The Colony of OneMoreLight is a small, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, state-planned economy, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 20 million OneMoreLightians are ruled with an iron fist by the socialist government, which grants its people the freedom to do whatever they like so long as it doesn't involve getting richer than anybody else or challenging the government.

The relatively small, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Spirituality, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 17.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The fair OneMoreLightian economy, worth 799 billion dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, broadly diversified black market in Beef-Based Agriculture, Pizza Delivery, Furniture Restoration, and Soda Sales. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 39,996 dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low. OneMoreLight's national animal is the dinosaur.

OneMoreLight is ranked 213,500th in the world and 4,526th in Artificial Solar System for Most Developed, scoring 48.65 on the Human Development Index.
