The region New England is a very xenophobic and unfriendly region. Without any provocation, the delegate is likely to eject your nation "because he can". The region claims to be "a vacationer’s paradise" but, with the trigger happy delegate, how will anyone know. Best advice ... STAY AWAY FROM New England. And it would appear that most of NationStates is doing just that. With a population of only 13 nations, New England appears to be a sock drawer for one or two players' puppets. And those one or two players are NOT friendly.
Yes, I went there precisely because I wanted to be in the "vacationer's paradise," but wound up in the Rejected Realms. 
Maineiacs claimed he thought we were invaders, but I had sent him a TG stating we were NOT invaders and we were NOT WA nations. A nation as old as his should have known that nations need WA status to invade. Oh, well, it's their loss, because we are such a fun-loving, witty bunch, and we inject new life into many regions.
This is a nice place to heal my psyche from such ill-treatment.
They should have know that with a founder theres not much chance of invasion unless he's absent .
The Delegate and the Founder BOTH should have known. And that is why I label New England "a very xenophobic and unfriendly region."
If I were founder of that region, I would ask the delegate to openly apologize to the mistreated guests and invite them back OR step down as an incompetent delegate OR face ejection for being stupid.

I like the justice that TAO metes out. Their delegate is as stupid as all those founders who banned me for flying their airspace.
Also, Maineiacs did not get my TG--it was sent to the founder. From now on I'll have to send a TG to both, if the delegate has administrative powers.
Update from TAO concerning New England:
The delegate Maineiacs has admitted mistakes were made in the summary banning of two Travellers without provocation and both 
Migrating Geese and Tao the wanderer have been unbanned to demonstrate a more open and friendly attitude from New England. It is hoped that Wanderers in the future will be welcomed in New England.
Travel ban to New England has been lifted.

Not a problem. The way the founder was "leading", the region was doomed to failure from the moment he returned. It is obvious he never cared about the region. But then again, neither did most of the puppet residents. The really sad thing is that the region was one sleeping nation away from a refound and I didn't have enough influence to relocate him. Oh well ... that has always been part of the difficulty with transitioning region. I would rather err in favor of innocent nations than accomplish the goal at any cost.
It's just a shame as I think it had potential. And I agree, that is the sad thing, that it could have been put in the hands of a competent founder.
Stargate is a good place. I have a nation there.
And maybe someday soon I will really activate this place. There are scores of Deadwoods out there being used and abused in the R-D game and those regions deserve a founder with an active community or an honorable fade to CTE.
Also, Supreme system lord ra has invited all dispossessed GSL nations to come to The House of Ra. Being another Stargate-themed region, it would make sense.
