The Theocracy of New Sinai is a small, safe nation, notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, devout population of 45 million Sinains are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Healthcare, and Spirituality. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11.4%.

The strong New Sinaian economy, worth 2.09 trillion Credits a year, is quite specialized and led by the Woodchip Exports industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Cheese Exports. Average income is 46,498 Credits, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 144,266 per year while the poor average 11,537, a ratio of 12.5 to 1.

Pharmacists increasingly claim they are morally obligated to take long lunches, people who have had childhood imaginary friends are told they can't ever be trusted with guns, fur coats have become the latest fashion trend, and chickens roam the streets freely. Crime, especially youth-related, is well under control, thanks to a well-funded police force. New Sinai's national animal is the Moth, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

New Sinai is ranked 70,885th in the world and 11th in Brotherhood of Christian States for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 41,197.59 Standard Monetary Units.
