Ah I see a pun lol
Hey guys! Been a bit busy, but it's great to see that the RMB has been chugging along in my absence. :D
We have some new and returning nations in Wintreath! Welcome to Dissemblants, Loneli-Ness, Manifowl, Wings of Coronia, Ogdenistan, Gi Mi, Mincheria, Stevie Wonder (goodness, lol), Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Hmmmmmmmmmmm (Hmm), Great Vorpal Railways, Better Rusaia, Teleukrinia Klomanitan States (aka Sea Offland lol), Taxos, Takayas, Birqastan, RIVERHILL, Northeast Iowa (gone but a few days ^-^), and New Cyber City. Goodness that's a lot of nations! Thanks for joining or rejoining up with us, we're glad to have you! If you haven't already and you feel comfortable, please introduce yourself here and let us know what made you decide to join. We'd love to hear from you!
The movies vary in quality...when it comes to the movies with the original cast in it, many people believe the even number movies are best (II, IV, and VI). They were the biggest successes, although each has its own vibe...IV is quite campy lol, but it's a fun movie. With the ones with TNG cast, the only one I could recommend is First Contact. The others could have been television shows and just don't translate well to being movies.
Greetings, and welcome again! It's about to rain where I live, which is preferable to heat. Actually, the weather has been pleasant here for the last while for May :)
Hello! Thanks for visiting us on the RMB! :D
Your nation name reminds me of something from when I was a kid. In second grade sometimes we had to get in a circle and complement the person next to us. I didn't really know anybody well, and I didn't want to put myself out there, so I'd always say "I like your shoes". Not quite shoelaces, but close enough lol
You're welcome! As delegate, every day I try to make sure I've endorsed everybody, though I've been a bit busy lately and missed a few days. v_v
One of the things Dystopia or Aport will take over soon enough, though of course I'll still be endorsing too lol
Have you posted today hmm? :P
**Some Delegate-related questions**
Aportistopireistan: There have been periods where you've been absent for stretches of time...nothing wrong with that, of course, but if you were to become delegate could you guarantee that you would be around regularly to fulfill the minimum responsibilities?
The Age of Dystopia: How would you handle a conflict between what the community wanted and what you wanted? I know you've answered that in general, but let's say for example a proposal to repeal the injunction on The Communist Bloc, which you talked about earlier, were to come up, and the community supported it?
And to both of you: Why Wintreath? You are both involved in other great regions, and you can only have one WA nation. So why Wintreath specifically?
And have you given any thought to whether you'd want a Vice-Delegate or not? It's not a requirement, but I saw it mentioned on the Discord.
I do believe that a Vice-Delegate would help provide input on what the community wants and could serve as a whip, seeing who would vote for what.
My opinions aren't all that strong for TCB's injunction, so it's not the best example, but in a conflict between what the majority is and what I want to vote for I'd vote for what the wintreath WA majority is voting for. I don't intend on breaking promises, and so if there is a clear majority for or against a WA resolutions I will vote for that. If I dislike it I'll probably give out a reccomendation to vote contrary to the majority and try and convince people, but I won't vote opposing a clear majority.
I haven't really thought about any vice delegate, I kinda assumed the position was just the WA power, but if I do have a vice-delegate there are two paths to take. The first path is to have an experienced Vice-delegate to take on stuff that I can't do and provide another experienced voice in matters, which is often helpful. The second path is to take on somebody who has no or minimal experience, someone who's active and will stay active so as to help them build up a NS "resume". The goal of this second path is to foster more people who can and want to serve as delegate, or if any government does get set up in the distant future there are more people to serve under that.
Overall, I'm not sure if I want a vice delegate, the first choice is less work than the second, but the second is much better for the region so I'd be leaning towards that if I did have a Vice-delegate.
As for why I have my WA here, I don't really have it anywhere else at the moment. I haven't moved it to TSP because I don't really want to feel the need to endotart an entire GCR, and I don't really have any other regions to move it to. As for defending I haven't been all that active in that area recently, so I haven't been using it for that much either.
I was thinking about how to answer this, but I think AoD got said is right.
Purple, the only right answer
1. The main reason I was gone for so long was because my depression was worse then, but now that I'm in therapy and might be getting more medication, I will be more active.
2. Of all my regions, I've been here the longest. I care about this community, and I want to help it as much as I can.
3. If I end up being delegate, I'll want AoD as my Vice.

I'll tell you a bit more.
I live in Vancouver, Canada, so my time is GMT -7, and I can only come to NS between 2:00 PM and 3:00 AM. I love this Region, and have no intentions to leave ANY time soon. I do not support raids. This Nation is supposed to be a Beacon of Hope founded by Tortured Servants. Thanks so much for having me in this Region!
Hey hey. I have completed two posts in less than two days. My new world record! Pretty proud of myself for this achievement. When I'm on my death bed I'll remember this.
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing good today :)
Good job! I'm just on the forum if anybody needs me.
