Region: Skyreach

Middle predor wrote:It was a dark and rainy day when the RMPS Princess Sophie entered Jesrurian airspace, flying the double white ensigns of a peaceful mission.
The pearl-grey monster descended gently from a rain squall, and smoke puffed gently from her twin funnels as her bulk loomed over the fields and plains of outer Jesruriz and she slowly made her way across the windswept skies.
Prince Elwin paced across the conning tower floor, his wingcloak fluttering behind him as he strode. He really ought to have sent someone else, he thought. With the situation with Kromkarie and the mounting costs of a full-steam shipbuilding programme, he ought to be back in the Palace, helping Father wrestle the complaining Dukes into shape.
Then again, there'd been no-one else to send. Prince Aldrich was off in Kromkarie, and Jesruiz was too important to send a mere duke to. Why couldn't the Jesrurians have come to us, eh?
Well, no time for that now.

Welcomed Arrival

To look upon the nation, one can see a wounded but victorious country still licking its wounds. They arrived in the capital city of Judapa, an important commerce center linking the north and south, Relatively untouched by the horrors of artillery and trench warfare. But the Revivalist Uprisings torched the street with a week long rebellion, holding out in the commercial district until the City Militia put them down. The buildings below a mix of old imperial, burnt, or the newer pragmatic buildings which were simplistic in design but colorfully painted mild blue-navy or turquoise-azure in some areas. The city itself stirs with activity, soldiers and volunteers taking care of rebuilding and aid work, or factory workers marching into their workplaces with a say in what goes on.

As their ship descends and dock in Fort Strongarm's Hanger-Bunker, they were greeted with a platoon of soldiers saluting and two men in dark black suits. "You must be the delegates, welcome, welcome." He gives them a slight hug and firm handshake. "Come come, you must be tired from such a flight, trains are much better." He ushered them into a meeting room just a floor above. The inside of this administrative building appeared ransacked and uncleaned, "Don't mind the place, we've just started doing things you see. Well sit down and relax, would you like anything?" A soldier appeared before them with brandy and the old Governor's private imperial wines. Another held cigars, some stuffed with tobacco some with marijuana, and the another had a charcuterie board filled with fine cold cuts and cheeses. "Have you looked at our proposal, and what do you have to say?" He asked.
