A New Hope:

The War Continues, as the US deploys an air strike going across from Texas to California, they specifically targeted resource centers and in doing so successfully dealt a critical blow to their ability to sustain themselves and weaken them enough for a quick invasion across the borders. This was done in hopes of crippling the Mexicans for a short period while the US invaded with ground troops. Reuniting with troops inside Texas and California they committed a brutal assault taking the Mexicans by surprise with how quickly they organized. The troops were targeting and slaughtering all combatants while “trying” to avoid civilians. As the US gained ground they started deploying artillery, and from there they would continue the onslaught killing almost all combatants that would get in their way. With very few casualties the US was successful in pushing back Mexicans out of heavily populated areas of the states. They would then target communications and cell towers. A small faction of US troops would go of course and target the cell towers in hopes of blocking communication with the homeland, unfortunately, the Mexicans were stubbornly defending cell towers and pushed US forces away from them. This meant the Mexicans were likely to quickly receive reinforcements. While the main troops were busy with the slaughter and fighting for control of communication, the US deployed multiple units of tanks to seize trade routes. While met with large resistance the US was ultimately successful in occupying and slaughtering parts of the states, namely trade routes and military occupiers respectively. Falling back toward their homeland the Mexicans began to regroup and plan a counter-offensive. Setting up hastily constructed fortifications to hope they could stand their ground in the USA's next assault.
