  Edocans seeking to become ambassadors to another region must be members of the Discord, for many regions are Discord-based and as such remains the most convenient way for us to connect with other regions.

  The Secretary has the free will to create and remove leadership positions in the Secretariat as needed to carry out the department's duties.

  For Diplomats

  
  Diplomats are to join our Discord and state their region of origin to be noted as their region's diplomat to Edoca. Ambassadors may use our regional RMB to share communications from their region's government.

  For Regions

  
  Embassy Policy:

  1. Show signs of life.
     This is generally determined through RMB or Discord activity.

  2. Be moderately established.
     This is determined through endorsements on delegate, regional government, and/or nations active in region.

  3. Not be a region solely dedicated to R/D gameplay.

  4. Not display or endorse problematic stances.
     This includes (but is not limited to): Hateful ideologies (Primarily fascism), racism/xenophobia, discrimination against LGBTQ individuals or groups, discrimination based off religious beliefs, and generally being bigoted. This also includes having embassies/relations with problematic regions.

  5. Not otherwise be OOC questionable, as determined by the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs.

  Exceptions to 1. and 2. may be made at the discretion of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs or President, or also if the region provides cultural or entertainment activities in Edoca that deem it beneficial to the region.

  Steps to apply for embassies:

  1. Send an application to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs (West Waldorff) or the President (Anakona). An example form is below:

  2. Await approval or denial. If approved, embassies will be built. If denied, the reasons will be explained, along with whether or not they can be remedied.

  Tasked with moderating and directing/progressing the roleplay, hosting mock sport events, and getting new people to join in.

  • Direct the roleplay and ensure people aren't getting offtrack

  • Host mock sport events (Sports edoca)

  • Maintain engagement and recruit new roleplayers

  Tasked with reviewing proposals and resolutions, writing Edocan legislation for the WA, and promoting WA engagement regionally.

  • Write recommendations for current proposals at vote

  • Collaborate together to propose resolutions for the WA

  • Promote WA membership, endorsing the delegate and being more interested in the WA

You can pick and choose what you want to do in a Secretariat; You don't need to participate in every single function of one, nor feel like you have to hand over an obscene amount to time to be active in the Directory.
How do I become a member of the Directory?
NOTE: Members of Congress may participate in the Directory in every area except the Cabinet; They will then have to pick between their membership in Congress or vying for high Directorial office.

• Being a general member of the Directory is easy; apply to join the Secretariat you are interested in. You may be a member of multiple Secretariats.

• Vying to become the President is done through regional vote; vying to become a Secretary is done through nomination and confirmation by Congress.
