Norrland Chancellery Elections - July 2017 | Candidates

I have been in Norrland since I first began Nation States about 4 months ago. I have brought friends into the region, and I was around at just the right times to see the rise, fall, and rise again of Norrland, what with all the turmoil over resignations. I may not have taken part in every single event, but I now know what can cause a region to break down, and how to prevent it in the future. I will make sure Norrland doesn’t experience these problems during my term.

Why Norrland should vote for me
There are many here in Norrland who agree , we need more overall representation in Norrland, for all Norrlanders. I will support the best of every proposal or idea, regardless of ideology. Norrland’s politics should be about progress and efficiency, not partisan ideological wars. Our region’s power will grow stronger in both Norrland and abroad, if we all work together to make Norrland a better place, and a more powerful region too.

Norrland’s Future

As Chancellor, I will work to make sure our region plays a major role in nation states as a whole, and get Norrland out there overall. I want our region to be an important part of worldwide nation states diplomacy, and to have strong alliances with other influential regions. Norrland should be a place where citizens and non-citizens alike can discuss, joke, and have a good time overall. Allowing citizenship to be obtained more easily without allowing in raiders or malicious people will also be a priority. Essentially, a strong Norrland with a large power base and even larger player base, that is my vision.

I have been in Norrland for most of my time on Nation States. I have come to befriend many people in this region and I have witnessed many of the big and/or important events that have happened in the region. To me, the region is a warm and friendly place, a place where all people can come to. Along with these, I have also run a region with over thirty nations inside. Many would say, "Well, most of the region were puppets of Norrland". This doesn't change the fact that I have held the responsibility and high authority of a region before and I didn't destroy the region in the process. In said region, I successfully ran an election, appointed government officials and dealt with trolls and/or raids. I have seen the region die, which saddens me. However, I overcame the fact that my own creation is gone and I still stand to this day.

Future Ideas

During my time as Chancellor, I would like to rework the constitution into something smaller, while keeping the interests of the current constitution at heart. I will try to continue keeping the neutrality of Norrland, as well as keeping our large diplomatic relations in touch. I will try my best to keep the warmth, the friendliness and the welcoming sense I feel whenever I log onto the discord or look at the region. I want to keep the discord moderated while keeping it unrestricted. As well as that, I want to place less restrictions on Citizens and Non-Citizens in the region as a whole.

Why Should People Vote For You

I love this region with a passion. I truly care for it and I want the best for it. I wouldn't want it to turn into a cancerous hellhole, but I don't want it to turn into a serious, joke-less wasteland. I believe I am qualified for the job, with my experience in running regions and I think my policies will fit well with the people, the government and our diplomatic relations.

Well there are quite a few reason, the first and biggest being I was the Deputy Chancellor of Norrland for almost a full term, had it not been for this little snap election here.

Other big reasons are that I've served as local minister, and ambassador to other regions, showing I can both make deals, cooperate, and work to better Norrland in for all those seeking a fun experience.

What about promises if elected?

I hate making grandiose promises because in reality, some make not get met within my term, however I will try my absolute hardest to accomplish any goals I set our from the start.

1.) Revamp our recruiting system; it's been dying for the past couple years and needs a fix, so that will be our number one priority

2.) Make the RP fun again; I'm going go assure that the local minister makes wars enticing, but also fair, we will use a roll system to help understand if an attack succeeds or not, and if a war is won. There will be a few limits, however I think this may entice people to come join the RP again.

3.) Protecting our region; Norrland is bobbing around in the ocean as it were, able to be attacked by sharks whenever possible, that's why I would recommend joining and alliance, however which can be decided at a later date, so we can all have a say in where we go.
