Frigolia-Pskov Alliance

The Frigolia-Pskov Alliance is a declaration of mutual friendship and defense between
The Velikoye Knyazhestvo of Novgorod-Pskov and Edan land,
signed by the Prime Minister of Edan Land and the Knyaz of Novgorod-Pskov.
Although chiefly defensive in nature, it also promotes strengthened economic and cultural ties between the two nations.

Article 1: Mutual Defense
(i) Should either signatory be attacked by any third party, then the other signatory shall declare war on the aggressor, even if this breaks other valid treaties.
(ii) Should either signatory be subject to the aggressions of a third party, but not to the point of war, the other signatory is obliged to take action to secure the stability and
sovereignty of their ally in the Frigolia-Pskov Alliance.
(iii) Should the sovereignty of either signatory be impinged upon or threatened in any way not detailed above, the other signatory is obliged to take action to secure their ally through the Frigolia-Pskov Alliance's stability and
sovereignty.

Article 2: Economic Ties
This Article reaffirms certain relevant terms laid out in the European Free Trade Alliance:
(i) Both signatories agree to have VAT be 10% or under on goods imported from members to prevent expensive deals for the consumer.
(i) Both signatories agree to not have tariffs within the alliance.
(ii) All workers inside signatory nations will have to show ID, inform work type, work period and any addresses the group/individuals will be located at when wanting to work in a member nation.
(iii) Fake ID will result in deportation and punished according to the law in their home country. If the group/individuals show up later than stated, an investigation will occur, if any illegal work can be proven,
the group/individuals will be punished in the nation they worked in according to said nation's laws. If no illegal work can be proven, then the groups/individuals will be fined.
(iv) Qualifications issued by signatories will only be recognized with an exam, in the nation, they wish to work in.

Article 3: Cultural Ties
(i) The day of March 3rd will be made a public holiday in both nations, in honour of the date of Novgorodian Independence
(ii) The day of May 16th will be made a public holiday in both nations, in honour of the date of Edan Land becoming a constitutional monarchy.
(iii) The Frigolia-Pskov Games will take place for three weeks, beginning on the 19th of April, every three years, with the host nation alternating between the two signatories.
(iv) Both signatories will make the history of the other signatory an option for study in all of their national universities.
(v) The Royal Families of both signatories must make a week-long state visit to the other signatory's nation.

Renewal and Changes of the Alliance
(i) This alliance must be renewed every five years, or will be made void.
(ii) Any changes to this alliance must be agreed upon by both the Veche of Novgorod-Pskov, and the Parliament of Edan Land.
(iii) The defensive nature of the alliance means that, should either signatory declare war on a third party, the other signatory may not be expected to provide aid and support.
