Initial reports state the damage to the rail system had degraded total efficiency to just 35%, reducing commercial trade and load capacity. Comrail was tasked to repair damaged railroads first and implement a gradual modernization of existing rails in the next two years. Logistical problems concerning rail and telegraphs taken care of, port authorities and mail services had special attention with renewed funding as Gale Nautical Company was contracted to expand existing ports for larger capacity. While a national mail servce, or NMS, was created to send peoples mail for free across the nation. An estimated 30 Billion Rosas were added to the national expenditure budget, increasing debt to a small margin.
