The Sith Empire

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

The Sith Empire

The Empire of the Order of the (Dark) Lords of the Sith known widely as just The Sith Empire and the True Sith is the continuation of the imperial claimant of the Sith Throne of the Old (and all previous) Sith Empires, culmination of all Sith nation-states, through the Dominion over the 120 Sith Worlds, therefore owning all Sith Throneworlds and Holy Worlds, following the exodus of the Eternal Order of the Sith who became the Sith Reconquest following a series of arrangements with Hegemonic Imperator-Aeternus Mitth'raw'nuruodo' and the Sith Emperor, Darth Vellator, secretly the Autarch to the virtual ignorance of all, that would set up Operation Resurgence, bringing forth the return of the Sith to the Galactic Map once more under full Hegemonic support and military-economic alliance.

Etymology

The etymology of the word Sith, referring to the Sith Order which is a sect of Force-sensitives who utilize the dark side of the Force. The term "Sith" originally refers to a species of aliens native to the planets Korriban and Ziost, who were later enslaved and ruled by exiled Dark Jedi from the Galactic Republic, eventually leading to the current Sith. In the Sith Language, "Sith' means "Supreme", "Premier", and/or "Perfect".

History

The Sith Emperor Vellator, a prominent figure within the tumultuous era of the Sith Age of Strife, ascended to power and leadership, culminating in the establishment of the Eternal Sith Order. During this period of profound division and conflict among various Sith factions and warlords, Emperor Vellator emerged as a unifying force, consolidating disparate groups under his banner.

One of Emperor Vellator's notable endeavors was the grand Sith Crusade, aimed at uniting the fragmented Sith Orders and factions. This endeavor marked a significant turning point in Sith history, as it brought cohesion to a landscape marred by internal strife and discord.

Emperor Vellator's reign was characterized by a shroud of mystery and shadows, with little known about his origins or motivations. However, his strategic prowess and charismatic leadership were evident in his ability to rally the Sith forces behind his cause.

In a strategic move to further solidify his power and advance the interests of the Sith, around late 2710s, Emperor Vellator brokered a deal with the Imperator-Aeternus of the Hegemony, one of the dominant powers in the region. This agreement, known as Operation Resurgence, aimed to reclaim the ancestral Sith Worlds and restore the glory of the Sith Empire.

Under Emperor Vellator's leadership, the Sith Reconquest was launched, mobilizing a formidable armada comprised of over 500,000,000 Sith and 11,500,000,000 Sith Loyalists. This vast force set out to reclaim territories in the Northeast of the Milkdromeda Galaxy, which had been usurped by various splinter states and local factions.

The initial phase of Operation Resurgence targeted 50,000 star systems, marking the beginning of a concerted effort to assert Sith dominance in the region with Hegemonic backing. The goal is to kick out or eradicate all current unwanted tenants of the Sith Worlds and the fifty thousand systems, and as of now the Hegemony

Government

The Sith Empire was run as a magocratic authoritarian government. At the head of the Empire sat the Sith Emperor. The Dark Council served as an advisory board and ensured the smooth running of the Empire. The Dark Council served as a combined executive, legislative, and judicial branch of the government. Each of the 12 councilors were responsible for individual areas of the Empire called Spheres of Influence. A sphere would either have one of the three ministries report to it or would have a bureaucracy under it to ensure its functions. A few spheres also had specific agencies that reported to it, separate from the ministries. The three ministries served as the central pillars of the Sith Empire's rule and oversaw the majority of the Imperial government's operations. Each minister reported to a Sith Lord on the Dark Council or in some cases, to several. The Hand of the Emperor working as the chain between the Dark Council and the Emperor, the closest to an appointed head of Government as the Sith could get.
Dark Council
The Dark Council was the supreme governing body of the Sith Empire. A twelve-member council that served as the ruling body throughout much of the Empire's history. Each member of the Dark Council held the title of Dark Lord of the Sith and controlled one of the twelve Spheres of Influence within the Sith Empire, making the Council the most powerful individuals in the Empire below the Sith Emperor himself. Seats on the council were hotly contested among the Sith, with the tenures of some councilors lasting only months while others lasted decades, and every single individual within the entire Empire ultimately answered to one member of the Council through the Imperial hierarchy of power bases.

The ruling body of the Sith Empire, the Dark Council consisted of twelve Sith Lords who each held the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. As the Sith Emperor retreated into seclusion, the Dark Council took over the day-to-day managing of the Empire, and a seat on the Council meant that one was among the most powerful individuals in the Empire—second only to the Emperor himself. In the traditional order of succession on the Council, a fallen member's apprentice was the first choice to replace them,[6] though there were other routes to gaining a seat. The Emperor himself could select new members, as he did after the two purges of traitorous Councils throughout the Empire's history, while the death of a Councilor at the hands of another Sith guaranteed that the victor would take the seat of the fallen Council member. When the traditional order of succession failed, the other members could select new Councilors during their meetings through a unanimous vote, though the Council was not always unanimous on which candidate to select.

Each Council member controlled one of the twelve Spheres of Influence within the Empire, and the various Sith who served each Councilor maintained power bases of their own. Through that system of power bases, every single Sith within the Empire ultimately answered to one of the Dark Council, and every non-Sith organization also fell under one or more of the Councilors' Spheres of Influence. The Spheres of Military Offense and Defense of the Empire were advised by the Sphere of Military Strategy, and together those three Councilors controlled the Imperial Ministry of War. The Dark Councilor at the head of the Sphere of Imperial Intelligence oversaw the Ministry of Intelligence, while the Sphere of Production and Logistics controlled the Ministry of Logistics. The Dark Councilor in charge of the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge commanded the Imperial Reclamation Service, while the Sphere of Mysteries worked in secrecy to guard the secrets of the Sith and the Sphere of Sith Philosophy ensured that the Code of the Sith was upheld and spread anti-Jedi sentiment throughout the Empire. The Sphere of Expansion and Diplomacy oversaw the Imperial Diplomatic Service and the expansion of Imperial borders, and the Sphere of Laws and Justice maintained order and justice within the Empire itself. The final two Spheres, Technology and Biotic Science, oversaw the Empire's technological advancements and medical science respectively.

    Sphere of Biotic Science

    Sphere of Laws and Justice

    Darth Rictus
    Sphere of Production and Logistics

    Sphere of Sith Philosophy
    Darth Aruk
    Sphere of Technology
    Darth Acina

The Sphere of Ancient Knowledge was charged with the protection and expansion of Sith knowledge. The Sphere oversaw the Imperial Reclamation Service and ensured that Sith artifacts and archaeological discoveries were handled correctly and benefited the Sith Order.

The Sphere of Biotic Science was charged with the command of all aspects of the Empire that dealt with the organic body. The Imperial Medical Corps, cybernetic augmentation, disease control, Sith alchemy, and genetic manipulations and experiments all fell within the Sphere's control.

The Sphere of Defense of the Empire was concerned with the direction of the Imperial Military in order to preserve the Empire and its people from external and internal threats. As a result, the Sphere shared joint control of the Ministry of War and the Imperial Military with the heads of the Spheres of Military Offense and Military Strategy, and it often coordinated its efforts with the Sphere of Imperial Intelligence.

The Sphere of Expansion and Diplomacy oversaw the expansion of the Empire's borders and directed the Imperial Diplomatic Service in its efforts to secure new allies and maintain their allegiances. While the Sphere controlled both diplomacy and expansion, the Sphere's leader determined which of the two the Empire favored during the Councilor's tenure.

The Sphere of Imperial Intelligence oversaw the Ministry of Intelligence, with the Minister of Intelligence reporting directly to the head of the Sphere. All of Intelligence's many divisions, including Imperial Intelligence—the primary intelligence-gathering arm of the Ministry—and the propaganda-generating Outreach Bureau fell under the control of the Sphere's leader.

The Sphere of Laws and Justice directed the law enforcement and justice branches of the Empire, and under the Sphere's control the rigid order and efficiency of Imperial society remained intact and Imperial justice was maintained across the Empire.

The Sphere of Military Offense directed the Imperial Military and the Ministry of War in all offensive military operations, commanding the military's firepower and resources in order to destroy the Empire's enemies and ensure their territorial and military supremacy.

The Sphere of Military Strategy controlled the battle plans, strategies, and other military procedures in addition to the Imperial Conquest Consolidation Corps, and the Sphere worked directly with the Spheres of Defense and Military Offense to command the Ministry of War.

The Sphere of Mysteries, also known as the Keeper of Mysteries sphere, was the most secretive of the twelve. The rest of the Empire knew almost nothing about the Sphere's inner workings or purpose, and they only understood that the mysteries which the Sphere protected were important to the Empire.

The Sphere of Production and Logistics was charged with overseeing the Ministry of Logistics, with the Minister of Logistics reporting directly to the Dark Councilor in charge of the Sphere. Through the Ministry, the Sphere oversaw the Empire's trade routes, resources, economy, military supply lines, transportation systems, nationalized industries, slave populations, and other assets and programs essential to the continued functions of the Empire.

The Sphere of Sith Philosophy was tasked with the protection of the Code of the Sith, ensuring that the acolytes and apprentices of the Sith Order remained loyal to the tenets of their Order, spreading anti-Jedi teachings and propaganda, and also ensuring that the Empire remained free of those who believed in the powers or advantages of the light side of the Force.

The Sphere of Technology oversaw the creation of powerful new cybernetics, superweapons, military technology and other revolutionary machines for the good of the Empire.

Military

The Imperial Military was the backbone of Imperial society and the Empire itself, as Imperial culture and society had been highly militarized since the Empire's early years on Dromund Kaas. Odile Vaiken's training regimen, which saw use by the Empire for centuries after Vaiken's death, led to the drafting of every able-bodied adult into military service. This remained a mainstay of the military in the centuries after his death: every non-Force-sensitive in the Empire was automatically conscripted into the military upon reaching adulthood, and they remained in service until retirement or disability. While advancement and promotion helped skilled military officers establish powerful families with histories of military service, the children of those families were expected to earn their own place in the military and received no special treatment on account of their lineage.

Above the ranks of generals and admirals in the Army and Navy, there existed the rank of Moffs and Imperial High Command, which answered directly to the Ministry of War. The individual who holds the rank of Grand Moff, which was established for Odile Vaiken, answers directly to the Minister of War and possesses special privileges, often developing close ties to the Dark Council. Moffs were allowed greater variety in their uniform colors, as they typically tailored their uniforms to reflect past service and their current command. Imperial officers also utilized code cylinders, which allowed them access to secure areas and intelligence resources.

The Imperial Army was the ground forces of the Sith Empire, and the soldiers of the Empire typically wore black armor and carried blaster rifles into combat. Ground forces begin live-fire exercises in the jungles of Dromund Kaas within weeks of their enlistment into the military, and even those non-combatants in the military were trained in the use of basic weapons, survival skills, and first aid. The Army also made use of Imperial crawler tanks, Imperial walkers, and a number of models of war droids like the Sith war droid Mark II. Imperial heavy troopers were issued full-body black armor crafted from duraplast, with colored markings signifying their unit or special assignments. Their leg armor was specially designed to preserve mobility and to protect from shrapnel, and while their belt housed extra ammunition and grenades for easy access, the armor's bracers housed environmental and targeting controls, and the readouts on the suit's chest provided medical diagnostics for treating soldiers who were wounded in their armor. Heavy infantry soldiers typically wore about a hundred pounds of armor, and most soldiers carried rifles, sidearms, grenades, and five days of rations. The typical service period for an Imperial soldier was twenty-five to thirty years.

The Imperial Navy was the naval branch of the Imperial Military, and was overseen by the Ministry of War alongside the Army. Imperial Navy ranks adhered to the following structure: Private, Specialist, Corporal, Petty Officer, Ensign, Lieutenant, Commander, Captain, Group Captain, Commodore, and Admiral. The primary vessel of the Navy was the Harrower-class dreadnought, a massive dreadnaught produced by Taerab Starship Manufacturing.
