The Congress of Luwuia is holding a referendum to change the government into a Constitutional Monarchy. Since 2050 a Political party that seeks to establish a Monarchy has been gaining traction slowly but quietly and it appears they have now made their move. If Congress passes this referendum the political structure of Luwuia would change and the President and Vice President would be replaced with a Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister respectively. The Constitutional Monarchy would guarantee the same rights as the current one. The referendum is expected to finish in a week.

According to the acts passed by the government, mainly the business neutrality acts of 2100, there are unrestricted sales and commerce of legal objects any power as long as the stated power is not in direct threat for Kavastor and that the nation is not a set problem towards further economic interests, this means that Icewindia is just as capable of benefiting if they place the orders. Kavastor also points out that as a power, they have declared official neutrality, meaning that their commerce is not part of their war.

With the political climate becoming more unstable and violent, the Republic begins some conscription, anyone from the age from 21 to 35 will have to enlist for training for up to 3 months. This includes anyone that is an official citizen, any ethnicity, any gender. Defcon 4 is issued from 5, extra readiness is being exercised. It is found out later that Esolda is quite pissed at the Shogunate for accidentally Broadcasting Local Propaganda on the International Channel. RP: Anti-Monopolization Initiative
Though the infrastructure created by the introduction of Kavastor's Banking Guilds have greatly benefited the revitalization of the Commonwealth's economy, concerns over the growing influence of Kavastor's trade network have led to several civilian movements to reduce the influence the foreign nation has on Schismian commercial goods, such as "Buying Schismian," and with smaller cities such as Peninsulatown refusing to buy products not cultivated locally. Furthermore, as the port city Basar continues to grow in population and receives more imports with each day, many in Parliament have come to the agreement that though initially beneficial, further encouragement of the Guilds will only lead to the Atomic Schism becoming reliant on a foreign power. As such, a bill by Chancellor Rhodes to limit Kavastorian authority was passed to seize certain assets established by the guilds, namely the farms, plantations, and mines.
RP: Military Expansion
However, using the capital left over from the economic boom, Chancellor Rhodes has passed an executive order to introduce new subsides to the Schismian Volunteer Paramilitary Army in an attempt to introduce modern advancements to the military's tanks, weapons, and aircrafts. Historically speaking, the Volunteer Army has infamously remained outdated in order to preserve important aspects of Schismian culture, including ineffective laser weapons, sabers for each soldier, and mass assault tactics in battles. Chancellor Rhodes has stated, "now more than ever should we prepare to defend ourselves as we prepare to rise globally."

The economic groups have protested this angrily and have demanded that the seizures of assets stop and they the groups be allowed to take part in commerce freely and that they be completely compensated for all lost profits both present and future. The groups have also threatened to completely embargo the nation, they will close all of the ports they own and completely shut down all assets positively for the nation. All ships carrying the much needed supplies for the nation will divert to other ports across the world to sell their goods there and all investments will be withdrawn. The following action have been taken:
-No ships aside from ones belonging to the groups may enter the docks and ports owned by them
-All power plants, factories, mines and so forth are to be shut down, all tools and technology are to be removed and returned to Kavastor, they will be placed under Commerce Guard, anytime attempting to enter will and can be shot, violent seizure of these will be treated similar to an act of war
-All agricultural assets are put under lockdown and guard same rules apply to this as were to the points already placed
-All native staff are to be laid off, all severance packages cut as there are no reasons to pay as it is unconditional
-All public assets (like roads and highways) are to be shut down, they are to be put under guard, trespassers will be shot
-All products are to be withdrawn, these cheap and reliable objects will no longer be accessible by natives and are taken to ports where they are withdrawn to other nations
-All loans the Banking Federations have given out will see interest increased by over 50% to both gov and private creditors
-All basic assets (water, electricity, ect) will be turned off until further notice, same conditions apply as earlier points
-All shipping currently being done in nation in halted, goods in transit are turned over to the offices and ports, same conditions as earlier apply
-All homes and such owned by the groups will see all native residents kicked out, same rules for trespassers apply
-All land and other assets owned by groups are not to be guarded, same conditions apply
-Pamphlets and leaflets are provided to all workers and dispatched in every place across the nation, especially to those hurt most by this explaining that the government must end its hostilities towards the groups if they are to return and the workers are to be reemployed
-A commercial blockade will be instituted of the nation by the recently established Trade Clan navy until all assets are withdrawn, any attempts to maneuver through this blockade will be treaded as a criminal act, smugglers will be either taken onboard or shot, any attempts to break such blockade by military means will ensue in the deployment of the Kavastori armed forces as an act of war, this will ensue in the blockade being reinforced by Kavastori troops and naval assets
The following demands:
-All areas be returned to the groups and restrictions of their activities economically must be returned if a state of any negotiations and commerce is to be allowed.
-All compensation must be provided for lost profits
-All groups must be allowed protected diplomatic status.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that a commerce guild would blockade, shut down power plants, water utilities, shut down roads and bridges.. Evict lawful residents from buildings in a foreign nation, ETC.... What kind of company/ commerce guild operates in this manner at all?
Furthermore this isn’t a paramilitary and even if it was it wouldn’t be allowed in this manner. You’re threatening to shoot trespassers in a nation that isn’t even yours. You cannot arm this merchant guild with weapons and say it is an act of aggression if 
The Atomic Schism tries to limit their power in their own land, they have full rights to do such.
There is a degree you can roleplay within someone else’s economy but what you have done here is basically try to usurp the entire atomic economy, which is ridiculous and godmodding.

With the new century upon us, Basaran entered a quiet phase as it turned to focus solely on internal matters. Over the past few years tensions rose within the nation which began to divide the nation between the church and state. Following another election in the year 2100, Kristoff Fraiser was replaced with yet another Remnants of Rome nominee, Oscar Winston. During the first 2 years of Winston's presidency, he pushed through several laws and executive orders to relieve the tension that the nation was experiencing and to much success, Pope Edmund Reztri has backed off and even apologized for some of his more disapproving commentary. Furthermore, the general population seemed to have calmed down in recent months as a result of the aforementioned softening of emotions.
With matters at home resolved, President Oscar made an announcement to the global community that the Basar government is fully functional and ready to rejoin the world stage. This announcement came after legislative elections replaced 1/3 of the congressional body whom, 1/2 of have since been investigated for treasonous acts against the state. Currently, only 15 of the 300 members who were voted out have been convicted of deliberate inciting of rebellion during the Church-State Schism Crisis. Publicly televised executions will begin next Friday.
Speaking of public deaths, a company whose specialty is in theatrical and medieval entertainment has recently been under fire after coming to congress to set up a Colosseum that would host old sports including chariot racing, athletic competitions and the historically favored, Gladiatorial Combat. Seeing as Gladiatorial combat often saw death in the days of old, the lack of commentary from the company's upper management about the subject has caused some concern among cautious parents. Debate is currently on-going in congress over the legality of gladiatorial combat and the effect it would have on society.

A referendum recently held in Luwuia has turned the country into a Constitutional Monarchy. The new Monarch is Emperor Yoshimi Koichi. The ruling Monarch holds a little more power than the Prime Minister and has Authority in all branches but is restricted by the constitution to prevent an Absolute Monarchy from forming. The current ruling Monarch can be removed if every at least 98% of Congress in all houses agree or if 90% of Citizens vote to remove the Monarch. The current President and Vice President have been given the positions of Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister respectively.
