This morning, I awoke to find that all five regions of the Augustin Alliance were closing embassies with Callista. Given that these regions have been very active and close to our region for months, I inquired as to the reasoning behind this sudden closure. After a bit of digging, it turns out that it was because of a statement that I made in our discord server. Specifically, it was pertaining to a report made on the forums that accused one of our region members, Poskukune, of trolling. I responded by saying "that's not even trolling, libtards", which caused AA to close our embassies. While one can argue one way or the other as to if my comment should warrant such a drastic action, all in all it was unbecoming of a Prime Minister and of myself. The government has tried to remediate the situation, but due to a response I made without knowing the full details of the situation they have decided to continue with the embassy closure. I apologize for causing distress to anyone who read my comment, and furthermore to Callista for potentially soiling our reputation on this site.

More members of the government will come forward shortly with their responses on this situation and what we will be doing to try and move forward. I do not plan on resigning at this time, however if warranted I may create an unofficial poll asking Callistans if they wish for me to continue as Prime Minister.

Regarding the Popular Restoration Front leadership election, that will be postponed for two days until this situation settles down. I am still pondering as to whether or not I should run. [nation]Boilanzandia/nation].
