But in seriousness, your budget is probably going to decide where you can live. The good thing with NYC is that $2.75 can basically get you anywhere in the city within an hour and a half (that's a max, not an average). So you could theoretically live anywhere with good public transportation access. If you've got a car (and can afford to use it in the city), that expands your options to the outskirts of the city such as Nassau and Westchester, which are much cheaper.

It very well could be if you choose to live in Manhattan. That's basically the minimum rent of every NYC sitcom apartment. But in fairness, if you're going to be living alone in a studio apartment, the average in a decent area would probably be closer to $1.2k a month. If you've got roommates, you could get that down to about $800-900.

Ooh, bear in mind that getting approved for an apartment by yourself is notoriously difficult on a budget. Most landlords want their tenants making annually between 30 and 50 times the monthly rent. So just because you think you can afford it doesn't mean you'll get it.

Thanks I appreciate, looking at the situation hindsight, something seemed off about the region from the beginning but I ignored it and carried on. The politics and regulations put forth in the region as well as turncoats is what ultimately killed it in my opinion.

Respectfully request citizenship and if possible to be appointed as a Spritual advisor (Mufti) to the region.
