest along with other conservative organizations outside of parliament, demanding the bill to be stopped, calling it an attempt to censor freedom of speech.

    - Interview with Protestor -

    | News Reporter - "Hello sir, I'm with The World news and I wanted to ask your opinion on Bill-C 16 have any comments?"

[Protestor] "Yes! It's just nothing more than socialist lies attempting to censor people's right to speak out against the woke movement and their 'pronouns.' They've been trying to teach our children that there are more than two genders and that you can be "any" gender that you feel you are; now they're trying to take away our rights! What's next? Making traditional families illegal and teaching our children how not to offend others?"

British Nationality Act white paper published.
For consideration of parliament

The Prime Minister made the overseas territories a key part of her election manifesto. Following on from the British Territories Reform Act, MPs from the Cross-Party Committee on Nationality have presented a white paper to set out three categories of British nationality to replace existing arrangements.

  • A British Citizen

  • A British National

  • A British National Overseas.

A British Citizen is proposed to include anyone who is illegible for a British Passport by birth, parentage or naturalisation. It grants:

    (a) All travel rights, privileges and assistance as may be required under law, and use of embassy and other facilities
    (b) The right to travel to and reside within Great Britain and Guyana without restriction
    (c) Full voting rights and the duty to pay taxes in the territory they reside within.

To take account of the specific needs of overseas territories a British Citizen does not have the automatic right to reside or emigrate permanently to an overseas territory or dependence (IoM, CI, Bermuda / Bahamas, Leeward, Windward, Cayman Islands or South Atlantic territories etc.). Immigration will be controlled according to local laws but a reasonable route to residency must be provisioned.

A British National includes a citizen of any overseas territory status and grants provision (a), (b) and (c) as above and the right to reside in the territory stated clearly on the passport.

A British National Overseas is specific to the people of Hong Kong who have a BNO passport or are eligible for one. It grants (a) above with a specific administrative route to achieving permanent residence and or Nationality.

A Labour/ Liberal proposal to bring in national Identity Cards was opposed by the Conservatives. In response the cost of a passport will be reduced to £40 and a 'Domestic' passport is introduced which will allow travel within the BCC only and cost £20, available at Post Offices.

Citizens of third-party countries with access to (a) include: Duncay (via the (British Irish Isles Agreement), The-kalmar-union (reference), Members of the Collective Security Entente, Aozhou through the Commonwealth of Nations Treaty and European Council member-state citizens.

Letter to Constantin Trelles, President of The Federal Republic of Cruesnia

Greetings,

I want to personally thank you for the very friendly message. It was well received and will be one I will cherish in my time as President and after as well.

Our countries have a deeply connected history, with similar cultures and faith. Your nation is with out a doubt the most important partner we have in Europe and globally as well.

We will continue to strengthen the strong relationship we have been building for decades now, and I look forward to working with you. You’re a bright man, a hard working man, and it has been wonderful to work with you in the past. When we last met it was discussing the establishment of what is now the European Council.

I wish you well, and hope you visit The Kalmar Union soon. My team will be reaching out to you on a visit to Helsinki soon.

With warm regards,

Frederik Duus
President of The Kalmar Union

Rising Political Powerhouse Clashes with Her Majesty
Translated from Latin

Elections have come and gone in Roma and Nova Tunesia, with a new Senate and local officers taking charge of the internal affairs of the Empire. One of these newly elected Senators is Vincent Rossi, grandson of a former President of the Italian Republic. Senator Rossi has been present in the Roman political world for some time now. He's been a long-time member of Roma's conservative party, and ran on a ticket of return to traditional values with a focus on his Catholic upbringing. He has a large following and has already formed a sort of power bloc within the Senate between himself and 11 other Senators after only a few short weeks in office.

Recently Her Majesty made a public statement regarding her wedding to the newly appointed Augusta, Kaya Akbas. This statement has sparked some controversy among the general population of the Empire. Protests, both for and against LGBT rights have appeared in both Roma and Tunis, closing down city blocks for hours and days at a time. Senator Rossi and his Conservative bloc have made several comments during their election campaigns- but now that they have been elected their voices have gotten notably louder. Especially that of Rossi himself.

"While the Imperatrix worries herself over the right to break the laws of nature, she forgets that this very right is already protected by the Constitution her father helped to write. Along with that right, is the right to free speech which the protesters on both sides are freely able to exercise- not just the side Her Majesty agrees with. Actually, while we’re talking about things Her Majesty has forgotten, the very first section of our founding document specifies that the role of the monarch is to serve the will of the Roman people. Not some false claim to Imperial legitimacy. She’s put so much effort into the Commonwealth that she has forgotten to pay any attention to her own people! For the supposed monarch of the Roman Empire, she spends more time working on projects beyond our borders than on actually serving the true Roman people. Where her father- God rest his soul- was a strong and forward thinking leader who knew what he was doing and put his people first, the Imperatrix has shown time and time again that she is too young and too inexperienced to know what she is doing. The Senate’s best course of action should be to restrict her powers as much as possible for the good of Romans, not foreigners.”

This is an excerpt from one of his many speeches that he has given at rallies before and after his election. Senator Rossi has drawn much of his support from the older generations who were around for the Italian Republic and the War of Roman Ascension. He also received a large amount of votes from the Catholic and Muslim populations of both Italica and Tunesia. As of now, Her Majesty has not responded to any of these very accusatory statements.
