The Sultanian Menace of Sultan is a huge, efficient nation, notable for its zero percent divorce rate, ubiquitous missile silos, and free-roaming dinosaurs. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 567 million Sultanians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small government is dominated by the Department of Defense, although Education, Social Policy, and Industry are also considered important, while International Aid and Spirituality aren't funded at all. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.5%.

The powerhouse Sultanian economy, worth 47.7 trillion Rupees a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Gambling, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Average income is 84,108 Rupees, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 265,417 per year while the poor average 20,364, a ratio of 13.0 to 1.

New government leaflets tell coeliac children to eat more crisps, the government tries not to listen to the people unless it absolutely has to, hypochondriacs demand treatment for genetic disorders they don't have, and 'Sultan Eaglenado 6: You Gotta Be Kidding Me' is this summer's top-grossing movie. Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low. Sultan's national animal is the Sultan Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

Sultan is ranked 42,606th in the world and 968th in the South Pacific for Highest Wealthy Incomes, with 265,418 Standard Monetary Units.
