On almost leaving for a year in August 2020

It's been a great 6 months since I rejoined NationStates. I managed to turn around everything about my nation, get myself to become mighty and powerful once more, and even participated in my first ever RP. However, for the last month, there has been increasing pressure and stress over things in the real world. My free time is now increasingly being minimized due to greater responsibilities being put on me in the real world. As such, I will once again disappear, perhaps for a year, until I am able to free myself from these responsibilities. In addition, I feel like my actions on this website have been increasingly less meaningful and more "hot takes," which has resulted in my nation becoming less fun to play. I'll still answer issues so I don't CTE, I might even endorse new players every weekend or so, but I won't do anything else as I will have little, if any, time. So I say goodbye, Europe. See you on the other side.

...except, I didn't. As I returned only 12 days after disappearing. So what happened? Well, the disappearance of Silumi. Silumi had been an important nation to Sicily, having been one of the first people to join the alliance. However, I myself actually respected Silumi quite a bit, and was genuinely saddened by their departure (which I was only notified of 5 days after they disappeared). Therefore, I commissioned a factbook to them, and, in honor of their impact and just being a good person on this website, I decided to return once more. Now, I'm back, and likely will remain for a long time.
