The Holy Empire of Espana Francista commonly called Espana, is a Dictatorship in Azure Watester Federation. Espana’s mainland covers 740,000 square kilometers and has an estimated population of 400 millions. Espana comprises of 6 regions, 2 Nation-Important Cities and 2 space colonies of Solance and Gizmo.
Espana is one of two Nations, following True Faith. God has mercy to Espanan people and they have a deal with him. Espana is all dedicated to hailing Christ, the Savior. Power of their Faith is so strong, that God Almighty in His endless wisdom and overcoming care shares tiny part of this power. This is known as a Holy Pledge.

Etymology
Origin of the name are rooted into the history of Europe. Most historians agree that this is not self-determination of ancient tribe, but a name of province of an Roman Empire. Addition Francista was done to commemorate memory of brave general, who tried to save Espana from liberals and failed. Talks about changing name to Espana Cuadillana are going on, but modesty of Caudillo is preventing from happening.

The standard way to refer to a citizen of Espana Francista is as a "Espanan" or “Espanol(a)”.

History

Espana Francista is old nation, which history is full of victories and heroic defeats. Modern historiography divides its history into three main periods – Kingdom, Liberal Republic and modern Espana Francista. Date of establishment of independent state is 617 A.D.
Geography

Espana is located at the peninsula, where North and South Coasts are reachable and West part is nuclear barren. Square-like map above provides details about it geography. There are two main mountain massifs – Monte Blanco and Monte Muerte. Highest point of Espana Francista is Monte Blanco (7312 m). South is covered with swamps and jungles, north tend to steppe landscape, while west, central and east of Espana is covered with hills, forests and rivers.
Climate is mild Mediterranean with exceptions at the very south, where it is tropical and center, where climate is Continental.
Espana flora and fauna varies greatly, with 20% of all species of the world present. National animal is Bull, which represents national character – stubborn, aggressive and noble at the same time.

Demographics
Population of Espana is divided into two main groups – free people and slaves. Slaves constitute about 5% of population and are owned by free people in rural areas. They are used mostly as a field working force, though some of them are battle thralls or cultivated for ritual needs.
Free people constitute vast majority of 95% of population. Unlike slaves, free people can be denied right to be sacrificed and are regulated more strictly.
Population
Devout population of 400 million is distributed evenly around Espana, with above average numbers only in two Nation-Important cities of Nuevo Toledo and Bogota. Urbanization level is relatively low, with 40% of population living in small towns and rural areas (including slaves).

Language
Unification of language was among few achievements of Liberal Regime. Nowadays all Espanans speak same language, which is monitored and developed by Cervantes Institute in Nuevo Toledo. It is standard Spanish, although local dialects are still intact in some rural areas. It is widely spoken in the world and is considered one of the main languages of international affairs.

Religion

100% of Espanans are Catholics. Current Catholicism of Espana is in full compliance with RCC standards of liturgy and theology, although Holy Pledge. Holy Pledge is a deal of Old Testament scale. Espana offers God it children, like Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice. Faith was always in Espanans hearts, but now it is fueling their ships, loading their weapons and illuminating their churches. Elderly sacrifices themselves for the Greater Good of the Nation, with fires burning in every city and every village, hailing God Almighty. Deal was made between Caudillo and Jesus Malverde, with former making oath to keep Espana clean of heretics and heavens and latter to share God’s Grace with Nation. First move was so-called Holy Night, when all foreigners were offered as a Sacrifice along with atheist scum and others in Hand of Devil. Some may call this Pledge unholy magic, but Espanans know for sure that this is God path.

Race
Racial question was never present in Espana. Only division is between Catholics and Heavens, with latter group being slaves of the former. Racial demography varies between different areas, while major cities have all colors united in one Faith and rural areas having clusters of black and Asian villages.

Internal Politics

Nation is ruled by Caudillo, who relies on his advisors. Country is divided into regions, where dualistic power system ends into the hands of Governor. Regional Consejo Cristiano is reporting both to Governor and Consejo Cristiano Nacional, while military authorities are responsible only to Governor. Rights and obligation of citizens are listed in Constitution.

Economy

Economy of Espana Francista is opposed to capitalism. Catholic Social doctrine is fully implemented and backed by powerful AI. This allows Espana to maintain equality among Christians. Private enterprise is allowed only in slave management due to character of this business. Espana relies mostly on itself, with only luxury goods being imported. Economy is leaning to weapons production and social stability, with every family having state sponsorship for most needs, including, but not limited to, housing, food, entertainment, religious needs and employment. Low levels of employment are guaranteed by religious sector, where those who don’t work have to prey and those whose prayers are not heard being sacrificed.

Culture

Espana is highly cultured nation, which was always major player in art. After exploring limits of traditional art and producing world-famous masterpieces, Espanan artists tend to find new forms and new ways of expression. Freedom of expression in art is guaranteed by State and the Church unless direct blasphemy or insult of the state is involved, but even in those conditions executions are rare.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure of Espana is Omni channel interconnection of all cities, composing net of infrastructure. High speed trains are major transportation mean with railroad network covering every city or town with population above 50.000. Government supports usage of flying transport in rural areas, while cities are based on public transportation and private cars. Bicycles and similar means of transport are illegal for usage outside of special areas.

Energy
Energy system of Espana Francista combines two main parts – traditional fuel based systems and Faith.
Traditional fuels are obtained in Naftogas and from imports. Their share is declining with new Faith energy machines constant improvement, although rural areas will rely on them for long.
Faith is produced by these, who believe and those, who are sacrificed. Special devices are absorbing such energy, which is transited in subspace on any distance in a matter of moments. Those devices are not able to accumulate large amounts of energy without exponential growth of size. Thus makes Faith applications limited to large ships, large factories and other big machinery, where usage of space is justified. Scientists are constantly working on improvement of existing devices and there are hopes that one day Faith will be only fuel Espana needs.
