Socialism definitely takes a long time to pay off in terms of the economy. I'm at a good spot now but for a long time I very much wasn't.

I started with capitalism and then switched to socialism. My economy has been slowly rising but it has been above 95 for months.

I noticed that I am now third in the region for the most beautiful environment when not counting Karen Matheson as they are an alt. I said back in May I expected to get there pretty soon and I did!
