Meylean and Acarisian officials meet in Anise. Talks of soothing relations and stabilizing Western Asania
Spring 1842
Despite the social unrest in Meyle the Foreign Council has been hard at work to continue Meylean external affairs. The current Foreign Councilor, Harovi Pilemono has contacted the Acarisian Embassy in Anise requesting a state-meeting between their two agencies to discuss foreign politics and the goals of Acaris and Meyle moving the decade of the 40s. As the two major nations in Western Asania Meyle and Acaris have kept in contact for years and while Meylean and Acarisian foreign policy have been at odds, especially recently any medium from which they can assure each others neutrality in the others affairs and a possible treaty expressing their friendship and declaration of maintaining trade and stability in the region is a big goal for the Foreign Council and the Meylean government since Councilor Kagen.
Currently in Western Asania only Meyle, Acaris, Ogssa, and Niama are independent nations, on the other side of the continent to the south lie Adeile and Russilon yet with the instability and growing authority of Hygessevini even small Meyle, so soon after independence may begin to take a more active stance on the world stage. The conclusion of these talks may decide where Meyle's eyes shall wander in the coming years.

For 3 years Kronska Petroleum ABB has grown into one of the largest oil extractors in the world, acquiring rights in many overseas markets. However, with the development of nuclear power in Caliane and Gelenia, the company has started to explore for uranium deposits as well.
What the company has found astonished everyone in Krndalsmark, as Kronska Petro has found the largest known uranium deposits in the world in Krondalsmark. While the company will still provide oil products, the believe uranium will be even more profitable and have rebranded themselves as *Kronska Energy ABB*. The government has quickly set up guidelines for safe handling of the resource and scientists are looking into safe containment and storage methods. However, that does not discourage Kronska Energy.
Chairman Mstizinzar Goes International
30th of Summersend, 1841
Several years ago, Acaris came together with the nation of Macelentia to create the Socialist International Pact, often referred to as the Socialist International, or simply the SocIntern, an international organization of friendly socialist governments intended to foster improved relations, development aid, and cultural and political exchange between its members. Shortly after the formation of the SocIntern, Acaris converted a concert house into the official headquarters of the organization, and it was membership in the Socialist International that motivated Acarisian intervention in the Macelentian civil war.
Now, Chairman Mstizinzar has determined that Acarisian commitment to the SocIntern should be increased, and to this end, he has announced a national visit to Macelentia. This visit will see the Chairman meeting with the leadership of Macelentia, as well as touring the countryside and speaking with the Macelentian people. His final stop before returning is to be at the site of the Battle of Minus Trégora, where he plans to pay respect to the approximately 1,200 Acarisians that fell during the Battle.
He will be traveling aboard the Revolution of the Hammer-and-Sickle Line, and plans to depart in two weeks time.

It is typically infused with elder or lindinberry for a crisp fruity taste. It has been listed on the Kronstadt Stock Exchange with the government holding a 17% stake.
14 years of federalism and democracy: Constitution Day in Vittoci!

On this day, fourteen years ago the Constiution of the Federal Republic of Vittoci was signed, bringing democracy to the Kinar Manik for the first time in it's history. Throughout the last few weeks, the communities of Vittoci across all four provinces have been decorating and preparing for the major occasion.
Città di Scauro Erupted into a fervor of red, white, and gold as the sun rose, with the melodies of patriotic songs and the anthem being heard across the city. Most reports stated upwards of 160,000 people attended the main rally in Carides Square, with many more arriving in the square throughout the day.
In the halls of the National Assembly, the representives took the pledge to federalism, democracy, and equality - the founding values of the Federal Republic of Vittoci, and their commitment to the constiution and the nation.
Outside of the capital, celebrations continue elsewhere, in the Furevius Jungle, the flag flys as high as the trees themselves. in small eastern rural communities, communal feasts and small celebrations occur.
The day is considered a day of liberation or a alternate independence day by many, as it often used to symbolize the end of the Carles regime propped up by the pre-reform Aidian Union.
As the sun sets on constiution day, the decorations begin to go down and the echoes of melodies and speeches alike begin to die down. The size of this years celebration was like one never seen before, and shows the effort of the Traglia Administration to improve national pride and unity.

Meylean Navy unveils first domestically produced warship!
Summertide 1842
A years long effort at designing a modern vessel that can be domestically produced in Meyle has finally come to fruition. To much fanfare the first domestically produced Meylean warship was launched in the summer at Padenti Harbour. This ship, the MS Natevezi is the lead ship of *Natevezi-class* destroyers. 3 more have already been laid down and named Haprinvezi, Eukivezi, and Vinervezi already. The task of creating these modern vessels were spearheaded by Tanpanshaiath industries and used the shipyards primarily owned by Pochi-Filichan. This cooperative work has briefly united the Meylean people by this feat, yet with no speech carried out by the State Councilor and the unrest already in the background what should be a happy moment is slightly soured by the reality of the nation and a machine made for war doesn't help unite the people for long.
Nonetheless, the Natevezi proudly waves the flag of Meyle as it makes a ceremonious trip to Kiançilu under its crew to conduct training with the Kiançilu flotilla before returning to the Meylean Home Fleet after 4 months.
Colonies Granted Good Governance Status

The Krondish Crown has granted the colonies the status of "Good Governance". This recognizes the achievements made in the colonies in governing themselves and establishes a baseline of home rul for the former colonies of Krondish Korasha and Krondish Arctica Lands. This puts them on the path towards obtaining Dominion status in the near future and elevating them to full self-governance under the Crown.

After lengthy negotiations, King Nicholas V has agreed with popular demands to recuse himself from having an official say in domestic policy.
As laid out in the 1801 Instrument of Government, the King can veto any legislation. This has been abolished and replaced with Royal Assent, where where the King can advise and give opinion on legislation, but ultimately may not block legislation on internal policy of the elected government.
In a compromise, Royal Prerogative is maintained on external diplomatic pacts and declaring war.
1843 Snap Election — Francis de La Trémoille found dead

Third term? Well, not anymore
Former President Francis de La Trémoille, after having travelled the country and answered increasingly intense interviews regarding international affairs was found dead at the presidential residence on the morning of Wintersend 10th. After an autopsy, it was concluded he had succumbed to a brain aneurysm.
Many mourned the death of a man that the people considers to be a stout vanguard and civil rights proponent, caring for the people he served and giving freedoms to those unheard. The funeral service had Arnians glued to their radios and—for those most fortunate—their television sets. Interestingly enough, this has been the first live television broadcast made by the Arnian government.
A Controversial Replacement
With candidacies pouring in, one stood out among the rest for the Punicans: Thomas de Charron. An avid supporter of democracy and personal liberties, he has voiced his outrage at “the near-totalitarian abuses of power” taking place in Acaris and—to a lesser degree—Litanie.
Emphasizing the ideal that Arnyvonna is to involve itself with nations that align with its values of liberty and international cooperation, Thomas de Charron has captured the gaze of the nation in interviews and media appearances.
Additionally, a lot of his complaints have been centered around Acaris, describing it as “a totalitarian hellhole” and its government “a danger to its own people”. With sunk costs still leaving a bad taste in some of Arnyvonna’s CEOs, the Carnotites have shown their support for this rhetoric.

Due to the many inconveniences that struck Macelentia over the past decade, the Macelentian interior issues were no harmless, though on the verge of the *plan B development plan* the country is still struggling with speed to return the proper change of economics state if it.
As suggested by the Minister of economics, Macelentia has decided to resort to taking loans from the international bank, and are looking fotward to recieving a respone as soon as possible.

The Macelentian call for help
Some Arnians have watched from time to time the developments of the Macelentian civil war, especially those of religious organizations. Given the reason for such conflicts, however, said group refrained from responding in favour of one side or another. But recently, that attitude has shifted.
Macelentia has called on the international community for help. Fueled with ambition and the goal to show Macelentians how The True Path is done right, a number of priests and volunteers have boarded ships bound for Macelentia, where they performed what Sanctumism has had taught them was right.
True Sanctumists
Charity, tolerance and guidance. Values that Arnians have been taught to perform in their daily lives were truly at work in war-torn Macelentia. Even if the civil war had ended a few years previous, much work was left to be done for the nation. And the Arnian Sacntumist charity officials were hard at work helping those in need, providing food, clothes and medical attention to those willing to receive.
While it may have infuriated a few, the priests present have offered religious guidance to those they were helping. Notably to the agnostics and the faithless, who were deemed by Arnian religious officials to be “the poorest”. Whether the government agreed or not was another question.
The Arnian government, pressured by its political influencers, partially funded this effort to help the citizens of Macelentia. Most of the capital required to achieve what had been done came from the faithful, in the form on donations.
Opportunist as usual, the Arnian government seized this moment to send some of its diplomats to establish relations with Macelentia, in an effort to seek diplomatic tolerance and possibly even cooperation given the differing political philosophies guiding both nations.

The Hopeless Dream of the Bloc
13 years ago, the Bloc of Independent Nations was founded to mutually support its members against colonial aggression. However, given the ever changing geopolitical climate, President Thomas de Charron deems that the Bloc has run its course.
After briefly consulting with Acarisian and Litanian diplomats, who were insulted by the new president’s views on their nations, all have agreed to put an end to the Bloc. The Litanians, however, were more reluctant as trade agreements were beneficial to both countries.
It was decided that ties with Acaris would be cut, while agreements with Litanie would continue as usual, albeit without the mutual military support.
The Socialist Party, who had aided in the establishment of ties between Acaris and Arnyvonna, are outraged to see their efforts go in vain. However, with the fact that they still remain a minor political force, not much has come from this sentiment.
As of the 25th of Summertide, 1843, the Bloc of Independent Nations will cease to be a geopolitical entity.
The Jezarin Harbour Fire
9 Highsummer, 1843
It should have been a normal work day for Tsajen Törekh, a dock worker in the country’s largest shipping port in Jezarin. Life was good: his salary and work benefits had increased since First Minister Ilmakhtai’s investments in the nation’s port facilities, and mood ran high among the city’s sizeable population of blue-collar workers. The government seemed to be doing well dealing with the economic downturn. Tsajen noticed nothing unusual as he walked to work and took his position as head of the work gang of Dock #5 preparing to unload the next cargo ship.
The explosion happened a few minutes past 10 o’clock. The first thing Tsajen remembered was that he had been kneeling down to tie his shoelaces, ready to take a well-earned break, when his senses were suddenly overwhelmed from everywhere at once, and he was thrown violently to the floor. Gasping for air, he first realised that he couldn’t hear: his ringing ears felt like they had just been hit by two brick walls at once. His eyes, too, grasped for whatever they could see through the after-images of the sun appearing directly in front of him. Pulling himself to his feet, staggering, falling, trying to get up again, falling… It was only then he noticed the bleeding. Kain knew what shrapnel had gone into his face, and oh by Nizim, it was starting to hurt now. He became slowly more aware of heat all around him. Though he couldn’t see the flames, he knew that they must be there, and he had to get away from them. Disoriented and confused, with little to no sense of direction, he stumbled away from where he thought he had been.
Meanwhile, as Tsajen screamed hoarsely for help, the flames spread. Not to his knowledge - or his priorities, at that moment - all of his colleagues had perished, and more would share the same fate as the fire reached stores of fertiliser, ammunition and fuel awaiting transport out of the harbour. Firefighters grappled the inferno for hours on end; Tsajen was the only man on Dock #5 they got out alive. When they finally got it under control the following evening, the official death toll had reached 342.
Tsajen himself was rushed to a hospital, where he was treated for severe burns and flesh wounds. During his stay of several weeks, the full story of the disaster came out: an explosive device, of uncertain provenance, had detonated on board the ship his men had been about to work on, which had been delivering munitions from factories in Iluniya. No group ever officially claimed responsibility, but the government was quick to point the finger at the QRF, a religious extremist group operating in Ghazva known to vehemently oppose Koxoriek Neo-Kainism. Never before had the group committed terrorist acts, however. The organisation’s leadership quickly dispersed and disappeared, only reinforcing the government’s version of events, and Ilmakhtai quickly ordered increased military presence in Ghazva to stamp out those that remained. The Ghazvans of the QRF are left with an oh-so-familiar choice - defend themselves, or be persecuted.

The Return of Religion and the Growth of a Rumor
16th of Highsummer, 1843
Three years ago, the reorganization of the Acarisian Convocation began, with the intent of importing Sanctumite theology to supplant Kainist influences that had, in the view of the government, turned Convocationism highly reactionary. As a part of that reorganization process, the ban on public religion, instated following the discovery of the Convocation’s role in the attempts to overthrow the CSPA and in the murder of Chairman Keitann, was set to be lifted some time in 1842. This lifting of the ban, however, was contingent on the election of a new Arch-Hierophant, a process which was voluntarily delayed by the members of the Acarisian Convocation in order to provide themselves with more time to finish the alterations to the makeup and nature of Convocationism. During that time, two major factions formed, one seeking to establish Neo-Convocationism as a uniquely Acarisian religion, and one seeking to continue the importation of Reformed Sanctumism, with the goal of establishing Neo-Convocationism as the Acarisian variant of Reformed Sanctumism. After some time, the Sanctumite faction, under Grand Cleric Mliyero Brakh, triumphed, with the leader of the Anti-Sanctumite faction, Grand Cleric Dernel Khmtrilant, publicly renouncing his former position and endorsing the Sanctumites. Upon the conclusion of this debate, the selection of a new Arch-Hierophant did not take long, with the highly popular Grand Cleric Brakh being selected for the role.
Four days after his selection, he would take part in a ceremony in the Great Temple in Keitann City, in which he swore an oath to both the Divine and to the Acarisian people, declaring that he would uphold the values of the New Convocation, as well as to work alongside the Revolutionary government to do the most good possible, before taking the name of Kreizekh and being enthroned as Arch-Hierophant. While the transition away from a wholly independent, if deeply reactionary and Kainist-adjacent, native religion to Acarisian-flavored Sanctumism is bound to be a bumpy one, the general attitude is one of optimism and overall enthusiasm, as the election of Arch Hierophant Kreizekh VIII has resulted in the automatic revocation of the ban on public religion. Chairman Mstizinzar himself has even been seen attending the first services held in the Great Temple, accompanied by Letryk Mannanleikh, Chairman of the AACRA, an act that both delighted the nation’s religious folk and provided further substance to the rumor that the two men were lovers behind the scenes.

The First Minister’s New Year Address
1 Wintertide, 1844
In the first annual New Year Address by the First Minister, Ilmakhtai Eneis gave a monumental speech that will be remembered for years to come. Tens of thousands gathered in the city square to hear him speak personally, but millions more tuned in on national radio (and television, for those who could afford the luxury.) All six channels of the National Broadcasting Company were given over to Ilmakhtai’s words.
He began by addressing times gone by, and his three successful years in power. With the bloodless coup of 1840, he ousted the oppressive military regime, and restored democracy to his people. The next few years saw his government invest millions in industry, in an effort to continue modernisation efforts, which he promised would keep going “to bring our nation to the light”. He then addressed the horrific terrorist attack of five months prior, and reaffirmed the perpetrators as traitors to the state, and “enemies of our development”.
With that, he then went on to what was fairly clearly the crux of the speech, behind its disguise as a hopeful message for the future. He announced that both the leader of the QRF, fled after the purge of its membership in Ghazva, and ex-military dictator Sielej Nelün, had fled to the Souelle. Along with their treasonous supporters, they were taking advantage of the crisis there to avoid justice. Too long had passed, he said, with the Koxoriek southern neighbour harbouring traitors. Too long with instability right on their doorstep, waiting to overspill. The colonial powers had failed in their proclaimed duty to keep balance, he announced: their grip on Korasha must be dismantled.
With the closing words of his speech, Ilmakhtai called his countrymen to action. “To the future we must turn our eyes, for there lies opportunity. Opportunity to take back a position of relevance, and no longer be secondary to foreign powers. The colonisers have shown, again and again, that they grow complacent, and incompetent: how can we let them keep their slimy grip on our Korashan brethren? Our power lies dormant, my people - it is for us to seize it!” Thunderous applause rang out at his words, as the nation cheered in another year on the path towards greatness.

The Foundation of the Red Navy
14th of Veiltide, 1844
For several years now, the Acarisian government has been taking steps towards the creation of a navy, intended to secure Acarisian territorial waters and defend against foreign incursions. During the Macelentian Civil War, the lack of a navy forced the government to purchase vessels from Arnyvonna, a situation that they do not wish to be in again. The recent completion of the Varzkhi Drydock has convinced both the Red Army and Chairman Mstizinzar that now is the time to begin ramping up their efforts. To that end, the Red Navy has been officially created, albeit only on paper for the time being. Recognizing that before any ships can be built and manned, an officer corps must be trained, the construction of a Maritime Academy has been ordered, also in Varzhki. Owing to the lack of Acarisian naval personnel, the Acarisian government has decided to issue an international message, offering foreign naval experts the chance to train the first generation of Acarisian naval officers. Any foreign experts that choose to accept this offer will be provided with full accommodations, courtesy of the Acarisian state, as well as the same pay as an NCO in the Red Army. They will also be given the option of full Acarisian citizenship upon graduation of the first class from the Academy, should they be so inclined.

Creation of the Syndicalist Party

Since its creation in 1822, the PT was a party that defended labor ideals, not getting involved with trade syndicalism. But the party's president, Henrique Barros, stated that the PT would "cease" to exist and convert to the PS (Partido Sindicalista), defending syndical and labor ideas.
