The Axixican Heritage Nations

Thousands of years ago tribes of people from the Northlands migrated to the continent of Olympus. Some of these peoples became the Axixicans (also known as Axixitecos), some became the Brandishlanders, some the Olympians.


As time progressed three great kingdoms/empires came into being: the Axixican Empire, the Great Kingdom of East Olympia, and the United Kingdom of Brandish. These kingdoms ruled the world for thousands of years, golden years of prosperity, invention, art, science, and relative peace. But all good things seem to end. Over time each empire fell, Brandish first, East Olympia second, and finally Axixic in what was thought to be “the Last Demon Lord War”. The Axixican Emperor Thadeus Moultron led his soldiers to battle near Lake Pernia in the Land of Blimba and crushed them, destroying the Demon Lords, all of their minions. But at the cost of Thadeus’s life as well as 90% of his men. So great was the toll of that “Last War” that the Empire could not stand and fell. So devastating was this that the Fall of Axixic became the singular event from which years were numbered. Before the Fall BFA, after the Fall AFA.

So the Empire was no more and the nation-state of Axixic no longer existed - at least not in this world. All people who were present within the boundaries of Axixic NationState when Thadeus died simply disappeared. This astounded everyone of course. Wise-men and prophets had no explanation. But eventually the legend began that the people of Axixic were transported to a mythical region known as ”Lazark” (aka Lazarus) and would return someday to refound the Empire

40 other nations of the fallen Empire still stood - these became known as the Axixican Heritage nations. Impoverished and broken-down as they were, they founded orders of Caretaker Monks and Guardian Warriors to protect the lands of the former state of Axixic until the prophesized return. In effect, the Grand Land of Axixic became a multinational biological and cultural reserve. Great Universities were founded in the empty cities as were centers of art, literature, bioscience, medical research, and technology. But these enterprises were tightly controlled by the Caretakers/Guardians and populations were limited.

A brief note of clarification: Axixicans and Axixitecos in the early years referred to descendants of the original tribes of Axixic. In today’s more cosmopolitan societies, the terms refer to citizens/residents of the nation of Axixic and the Heritage nations.

During the more than 2,000 years since the Fall of Axixic, the Heritage Nations existed in a variety of regions, alliances, unions etc. Their numbers diminished to the present 28.

In August of 2023, the political composition of the world was one of two regions each inhabited by 14 of the original Heritage states. These regions are Axixican Basura and Axixican Confederation.
The world also contains over143 non-heritage states mostly associated with the region of UnTli.
