In response to the Ministry of Health’s call for international aid, we are mobilizing an aid package that includes the following:

➣ 150,000 dosages of the Dengusiil dengue vaccine by the Serum Insitute of India

➣ 1 million rapid diagnostic test kits for dengue.

Government delegation arrives in Brazilia for month long knowledge exchange tour
The delegation will consider Brazilian methods of poverty reduction, slum clearance, policing and wildlife protection.

Appropriate politicians, senior officials, and academics will travel to Flourishing Southlands for a month long knowledge exchange tour discussing key domestic issues:

Housing and Slum Clearance
Recent housing actions from Brazil will be toured and police will demonstrate control measures for high crime informal settlements.

About 1,700,000 of the 22,000,000 million households in the country are 'informal'; aka slums. A further 800,000 are 'traditional' i.e. those of Bushmen or tribal communities, down from 2,200,000 in the 1990s. A large source of housing pressure is coming from immigration which the UZA is now actively trying to reduce, but household size is falling and the fertility rate is still above replacement at an average of 2.6 across the UZA. The provision of formal housing and the dissolution of informal housing areas has been a key policy of the UZA government since the 1970s.

Wildlife and Habitat protection
Although not endowed with the forest cover of Brazil, both nations have a responsibility to protect their exceptional habitats for humanity and the wider world, the UZA delegation will be looking at efforts to protect against logging and illegal gold mining and efforts to reduce car CO2 emissions to zero.

A key focus will be on renewable energy and storage.

Welfare and poverty reduction
Brazil's innovative Trabalho Para Todos (TPT; Work for All) and Bolsa Família (BF) work and welfare programmes will be studied in detail, with civil servants and academics exchanging knowledge and learning, including touring affected families and considering the benefits.

Governance
Members of the Zuid Afrikan States Council will meet with members of the Brazilian Restoration and Salvation Council, similar bodies, to share thoughts on governance and corruption reduction at several points over the month and Ministers and officials will meet their counterparts.

The tour will culminate in a day of 'South Atlantic Celebration' with senior politicians and civil society in Brasilia.

The UZA will pay for most accommodations and contribute to travel and security arrangements and offers a reverse tour for a Brazilian delegation.

Cyprus remains divided, there is an ongoing dispute between the Greek and Turkish Cypriot ethnic groups which dominate the island of Cyprus. Since the Ottoman invasion in 1974, a puppet state for the Turkish Cypriot community was created in the north end of the island, where troops of the Ottoman Empire are currently deployed to support the Ottomans illegal occupation of the island of Cyprus. The large Greek Cypriot population stem from its strong ethnic Greek nationalist ideology and Greek Heritage.

However, the current international complications of the territorial dispute stretch beyond the boundaries of the island itself, as discussions of the ongoing EEZ continue to go deadlock, with frequent expeditions by Ottoman warships crossing into perceived Greek Cypriot territorial waters which the Ottoman Empire claim are not the agreed EEZ boundaries and continue to not recognize its validity. As the search for oil in the Mediterranean come head to head, the Republic is searching for potential investors to help aid in the extraction and distribution of oil in the recent Aphrodite gas field that has been found.

The actions of the Ottoman Empire and the refusal to depart after the legitimate government has repeatedly demanded to withdraw Ottoman troops, has shown the world the true Ottoman ambitions. The Turkish Cypriot leadership would later declare independence under the protection of Ottoman troops, the Turkish community populated in Northern Cyprus should be considered a puppet state under effective Ottoman occupation, and legitimately belongs to The Republic of Greece and Cyprus. The Republic of Greece and Cyprus calls for members of the UAN to not recognize the Ottomans illegal and unlawful occupation of Northern Cyprus.

Ministry of External Affairs
GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

To: The Government of the Republic of Greece & Cyprus

In the spirit of fostering enduring ties and collaborative security efforts, we are reaching out with a proposition to enhance our bilateral relations through strategic defence and energy sector cooperation.

India is keen to deepen our defence partnership with the Republic of Greece and Cyprus. To this end, we propose the appointment of a Defence Attaché to your esteemed nation. This role will be pivotal in facilitating strategic communications, exploring joint defence initiatives, and reinforcing our mutual commitment to regional stability.

To this end, India also hopes to provide an aid package designed to address the strategic requirements of the Greek-Cypriot National Guard and to enhance the defensive posture of Cyprus. Its contents are as follows:

➣ 2,000 sets of PATKA helmets, offering essential head protection for ground forces.

➣ 5,000 sets of field gear including backpacks, boots, and uniforms.

➣ 4 units of Swathi Weapon Locating Radar for battlefield surveillance.

➣ 2 Fast Interceptor Craft for coastal patrol duties.

➣ 6,000 INSAS Assault Rifles with ammunition

➣ 8 units of 105mm Indian Field Guns, providing reliable artillery support.

➣ 10 Vijayanta Tanks, which have been a mainstay of the Indian Armoured Corps and can serve as an interim armoured capability for Cyprus.

    ➣ 5 units of ZU-23-2 twin-barreled anti-aircraft autocannons, suitable for low-altitude defence.

Following the delivery of the aid package, India proposes to engage in discussions for a defence deal that would include the supply of more advanced and modern equipment.

India also recognizes the strategic significance of the Aphrodite gas field and its potential to contribute to regional energy security. In this regard, we propose to dispatch expert teams from two of India’s leading oil and natural gas extraction companies, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), to discuss collaborative opportunities for exploration and extraction of oil and gas from the Aphrodite field.

The expertise and technological capabilities of ONGC and IOCL, combined with the potential of the Aphrodite field, could pave the way for a prosperous partnership that benefits both our nations and contributes to the diversification of energy sources in the region.

We anticipate that this cooperative endeavour will not only enhance Cyprus’s energy portfolio but also signify a milestone in achieving greater energy autonomy for the Greek-Cypriot nation against uncooperative regimes.

We look forward to your positive response.

Tragedy Strikes as Sary-Tash Siege Ends in Bloodshed

After a tense and protracted standoff lasting a week, the once-quiet hamlet of Sary-Tash in Osh Province has been engulfed in tragedy. The dramatic conclusion unfolded early this morning as Central Asian police, who had surrounded the residence of disgraced former Commander Tynychbek Abdraimov, were met with the unmistakable sound of gunfire.

Commander Abdraimov, a figure recently thrust into infamy after being identified as the leader of a group of defecting Blue Wolves agents responsible for a heinous terrorist attack, reportedly descended into a fit of despair. According to eyewitness accounts, Abdraimov, facing mounting pressure from law enforcement, resorted to a ghastly act of violence within the confines of his own home.

A glimmer of hope emerged as authorities managed to extract Abdraimov's youngest daughter from the grim tableau. Despite the desperate attempts of emergency responders, the toll of the violence could not be fully averted. Abdraimov himself, gravely wounded and teetering on the brink of death, was rushed to Bol'nitsa Hospital in Osh for urgent medical attention.

As the dust settles over the shattered remnants of Sary-Tash, the sombre reality of the events that transpired casts a long shadow over the community. Questions linger about the underlying causes of the violent outburst and the toll it has exacted on those left behind.

In the wake of this tragic chapter, Osh Region Chief of Police, Jenishbek Jorobekov, offered condolences to those affected by the ordeal. "Today, we mourn the loss of innocent lives and bear witness to the devastating consequences of unchecked violence," stated Jorobekov. "Our hearts go out to the victims and their families as they navigate this unimaginable grief."

    KYIV POST

KYIV OBLAST POLICE FOIL ALLEGED COUP PLOT, AT LEAST 19 ARRESTED

The recent plot is just one in a string of recent plans to overthrow the government in Kyiv.

    [ KYIV • 12 APRIL 2024 ]

[ KYIV POST ] - Earlier today, Kyiv Oblast police force announced that at least 19 people were arrested after police forces raided several houses in Kyiv, Brovary, and Vyshhorod. This came after very concerning evidence and several online communications discussing plans to overthrow the government were leaked, prompting the Ukrainian government to launch an investigation into these claims.

Around 3,000 police were reportedly involved in the search operations, with nearly 100 locations across Kyiv Oblast searched by police forces. The individuals involved included former military and police personnel, and even a former commander within the Ukrainian Air Force.

Motives for the plot are unclear, however many of the individuals involved in the plan are well-known far-right dissidents within the community. Therefore, motives could stem from issues such as unhappiness with the government's inactivity regarding several regional issues, including the continued Russian occupation of Crimea and the ongoing insurgency in the Donbass.

According to communications within the chat, the coup was due to take place on the night of 14 April, just two days from now. There has also been confusion amongst the Ukrainian population, due to the amount of time it took to discover the coup plot and arrest those involved. According to some investigators, the plot had been being discussed for nearly a month, with final preparations in place as the coup was only supposed to happen two days from now. Kyiv Oblast police also announced that the individuals arrested already even had up to two dozen firearms, as a number of arms were confiscated following the raids.

In recent years, Ukraine has been a victim to coup plots, as a number of different groups seek to overthrow the current government, which many claim is seeing a sharp divide between different branches. In 2021, a serious coup plot was outlined by the Ukrainian government, which detailed plans to overthrow the Kyiv government in December of that same year, with alleged involvement from Russia despite denial of the allegations.

In 2022, there were also allegations of several coup plots by pro-Russian groups during winter of that year. Of course, all of these plots were either foiled or proven to be false, however the government has been on high alert. According to President Danylo Kosenko, recent times in Ukraine have proven to be difficult, due to conspiracies against the democratically elected government.

There has no doubt been anger at the current government, as many have called for the resignation of Prime Minister Oleksandr Levchuk and the rest of the Cabinet of Ministers in response to the rising prices of basic goods, several defeats in the ongoing Donbass conflict, and a scandal in 2023 involving millions of dollars, in which none of the officials involved resigned from their posts.

Alongside this, a feud between the government and the military went public after Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Vadym Chernenko expressed his disapproval with the current Ukrainian government on social media, with several other commanders within the military liking his social media post.

Office of the President of the Central Asian Union
11th of April 2024 – 2024 yil 11 aprel

Dear Citizens of Central Asia,

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I address you today, following the catastrophic conclusion to the Sary-Tash Siege. This tragic event has sent shockwaves rippling through our nation, further compounded by the ongoing turmoil in neighbouring Tajikistan.

The events that unfolded in Sary-Tash have deeply rocked our nation to its core. The loss of innocent lives is a wound that cuts deep into the fabric of our society. While we mourn the irreplaceable souls taken from us far too soon, there is a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness. I am relieved to inform you that Abdraimov's 12-year-old daughter, Baktygul, is expected to make a full recovery. However, Abdraimov himself remains in critical condition at Bol'nitsa Hospital. Our dedicated medical teams are working tirelessly around the clock, sparing no effort to keep him alive so that he may face justice for his cowardly and despicable actions.

In the face of such tragedy, it is imperative that we come together as a nation to support one another and honour the memory of those we have lost. To commemorate the victims and pay tribute to their lives, a solemn decision has been made to erect a statue in their honour in Osh City. This statue will serve as a lasting reminder of the profound impact of this senseless act of violence on our community.

Furthermore, in solidarity with the victims and their grieving families, all Central Asian government offices will once again lower their flags to half-mast. This gesture symbolizes our collective mourning and unwavering commitment to honouring the memory of those we have lost.

This sorrowful event comes just a month after we raised our flags to full mast following the heinous attacks perpetrated by Tajik and Islamist terrorists in various public places. As we navigate through these turbulent times, we must remain steadfast in our resolve to uphold peace, stability, and justice in our beloved nation.

In light of the recent events surrounding the catastrophic conclusion to the Siege, it is with a heavy but hopeful heart that I must also address another matter of great significance. I am pleased to announce the recent decision regarding the Treaty of Brotherly Union, which marks a pivotal moment in the history of our region. This treaty, forged through collaboration and mutual understanding, symbolizes a true show of unity between the Kazakh people and their Central Asian brethren. It stands as a testament to our collective resolve to overcome challenges and build a brighter future together. As we mourn the victims of senseless violence, let us also embrace the spirit of brotherhood embodied by this historic agreement, paving the way for a more prosperous and harmonious future for all.

Let us stand united in the face of adversity, drawing strength from one another as we strive to overcome these challenges and emerge stronger than ever before.

With deepest condolences and unwavering resolve,

His Excellency Khudabayerdi Ghaniyev
President of the Central Asian Union, Head of the Central Asian Defence Forces, Co-President of the Brotherly Union, Chairman of the Blue Wolves Organisation, Father of Central Asia

(Radio) - Negative, not at this time, status updates will be provided once available.

- Adonis Drakos looked over to he's fellow comrades to see excitement and concern, as the time passed the crowd grew larger and larger, not allowing himself to engage but stay concentrated to the north where Ottoman soldiers were visually apparent. - As the streets flood with thousands of protesters, tensions continues to erode away to dangerous levels of aggression. The crowd inches closer and closer to the checkpoint line, Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos men desperately trying to control the chaos, place themselves between the crowd and Ottoman soldiers guarding the entrance, soon fights breakout among protesters.

The scene is of utter madness, protesters throwing rocks while fighting among themselves, soldiers on both sides of the line screaming wildy guns pointed with looks of anger, frustration, confusion, and terror gripping all around. As the Sergeant attempts to coordinate with his men and law enforcement to start breaking up the crowd facing away from the checkpoint, a group of protesters swarms his men getting through and approaching the checkpoint line...

Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos - We must get a handle of the situation before enforcements arrive, radios are out! Communicate with your commanders...

Soldier 1 - Sir! a dozen people got by, going for the checkpoint...

Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos - What?!? Get them back they must not be able to cross! It's too dangerous...

The dozen protesters approach the line with wild confusion holding signs yelling at the Ottoman soldiers, with guns drawn they demand the protesters back away or they will be fired on, but the message goes to deaf ears with anger and determination they press forward every closer. One of Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos men ordered to bring back the protesters approaches from behind, running towards them yelling for them to get back in a ferrous bark, not yielding they continue...

Ottoman soldier 1 - Stop! Or we will shoot! Stop do not come any further! Or we will open fire!

Soldier 1 - Turn around slowly! step back and continue towards me! (if I must I need to point my weapon up towards the sky and fire a warning shot if they continue) come bac... (bang)(bang)... (bang)

Shots rings out, it is unclear if it came from Ottoman soldiers, Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos men or a protester among the crowd, but for a long quiet second passes before shear shock and terror runs through the protesters, running frantically in ever which way screams of terror and confusion are that could be heard, each individual desperately trying to escape preserving ones self.

Continuous gun fire rained from both sides seemed wild, with no clear target, sporadically shooting whatever they eye could see, Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos men, firing at Ottoman positions and Ottoman soldiers firing back, law enforcement being overwhelmed, attempted to rescue and force civilians back away from the gunfire, with both sides using tear gas and batons to get civilians back and to disperse.

Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos for a moment was petrified and wildy confused at what just transpired, as further gun fire erupted it snapped him back into action, as he looked towards the checkpoint he could see one of his men down laying on the road motionless, while the other dozen or so protesters that broke away, are laying on the ground in fear and in pain. His men began returning fire as incoming rounds bounced around, the Sergeant jumping to a near by wall only one thought came across his mind...

Sergeant(Sgt), Adonis Drakos - What madness... what madness has happened to all of us!

Caracas lures migrants to southern border with instructions to cross into Brazil

Brazilian authorities have accused Caracas of hybrid warfare by inciting masses of refugees to swarm and destabilise its northern border.

"The Caracas regime is directing thousands of its own people to mob border authorities and officials despite its own border closure," said Brazilian Minister of Human Capital Sônia Bastos Nazário. "Most of these are sick, disabled, with children, or impoverished. This is nothing more than a concerted effort to unduly and irresponsibly divert resources from Brazil's healthcare system and foster resentment among our communities."

Brasília is hastily erecting razor wire fences along its border with Venezuela to stem the flow of people, though an estimated 2,000 were able to stream through the gaps before then. It has also asked its allies in the Global Security Association 2 (GSA) to prevent Venezuelan nationals from entering Brazil through open borders area.

The human surge is no coincidence, according to Itamaraty, which has furnished photographs of Venezuelan officials handing to escaping families e-bikes, wheeled suitcases, maps, and compasses. Scraps of footage found online show the officials instructing refugees how they may use human wave tactics to break through roadblocks or topple barriers, and how they should discard all their documents to maximize confusion.

Some were even given weapons and told to batter border guards to increase the chances of entry. The subsequent attack of a policeman by one such individual in Pacaraima caused a scuffle in which tear gas was fired and 4 arrested.

Brasília has yet to close its border fully, citing its obligation to take in refugees under the principle of non-refoulement.

"This is absolutely heinous," wrote Brazilian President Franco dos Santos. "Venezuela's abuses of international custom and Brazil's generosity will not go unnoticed."

He later unveilled a traffic light system to categorize migrants, with 'greens' to be permitted entry, 'yellows' to be placed in camps, and 'reds' to be turned away.

Single individuals aged 18 to 40 are classed in 'green', while families and the sick are classed in 'yellow'. 'Reds' include everyone else.

The system comes into effect tomorrow.

Caracas has denied the Brazilian accusations. It claims that President dos Santos' traffic light system is a system of "institutionalised, systematic apartheid" designed to discriminate against bona fide travellers.

Ministry of Defense

The United Kingdom has announced the deployment of an additional 500 soldiers to its Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus as part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining peace and stability on the island. This increase in military personnel is aimed at enhancing the capabilities of British forces already stationed there, ensuring they can more effectively contribute to security operations and peacekeeping efforts.

The Ministry of Defence has clarified that these troops will support existing operations designed to safeguard the interests of both the local Cypriot population and the broader geopolitical stability of the Eastern Mediterranean region. This deployment reflects the UK's dedication to fulfilling its international obligations and its role as a key player in regional security.

Additionally, the Ministry has outlined provisions for potentially deploying an extra 500 soldiers if the situation warrants further reinforcement. This contingent would be mobilized to augment the British military presence on the island, providing additional support and increasing readiness in response to any escalations in regional tensions.

The decision to deploy these troops follows extensive consultations with international allies and the government of Cyprus, ensuring that the move aligns with broader strategic objectives and respects the sovereignty of Cyprus. The UK's forces in Cyprus are highly trained in a range of military and peacekeeping operations, equipped to handle various challenges that may arise.

The first batch of 500 soldiers is expected to arrive in Cyprus within the next few weeks, joining the robust infrastructure and support systems already in place at the UK bases. This deployment not only reaffirms the UK’s commitment to its historical ties with Cyprus but also underscores its proactive approach to upholding peace and security in strategically important regions.

This reinforcement strategy, including the option for additional troops, demonstrates the UK's readiness to adapt to changing circumstances and its commitment to playing a central role in promoting long-term stability in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean.

BAE Systems and Babcock International Assist Development of Baltic AShM Program

On Monday, Verpėja Missile Systems (VMS) announced significant advancements in their Ahti anti-ship missile program(AShM). This comes after The United British Kingdom defense companies BAE Systems and Babcock International announced their financial and technical assistance on the previously homegrown Ahti missile program. Renewed interest in the program, alongside the combination of assets, has resulted in VMS gripping back onto its initial target of initial operational capability (IOC) as soon as this year.

Ahti will make its debut within the Kalevala family of Baltic Confederation missile systems and will be a precision munition designed for surface and land targets. Now with BAE and Babcock's assistance, the establishment of Ahti’s IOC will be a major deterrent within the arsenal of the Baltic Confederation. The missile contains a heavy 150 kg class warhead and active radar-seeking technologies, with special attention dedicated to target identification. This is believed to be a certain technological focus point for Ahti’s development, given the high commercial traffic on the Baltic Sea. Although the warhead is weaker than some of the older generations within the Kalevala family, it will prove ideal for mobile launch sites and anti-ship strikes. Ahti will be a first in the transition by VMS to make systems with the terrain of the Baltics in mind.

Having assistance on Ahti has continued recent developments to use Baltic resources to establish a chain of defense. Recent investments in surveillance, sea mines, and targeting capabilities all place the Baltic Confederation to meet the defense needs of the small country while remaining within budget. Historically, the Baltic Confederation’s Navy has been small and the future will likely be no different. However, innovations in defense and missile technologies may halt the advance of any hostile force in conflict and deter flashpoints in peacetime.

The revival of sea defense is important to the core of the country as many of the cultures of the Baltic Confederation can be traced to their knowledge of the Baltic Sea. The tight corridor has been a vital defense point for the Baltic Confederation and the world. The small sea is crowded with many navies and is essential in certain seasons given the sections that freeze during winter months. Our Curonian tribes, for example, were feared for their ability to manipulate the Baltic Sea to such an extent that Danish and Swedish Vikings feared our Baltic ancestors.

Therefore, Ahti by VMS represents fresh interest by the Baltic Confederation to revive its connection with the sea and its defense. Having British defense companies aid, with their own experiences of owning the sea, will prove valuable to Ahti. These partners can help move BK towards further security and keep the peace along our quiet shores.

Here at EDN, we try and provide our readers with honest coverage of our country's place in the world and stories of the people from it.

Air of Unease

Ottoman POV

The protest had started peacefully, with a group of Greek Cypriots marching through the streets, chanting slogans and holding up signs. But as the crowd grew larger and more agitated, things quickly spiraled out of control. The fact that Sultan Orhan II was visitng North Cyprus during that time made it even more serious.
The Ottoman armed forces guarding the checkpoints had been called in to maintain order, but they were quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of protesters. The air was thick with tension as the protesters began to push against the barricades, shouting insults and throwing objects at the soldiers.

"Get ready with the tear gas," Liuetenant Kemal Gedik shouted to his officers, his voice barely audible over the roar of the crowd. "We need to disperse them before things get even more out of hand."

As the tear gas canisters were fired into the crowd of Greek protesters, chaos erupted. People screamed and ran in all directions, their eyes watering and their throats burning. The soldiers moved in with batons, trying to push back the protesters and restore order.

"Stay together, keep moving forward!" another soldier yelled, trying to rally his team as they struggled to contain the rioting crowd. "We need to get control of this situation before it gets any worse."

Despite their best efforts, the protesters continued to resist, throwing rocks and bottles at the soldiers and refusing to back down. It was a tense standoff between those fighting for their cause and those tasked with enforcing the law.

After the Ottoman Security forces had exhausted all the possibilities, some of the soldiers started shooting up into the air trying to scare the protesters. Suddenly, someone shouted that the Greeks were shooting at the Ottoman positions. The soldiers had to respond.

As they stood amidst the wreckage of broken barricades and scattered debris, they knew that this would not be the last time they would have to face such a volatile situation. The goverment of Greece-Cyprus considers the rightful Turkish land as theirs.

Russia Strengthens Protection of Religious Symbols with New Law
    13 April 2024, Saturday

In a significant move to uphold religious tolerance and harmony, Russian lawmakers have recently enacted the "Protection of Religious Symbols" law. This legislation aims to criminalise the vandalisation of religious symbols, a step seen as crucial in preventing actions that could incite offense and fuel extremism.

The law comes as a response to growing concerns over incidents of religious symbol desecration on social media around the world, which have the potential to provoke widespread outrage and deepen divisions within society. With the rise of extremist ideologies, safeguarding religious symbols has become imperative for maintaining social cohesion and respect for diverse beliefs.

The signing of the law by Vozhd Nadezhda Zykina during her visit to Dagestan underscores the government's commitment to fostering religious harmony. Holding a copy of the Quran, Zykina, who is an atheist, emphasised the sanctity of religious texts, stating, "This is a holy book. It is sacred amongst Muslim Russians, and so it is sacred to me as well. The same can be said for the Christian Bible and other holy books held sacred by Russian people."

Zykina's words reflect a deep respect for religious diversity and the recognition of the importance of religious symbols in the lives of believers. By criminalising their desecration, the Russian government seeks to send a clear message that it stands against any actions that disrespect or undermine the beliefs of its citizens.

Under the new law, those found guilty of vandalising religious symbols face harsh penalties, including prison sentences, serving as a deterrent against such acts of intolerance. By imposing legal consequences for such behavior, the government aims to prevent the escalation of religious tensions and promote understanding and respect among different faith communities.

The Protection of Religious Symbols law represents a significant step forward in Russia's efforts to protect religious freedoms and uphold the principles of tolerance and coexistence. It reaffirms the country's commitment to fostering a society where individuals are free to practice their faith without fear of persecution or discrimination.

In a world where religious tensions often lead to violence and conflict, Russia's decision to strengthen protections for religious symbols serves as a beacon of hope for promoting peace and understanding. By safeguarding these symbols, the government seeks to preserve the rich tapestry of religious traditions that contribute to the nation's cultural heritage and identity.

As the law takes effect, it is hoped that it will not only deter acts of religious intolerance but also foster a climate of mutual respect and understanding among all citizens, regardless of their religious beliefs. In doing so, Russia takes a significant stride towards building a society where diversity is celebrated, and religious freedoms are cherished.

Government Responds to Sanctions

Upon reading the under cover exposé, governments from around the world have jumped on the boycott, divest and sanction (BDS) bandwagon. The -Empire of Japan- cut off all military exports to the nation as well as pulling back from counter piracy operations in the area, a move that has many in the Slavic Rhodesian government questioning Japan’s actual commitment to maritime peace and global security. Republica-Argentina levied a total embargo against the nation; however, the Slavicans and Argentinian economies aren’t well well entangled. In retaliation, the government has given notice to all Argentinians in the country that they have thirty days to leave of their own accord or they will be arrested and deported. Punitive measures were also taken by Iran-e and Infiny, the latter of which was seen as a friendly nation.

Despite this, The United British Kingdom and Union of Zuid Afrika stood by Slavic Rhodesia’s side. The latter nation, South Africa, sharing in some of the pain and suffering that Slavic Rhodesia has endured in the previous centuries. We here at The Commonwealth Column wish to extend a great thanks to our commonwealth brethren, according to the Prime Minister, Mrs. Józefa Śnieżka, they’ve hurried through a motion to the upper court regarding the issues that pertain to Zoroastrians. It’s suspected that within the next two weeks that the liberal Bench Elderman Mr. Korneliusz Duda will rule on the issue and make a public disposition with the four other justices. Elderman Duda remarking “this has been a state policy for more than twenty five years, this community has been made more desolate by the hand of the Slavican government and her people. Unfortunately, it’s taken that long for the grim realities of their living conditions to make international news and much public pressure to get the legislative body to do something about it.”

Court Ruling on Squalor in Port Pemba

After the lawsuit reached the Supreme Court, Bench Elder Mr. Korneliusz Duda strong armed one of his more conservative judges to support his cause. In a three to two decision, the court overturned decades of legalized apartheid against Zoroastrians in the nation. The policy in question, called the “Containment of Dangerous Beliefs Act,” was struck down as it had been almost solely applied to the Zoroastrian community within the country. Unsurprisingly, this community has suffered from the double whammy of a genocide and apartheid. Surviving members of the Zoroastrian community will immediately have their state benefits and rights reinstated with the government being forced to pay back benefits to said people. It’s suspected that now that the Zoroastrian community in the country has the freedom of movement and will be receiving a fair amount of government benefit back pay, that most of them will emigrate upon their own accord due to the nation’s hostile history with them. Elderman Duda said of the situation “despicable at best, (the situation) is of the upmost wickedness.”

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF IRAN

The Empire of Iran is genuinely pleased for the recent court ruling regarding the oppressed Zoroastrian community of Slavic Rhodesia. The repeal of the discriminatory “Containment of Dangerous Beliefs Act" is a positive first step to amending the wrongs done over the decades of apartheid.

Iran strives to protect and help the Zoroastrian community of the world - this effort by Slavic Rhodesia of genuine reconciliation with a minority is a significant first step not just for Slavican-Iranian relations, but for the improvement of the nation as a whole.

Further action must be done to permanently rid Slavic Rhodesia of apartheid, but this good first step will be reciprocated by Iran through the lift on the travel ban to Slavic Rhodesia and a lift on some embargoed products, with a full embargo lift to be done should further action can be done to help other people by the Slavican government.

Breaking News: Coalition Government Formed Following Weeks of Negotiation
خبر عاجل: تشكيل حكومة ائتلافية بعد أسابيع من المفاوضات

𝗖𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗢, 𝗘𝗚𝗬𝗣𝗧 ― In a political development that has reverberated across the nation, three major parties have defied expectations and forged a coalition government after a month of intense negotiations. The Social Democratic Union, the People’s Islamic Front, and the Party for Socialist Action have set aside ideological disparities in a bid to usher in a new era of governance.

The culmination of this coalition comes after weeks of painstaking talks, during which the Party for Socialist Action remained resolute in its insistence on substantial policy concessions. These concessions, deemed non-negotiable by the Party for Socialist Action, were ultimately achieved through rigorous bargaining and a spirit of compromise.

Chief among the Party for Socialist Action's demands was the commitment of the People's Islamic Front to gender equality and the protection of women's rights, including reproductive rights. This landmark agreement signifies a major shift in the nation's historically conservative landscape. In addition, the People's Islamic Front has pledged to support religious tolerance, a pivotal step towards fostering inclusivity and social cohesion, especially in the nation's south. By embracing diversity and respecting varying beliefs, the coalition aims to cultivate a more unified society.

Also prompted by the Party for Socialist Action, the Social Democratic Union has agreed to ramp up its support for workers and bolster social services. Acknowledging the urgent need to address socio-economic disparities, the Social Democratic Union has committed to implementing policies that prioritize the welfare and advancement of all citizens. This includes initiatives aimed at enhancing access to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.

As the new coalition assumes the reins of power, expectations are high. The ensuing months will serve as a litmus test for the effectiveness and unity of this unprecedented alliance. Despite initial skepticism and hurdles, the leaders of the Social Democratic Union, People's Islamic Front, and Party for Socialist Action have demonstrated a willingness to transcend differences and collaborate.

Press Statement from the Abdeen Palace
بيان صحفي من قصر عابدين

I commend the decision made by Supreme Court of Swowianska Rodezja to dismantle discriminatory policies. Apartheid, in all its forms, has no place in the modern world. It is a stain on the conscience of humanity and a barrier to progress and unity. The recognition of the inherent dignity and equal rights of all individuals, regardless of their religious beliefs, is a fundamental principle that must be upheld by all nations.

However, while we acknowledge this positive step forward, we must also acknowledge that discrimination in Swowianska Rodezja is far from eradicated. The overruling of state-sponsored apartheid is but one battle in a larger war against injustice and intolerance. Swowianska Rodezja, like many nations, still has much work to do to ensure that all its citizens are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.

As a staunch advocate for human rights and equality, Egypt stands ready to support Swowianska Rodezja in its efforts to combat discrimination in all its forms. We urge the government and people of Swowianska Rodezja to remain steadfast in their commitment to fostering a society where all individuals can thrive free from fear of persecution or prejudice. Let us remember that the fight against discrimination is not a sprint, but a marathon. It requires sustained effort, dedication, and a collective commitment to building a better world for future generations.
