Khoikhoia wrote:BEGINNING OF DIPLOMATIC TIES WITH PORTUGAL AND THE ALGARVES

Correspondence to Paulo Rangel, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Portugal and the Algarves

Friday, 3rd May, 2024

Dear Honourable Esteemed Mr. Minister,

After some consideration and talk, the Khoikhois Republic looks forward to the beginning of long-lasting diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Portugal and the Algarves. In times of conflict across the globe, reliable partners are crucial to the stability and ability to progress of any country. And it is especially important for Lusophone nations to stick together. We hope this is just the beginning of something greater.

A robust start to this alliance will begin in the strongest of terms. It is important that Khoikhoia does not only recognise you, its former coloniser, as one of the many nations it shares diplomatic conventions with but also as a friend - as an ally. Thus it will not only be embassies for diplomatic talks established, but also Khoikhoia's application to the Portuguese Imperial Commonwealth, and the signing of a treaty of alliance.

Khoikhoia hopes to send Mr. Paulo Araújo, of the Khoikhois Foreign Service, to your offered embassy space, Avenida Dom Vasco da Gama, 36, 1400-128 Lisbon, Portugal. He hopes to lead a team of 25 individuals in the embassy. This is comprised of 8 security personnel, 10 diplomatic staff, and 6 service staff. We request to be allowed to hire service staff from local workers, as per Foreign Ministry protocol.

To the embassy, I request permission to import 10 large Aloe Vera pot plants and 20 small Aloe Vera pot plants, and for security 8 Sporting ASiR 2000K (a semi-automatic Khoikhois rifle, 7.62×39mm cartridge), 11 H&K USP pistols, 8 batons, and 8 one-blade pocketknives, blade length 75mm. In exchange, we would be honoured to see Lieutenant-Colonel Pedro Costa and his delegation at Nos. 256-260 Louis-Ferdinand Road, Porto do Cabo.

We also request to be given a place in the Commonwealth, earning a prestigious status. As I have mentioned, it is for the good of Portuguese-speaking nations sticking together. We ask that you give us all the specifications in the application for an embassy in your reply, as well as any details you may have about the establishment of the Portuguese embassy in Khoikhoia and the arrival of Ambassador Costa.

Furthermore, we believe that in helping our Lusophone brothers, threats to them must be neutralised. We have seen your nation come under hostilities with the Caliphate of Algiers, and for this reason, we would like to sign an agreement of alliance and non-aggression pact. We would be honoured to have Ambassador Araújo sign this in Lisbon. In keeping with this, we would be happy to participate in military cooperation and joint exercises.

As you may know, today is a special day in our history, and yours. It is the day Khoikhoia declared independence from Portugal, under a coalition of veteran independentists led by Local Minister Marcos da Sousa. But the time now is for cooperation and improvement of relations, unlike then when separation was the favoured move. So by sending this to you on this day, I hope to forge a new path.

We hope that all this will come together to ensure a brighter, better future for both of our nations. Dialogue is, in any case, an important milestone, whatever its outcome. I hope that the alliance of Khoikhoia and Portugal comes to a fruitful realisation in good faith. I wish you the best of health and luck in your dealings, especially in your reply, and thank you for reading this humble correspondence.

Yours faithfully,
Lieutenant-General Henrique de Cravos, OGMS
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Khoikhoia
General of the Special Forces Northeast Division

From the of Foreign Affairs of Portugal and the Algarves to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Khoikhoia,

We confirm receipt of your letter on Monday the 6th. We are happy to welcome Mr. Paulo Araújo and whatever personnel he feels necessary to the Khoikhois embassy at the former Imperial Office for Khoikhoia at Avenida Dom Vasco da Gama, 36, 1400-128 Lisbon, Portugal and agree to all of your demands. However, beyond this point, we would like to request that all decorations and furnishings, vehicles and other necessary items be purchased only from Portuguese suppliers and vendors, and the Portuguese embassy will only use Khoikhois suppliers and vendors in Khoikhoia. We hope that Lieutentant-Colonel Pedro Costa is well-received in Porto do Cabo and request that 8 gendarmes of the Guarda Real da Polícia, 8 Rangers of the Centro de Tropas de Operações Especiais, 10 diplomatic staff, and 4 service staff join him. We trust their judgement about what equipment to bring, but would be most happy to allow the MFA of Khoikhoia to inspect their equipment and return anything unacceptable.

We also see Khoikhoia as an ally and view recent political developments in a very positive light. We congratulate Admiral Everton on his accession to the Presidency. As you know, the empire is fundamental to the projection of Portuguese power, but only so long as a united front is presented to the world. The integrity of each member is the common concern of all. Moreover, victory depends upon maintaining of this united front. Khoikhoia shares the Portuguese distaste for terrorist and insurgents and cannot stand on its own against them. This special relationship will enable Portugal and Khoikhoia to exert influence in regions outside of their immediate reach; Portugal sees Khoikhoia as key to maintain large-scale operations in the MENA region, if required.

The maximum military requirement of Khoikhoia is that she participate actively in any war in which the empire might get involved; the minimum is that she defend Khoikhois borders. Portugal also seeks Khoikhois collaboration in defence of the empire in case of an attack. Portugal hopes that Khoikhoia will only accept Portuguese assistance for maintaining the efficiency of her armed forces, and make available and maintain bases for offence at the required degree of readiness. Ideally, allied forces should be standardized and have uniformity of organization and training, and the closest possible liaison should be maintained between officers of Khoikhoia and the empire, so that collaboration between allied countries in war would be easy and effective.

We seek close treaty relations with Khoikhoia, the treaty including mutual guarantees against aggression, and clarifying of Luso-Khoikhois relations beneficially. Moreover, we hope to form an understanding with the Khoikhois administration as it stands such that rights and obligations are minimally defined and left to the good sense and good feelings of the respective governments. Portugal should be able to treat each aspect of their relations with Khoikhoia strictly on its merits. We hope Khoikhoia will be amenable to imperial influence and vice versa, and the empire will maintain a solid front against terrorist domination in Africa.

I would like to introduce you to my colleague, Ministro do Ultramar Manuel Castro de Almeida, who will be managing the special relationship between our countries should this dialogue succeed.

In the interest of laying down terms for a treaty, we propose the following points:

1. The Government of Khoikhoia will informed the Khoikhois people that under the new government and constitutional framework, Khoikhoia shall be a sovereign independent republic. The Government of Khoikhoia will declare and affirm Khoikhoia’s desire to enter a special relationship with the Kingdom of Portugal and the Algarves and her acceptance of The King as the symbol of the free association between Khoikhoia and the empire.

2. The Prime Minister of Khoikhoia, or the President if the Government of Khoikhoia so decides, will join the Grã-Estado-Maior General to represent Khoikhoian interests in imperial military policy.

3. The special relationship shall be recognised by the special title for the embassies between Portugal and Khoikhoia of High Commission.

4. A Portuguese military force will be maintained in Khoikhoia at Portuguese expense and under Portuguese jurisdiction to train the Khoikhois military.

5. Portugal will recognise Khoikhoia as an sovereign and independent state with her own foreign policy. Portugal and Khoikhoia will be free to join regional defence pacts and conduct foreign affairs but will not attack each other and will support each other in case of attack on one or the other.

6. When contemplating the negotiation of a treaty, Portugal or Khoikhoia should give due consideration to its possible effect upon other Governments and should take steps to inform Governments likely to be interested of its intention. This rule should be understood as applying to any negotiations which any Government intends to conduct, so as to leave it to the other Governments to say whether they are likely to be interested. When a Government has received information of the intention of any other Government to conduct negotiations, it is incumbent upon it to indicate its attitude with reasonable promptitude. So long as the initiating Government receives no adverse comments and so long as its policy involves no active obligations on the part of the other Governments, it may proceed on the assumption that its policy is generally acceptable. It must, however, before taking any steps which might involve the other Governments in any active obligations, obtain their definite assent. Where by the nature of the treaty it is desirable that it should be ratified on behalf of all the Governments of the Empire, the initiating Government may assume that a Government which has had full opportunity of
indicating its attitude and has made no adverse comments will concur in the ratification of the treaty. In the case of a Government that prefers not to concur in the ratification of a treaty unless it has been signed by a plenipotentiary authorised to act on its behalf, it will advise the appointment of a plenipotentiary so to act.

7. Khoikhoia will join and send delegates to a federation to regulate the usage, pronunciation, and spelling of the Portuguese language established and chaired by a delegation of Portuguese university educators and linguistic experts. Khoikhoia will accept the decisions of this board as compulsory and will adopt the Portuguese standard in Portuguese-language instruction, including any educational certifications and standardised testing.

8. Portugal and Khoikhoia will maintain the necessary military forces for defending their own territory and the empire at large.

9. The King of Portugal and the Algarves will be given Khoikhois citizenship and will have the right to provide non-binding advice to the President of Khoikhoia. The Prime Minister of Portugal and the Algarves will be given temporary Khoikhois citizenship, expiring at the end of his term, and will have the right to provide non-binding advice to the Prime Minister of Khoikhoia.

10. Portugal will be reserved a 5% share in the state oil company.

In addition, we would like to maintain a mutual and informal military alliance as long as the current government is in power. We are eager to hear your reply to these terms and hope you do not think them too demanding. I too wish you good health and good luck.

Kind regards,

Union New Canadian-American Acadia wrote:Today, May 8, in the main city and capital of Acadia, a solemn ceremony of the coronation of the new queen will be held. Louise the First will take the throne, after the blind and sick queen is unable to rule the kingdom, her daughter, 83-year-old Louise the First, will become the new queen. The coronation ceremony began in the morning, and of course, guests continue to arrive at the venue.

But the main event has not yet arrived. As soon as all the guests have gathered on the spot, Louise the First will take the throne, and she will be presented with a crown, symbolizing her power and right to rule the kingdom. At this moment, everyone will hold their breath to see this unique beauty, and welcome Louise the First on her path to glory and greatness.

The incredibly crowded solemn procession began early in the morning and continued throughout the day. This majestic celebration was attended by presidents with their children and wives, kings and queens, emperors, as well as representatives of high society, including counts, marquises, and even family governesses.

One of the main highlights on this momentous day will be the musical accompaniment of the ceremony, which, according to the statement, will pay tribute to the heritage, combining traditions. This not only reflects the new queen's love for music and art, but is also intended to highlight the importance of cultural heritage in the life of the kingdom.

Particular attention will be paid to the anthem Land of Our Ancestors, which will be played in its original version, with organic accompaniment by the orchestra. This melodic work, filled with patriotic spirit and pride for one's country, was written a long time ago, but still remains an unchanged symbol of the kingdom. The sounds of this anthem will remind everyone of the great history and heritage that the ancestors passed on, and the responsibility to future generations to preserve this heritage.

Today, the city is transformed into a sea of colors and joy, adorned with the bright flags of the New Canadian-American Acadia Union. The air is filled with the smell of fresh flowers and the sounds of music that never cease to amaze with their diversity and beauty.

Residents of the city take to the streets to share their joy with neighbors and friends. From windows and balconies, they irrigate the streets with water decorated with roses, which is one of the brightest manifestations of this holiday.

All city life is in full swing, and everywhere you can see dancing and cheerful people who celebrate this significant day with them. Festivals and concerts organized in honor of this holiday attract crowds who want to get to know the traditions and culture of this amazing place.

Under the rays of the bright sun, surrounded by her family and distinguished guests, the new queen, Louise the First, with an eloquent gaze on her people, raises her right hand and pronounces an oath. Her voice, sounding pure and clear, fills the air with solemnity and respect.

The queen promises to be a queen not only in name, but also in deeds and words. She vows to serve her people honestly, faithfully, and with a devoted heart. No luxury or power will benefit her personal interests, instead she promises all the inhabitants of her kingdom to look after them and put their interests before her own.

Louise the First also vows to do everything possible to make her subjects feel safe and secure. She promises to be a reliable support for her people, and considers this her most important obligation as queen.

Dear Louise,

I offer you my humblest and sincerest congratulations for one year of successful rule. I wish you many more years of prosperity and hope that our kingdoms can collaborate fruitfully in the future. Please write me at your earliest convenience; I joyously await your reply.

Best wishes,
Duarte, King of Portugal and the Algarves

Today, May 7th, the National Parliament voted against the economic plan. Making Bernard Marceau's last project a failure.
With a loss of $8.5 billion, the country could experience an economic recession.

Topic: Military Withdrawal from Khoikhoia
Concerned Authorities: Khoikhoia, Ministry of Defense, Indian Armed Forces, Ministry of External Affairs
Date: 9 May 2024

With RANF defeated in Khoikhoia, Indian Armed Forces will withdraw from the country by 11 May 2024. All 10 Rashtriya Rifles Battalions and their support units will return to India. The Indian Armed Forces Europe and Africa Headquarters will move to Lagos to better coordinate the Coalition efforts in Zamorika. Indian Army reports 24 Soldiers were Killed In Action and 53 Wounded in Action. Two OBF Aditya MRAPs were damaged during the fighting in Kojina which were sent back to India for factory rebuilt.

Brigadier A.R Narayan for the last time held a briefing in Khoikhoia.

"Today our mission in Khoikhoia is over, We have shown the RANF and the world that RANF is not a invincible army which will essily take over and persecute civilians. As much as RANF don't want to admit it, their downfall has started, and we all shall always remember, Good always prevails against the evil."

For three millennia, the land has never joined a league of States. Even when our forefathers joined the Peloponnesian League in defeating Athens, it was as an ally and not a proper member of the league. How can the King of Kings submit to a King's hegemony? How can a lion bow to a sheep? Yet times are changing, and I, in my infinite wisdom and humility proceeding from Ahuramazda, have decided to ask the Co-Economic Defense Organization, to join the strong Aryan sons of Persia with their blood in a pact of mutual defense and trade so that our gates are not forced open by some loathsome power. These kingdoms are wealthy and strong, their laws good in the sight of all-knowing Ahuramazda, and their people noble and correct in their dealings.

Thus writes Kûruš Shah, the great king, king of kings, the king of Persia, the king of countries, the Hassan Jalalian on the 21st day of Faravadin in the 3762nd year since the birth of Zarathustra.

Hell on Earth: Operation Takeover

Personnel, resources and equipment have been organizing in a swift manner to prepare for Operation Takeover, an operation with the objective to assault and defeat the recently established Stronghold that was established near Van Zylrus that was discovered by the FIS and from then own a mobilization had begun around that area to begin preparing an attack since unexpectedly the HQ had been reinforced substantially more than previously anticipated with the original estimate to be 400 to 600 personnel and 10 Technicals, however that had increased in a rapid pace to what the FIS can tell to be about 1,100 to 1,200 in and around the area of the HQ and estimates say there are also about 100 Technicals in the area and 4 T72's.

This unbelievable reinforcement left the FIS mildly shocked but from what can be seen the HQ is of high importance due to the closeness of the border to neighboring countries meaning they could smuggle resources and weapons through said border which is likely the reason of the fast reinforcement, however, even with the RANF forces being swelled, Operation Takeover would still commence although with re-adjusted numbers.

At dawn Operation Takeover would commence at 4:00AM whilst it was still dark and Transvaalli forces sprung into action, the main force that would engage with the enemy would be roughly 1,200 infantry both engaging in the enemy and protecting armored units with 20 Jagter 1 tanks, 40 Rooikat IFV's, 20 Boxer APC's and 40 Ratel IFV's being the main force that would engage enemy units and Skirmishes would begin as the main force slowly moved into the enemy HQ.

Before the Main force arrived at Van Zylrus, 20 PzH 2000's would begin a relentless barrage against the HQ with precise hits against fortifications, minefields, and enemy vehicles to destroy and disorganize them, after said barrage 10 PA91's would begin doing Strafe runs and Bombing runs upon RANF forces to inflict mass casualties and further soften the enemy defense due to most of the HQ and surrounding areas being open plainlands and dry grassland since its not directly in the town of Van Zylrus.

At 5:00AM the main forces arrived near the HQ where heavy fighting would begin with some reports saying the firefights were as colossal as Civilwar era battles but the Transvaalli forces further pushed forward against the enemy positions with armored units smashing through enemy lines and Jagter 1's reportedly took multiple RPG-7 rounds against the frontal armor and continued to assault with no critical damage due to the round Non-Penetrating.

At 6:30AM the main force had been able to reach the HQ and even heavier fighting began with RANF units rotating between defensive actions and small offensives to try stall the advance and T72 tank actively would only engage with lightly armored forces reportedly as 2 Rooikat's were destroyed after a RANF forces were able to stall an attack against a more forested area and 2 T72's tanks did a small counter-attack to repel the lightly armored units until air support was able to destroy one of them and make the other retreat. Even with brutal fighting and a surprising well trained force the Transvaalli force's were able to continue the assault successfully until a fateful moment that would turn the battlefield into a raging hell-scape when presumably a stray explosive of some kind hit a oil tanker and a ammunition's supply area at the same time creating a massive explosion of fiery rage that engulfed the battlefield which made it a nightmare to maintain organization among soldiers due to the fog and chaos of what happened but luckily organization did recuperate and the offensive continued.

Reports say that the explosion happened around the end of the battle but there were still many soldiers fighting, however after the explosion all organization was very hard to maintain and at that point it became a battle of survival for RANF soldiers due to either being killed or captured by Transvaall or try escape which could lead to burning alive and many would succumb to that fate with reports saying that screaming was heard all across the battlefield and many would get stuck under technicals and other debris.

Finally, through the flames emerged a victorious force of Transvaalli Jagter 1, through the flames and infantry followed closely dispatching the enemies and finally, at 10:24AM, the Van Zylrus HQ was captured and the few RANF soldiers who had surrendered were arrested.

However the leader of the HQ, Ekon Hamidi, was nowhere to be found and likely had escaped through the flames during the chaotic fighting which was a unfortunate loss to one of the main objectives of Operation Takeover, luckily his right hand man, Ben Sepho, was captured after he too was able to escape the battle but he and his men we unlucky enough to encounter the Red Star Unit (RSE), a special task force that is highly classified and from what a stray soldier said when witnessing the event "I was sitting at tree guarding one of our flanks when i heard strange noises and some sort of fight, what a saw though were men in all black with black masks covering every inch of identity, they took out 5 of Sepho's men in less than 1 minute with one crying and saying he had a family and a wife and that he was forced into working for the RANF whilst cowering before one of the RSE men. And with a silent look of almost no humanity and uttering no words, he shot the man twice, leaving him dead immediately. at least Sepho was luck enough to have just been knocked out."

In the aftermath of the flaming battle it was a hard fought victory whilst not decisive, most objectives were completed and Ekon Hamidi escaping a definite loss.

Fire brigades were able to get rid of the raging fire with minimal damage to surrounding towns and infrastructure.

Aftermath Tally:

Transvaall:

Dead: 287

Injured: 308

Be it known that Kûruš Shah has invited officials from Alpia to Nisa to renew the historical friendship between the Persian and Alpian peoples.

[Why are you using the flag of Achipel?]

Bunkers!!!!

The government of Alpia has announced that every citizen MUST have a space in a bunker. The government has laid out strict regulations for bunkers and have contracted companies to build communal nuclear bunkers throughout the country with all of the facilities. Citizens must pay a one-time fee of $1000 for the bunkers, but they have the option to opt out and build their own private bunker. This has sparked the creation and boosting of a whole new industry - the bunker industry! It is poised to grow at a rapid speed and employ thousands of people.

The PM of Alpia shall visit Nisa alongside a small Alpian delegation. We thank the Persian government for the graceful invite.
