The truth of the poixes..

The Dream is most often quoted as variations of 'the vision of a strong, harmonious and prosperous society for All - poix and Xeno alike'.

The realization of the Dream is the founding purpose of the Union. The One Throne claims that all poixes share the same vision; that they all dream the same Dream. However, this is not entirely true.

Prior to the One Dream Doctrine, there existed a broad variety of Dreams that different groups of poixes would dream. Though all of them shared the same founding principles of equality, dignity and justice for All, there were major disagreements on the meanings of these terms. What is equality? What is dignity? What is justice? And - what does All mean?

In the view of the One Throne and the oixes dynasty that controls it, this quibbling and divergence needed to be stamped out in the name of one unified interpretation of the Dream. This official narrative of what the Dream is involves centralized authoritarianism and the primacy of the monarchy.

Equality is equality under the Dream. It is the equal submission to purpose - whether lowborn or Sovereign. It is equal treatment under righteous Law.

Dignity means access to resources, services, and community to establish and maintain a comfortable life free from fear - fear of hunger, of cold, of disease, of unrighteous violence.

Justice is that of the Union - that of the One Throne - that of the High Empress. It is non-negotiable; not even by those that it supposedly benefits.

And All includes All - whether poix or Xeno.

Divergence still exists - for free thought is impossible to truly silence. But the days when a poix could freely speak of Dreams and Republics, or Dreams and Federations, in the same sentence are gone. Though the One Throne is sincere in its pursuit of its own orthodoxy, the Dream was never truly monopolized - not by the One Throne, not by the Union, and not even by the
pFoixes.

Nonetheless, those who dream differently should be adequately prepared, for while dissenters may possess rhetoric, the High Empress possesses fleets.
