I'm sorry to report, my friends, but this Union is dead. The state of this region can only be described as braindead, solely surviving through several attempts by diligent members to resuscitate it. However, there comes a time when medically, enough is enough.

I have sadly come to the conclusion, not helped since taking on additional hours at work and additional stress from exams, that I must resign from my post as Deputy PM and MP with immediate effect. I will be passing my seat onto the Vanguard Party. Though we disagree on almost everything, they are about the only core userbase the region has left.

I advise you all to follow me in leaving this region, and enjoying something new.

The region is dead. Long live the future.

Gazoo says long live the Union because Gazoo support this Union. This union is not dead!
Gazoo is sad to see your resignation.

Nimbys wrote:As a final goodbye, sort your head out Zetox. I know you like to brag about Ivy League and all that nonsense, but based off of that I'd have to guess you're clinically insane.

The British people do not indeed like the conservatives. What you are seeing is a horrific spectacle that could be described either as Stockholm syndrome or simply "pork belly politics". The north has been crushed under a decade of conservative austerity to the point where they are ultimately forced to vote conservative, to get what little they can.

Thatcher did this well, as Spitting Image aptly put "Dont take everything away. Make them grateful for what little they get". Plus anyway, our First Past the Post voting system dangerously skews the vote towards Conservative candidates, and weakens the chances of smaller parties.
Also, doing the best for the united kingdom? seriously? Matt Hancock is a laughing stock, Priti Patel is a cretinous bully and Gavin Williamson is a public embarassment. The amount of cronyism and swindling of public funds rivals only the US Trump Administration...

Remember what happened last time trump came over the pond? to the place that supposedly loves him? oh yeah we put up a blimp of him in a diaper didn't we...

Anyway I digress, I'd advise you to spend more time actually understanding Britain, and our politics. It's quite starkly different to the US's.

First of all, Gazoo is very smart! Gazoo is not crazy! If Gazoo was crazy he will not be considered as genius, nor enter an Ivy League School like Cornell University or even applying to Harvard University

Don’t understand why you are using Gazoo as an excuse with your decision of resigning and stating that the Union is dead. The Union is not dead!

Gazoo knows the British people! Gazoo family line come from the United Kingdom and that fact of the matter is that British are conservative and they support the Tories! Look all the election results for that past 75 years! The vast majority of the year have been under a Conservative Prime Minister, (a progressive Conservative party because we are the only party ever had the first two woman Prime Minister)

May 6 local elections demonstrated that people are happy with Conservative party and they fully support Brexit, which Gazoo was the only person in this great Union that supported that!

Leria wrote:Following on from Nimbys resignation, I’m afraid it’s only right to announce mine.

This Region has sadly been in decline for a while, I’ve done my best to try to revive what’s left but I no longer sense a spark of hope that I can make a change. I’m choosing to resign as PM and as an MP, and choosing to hand my seat to the Vanguard Party, as members such as Elmito, La summa malitia and Highlock are reasonably active and I have hope they can shape the future of the Union as I have not been able to.

I shall also be announcing the dissolution of the Center Party, and the MP’s associated with it shall sit as Independents, as I see no feasible reason for the parties existence following my departure. As La summa malitia shall be leader of the largest party in Parliament, I’d recommend all World Assembly members endorse him as he shall become the Region’s Prime Minister.

Best of luck,
- Leria

Prime Minister, Gazoo is sad to see your resignation as well. Gazoo disagree with you stating this Union is in decline because it is not!

Nimbys wrote:Good choice, our resignations are somewhat of a coup de grâce for the region.

Wow, Gazoo can’t believe you are admitting this is inside coup to destroy the government!

Kaiser South Waterford we need help!!!!!!!!!

Elmito wrote:First I will like to say that I am sad to see how the previous administration left their positions after saying that we need a new constitution and new laws. After changing on how the region worked (it was working quite well, if I can say so myself) they leave.

Now being the majority party in this region, we will fix all the damage they did and move it this region because they couldnt do anything. We are now are the majority and have the votes necessary to move things along.

In the upcoming days and week, Vanguard Party will be presenting legislation to fix what the previous administation broke!

Congratulations to you, Highlock, La summa malitia and Merlita on becoming the majority party of this Union.

South Waterford wrote:Contrary to the statement of a former official, the UAS is not dead.

Dear Citizens and Friends of the UAS:

I, like many of you are extremely surprised at today’s events. It appears that this has been thoughtfully planned for at least 6 days or more. The officials who resigned today and formed a new region are the same officials who pushed very aggressively toward adopting the new constitution. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. The former Deputy Prime Minister had no right nor the authority to declare this region dead, even though that maybe his opinion. I want to assure the citizens and our friends we have abroad that the UAS is alive.

Over the past 3 years we have had our ups and downs, times of extreme activity and inactivity, like many other regions, and we go through that cycle over and over again. It’s part of real life, many of us have jobs in the public and private sectors and often time IRL over takes our ability to play this game. To those who left, I truly wish them well in their new region.

I have stripped the executive powers of the WAD until a new government is formed, currently we are most likely looking at a reorganization around the 20th of this month.

If you have any questions, please feel free to telegram me or hit me up on discord.

Respectfully,

HARMAN H. TEASEDALE

Kaiser, thank you for your kind words! Yes, this Union is not dead! This was an attack from group of nations that had this plan against you, our constitution and our Union.

This Union is alive and have demonstrated time after time that we are strong!!!

Long Live The Kaiser!
Long Live South Waterford!
Long Live the Union!

Exactly! This Union is strong and outlived those separatists regions! This Union have a strong backbone and have demonstrated time after time that we are strong Union

Long Live the Union!

France Europe wrote:This region is not dead. Contrary to what others have said, this region is still alive. It has worked and it still works very well. I think that those who suddenly left the region made a mistake, in addition to having caused an unprecedented disturbance resulting from personal ambitions. Therefore, on behalf of the LDA government, I would like to pledge my full support to the Head of State of this region South Waterford. We urge the authorities to restore the government to a constitutional framework and we invite all citizens still present to join forces to rebuild or improve what they feel is lacking.

Looks like there’s some turbulence again in the region. Oh well.

I do still encourage everyone to stick around here in the Union though. A community is built by action, so when there’s a void of action, it’s also everyone’s chance to do something. So, if you’ve got spare time and don’t mind contributing, do be around and take part in the community. The Union lies on the hands of everyone.

Exactly!! This Union was built by strong nations not by cowards! This Union is also caring and take care of nations here and abroad. We provide political refugees as well give them all the rights and responsibility under our Union, just as Gazoo’s best friend and brother Handal Ands. He will be a great asset to our Union if he decide to come back! He is a former President and have a great mind!

Long Live the Union!

Gazoo is confused, who should Gazoo endorse Highlock or La summa malitia since they are co-leader of the Vanguard Party (now the Majority Party) Gazoo knew that La summa malitia was the Minority Leader but can somebody confirm if he became the Majority Leader within his party and Prime Minister or it was decided that Highlock is the Prime Minister

Who are you referring to? To those who left their position?

I'd say buck your ideas up. Don't be in denial. The region is dead, so now you have the chance to do something with it. We tried. We failed. It's part of life. You don't continue something if there's no hope of it surviving any longer.

What makes a region dead?

I could link 1000+ regions who have less than 10 people and 0 activity.

How is a region with 100 nations, probably around 30-40 individuals(WA members), dead by any means?

are you admitting that quantity now matters more to you than the quality of the subject?

Cappedore wrote:are you admitting that quantity now matters more to you than the quality of the subject?

Im asking questions not admitting anything.
If there was absolutely no activity, then I'd agree that its dead. That's just not the case, sure there has been less activity but to just write everything off like that?

i dont think you understand how low morale has been around here since like january lmao

This region is not dead! Gazoo dont understand why you said that!

Why can Gazoo be on discord?! Can’t talk there. I even included the code it asked Gazoo to the bot

Cappedore wrote:i dont think you understand how low morale has been around here since like january lmao

Do you genuinely feel demoralized here? This is a game surrounding politics. Politics, where two sides usually disagree and have discussions on those disagreements. Are we supposed to just pretend like we agree with everything everyone is saying at all times?

Maybe I don't understand.. I don't see how anyone could be demoralized by strangers on the internet

First of all I am surprised that previous administration left the region and went create a new region using the similar rules that we have here established. It weird to see that, the majority party left to create a new region. This is usually happens when the minority are frustrated but they were the government and they failed us, they failed the region left to do a copy and paste another region

I think we should considered bring back the previous constitution. South Waterford, can you provide copy of the previous constitution? It was a better one, it was more democratic and it was working.

I don't consider the region to be dead, as matter of fact the previous administration caused the lack of activity when they wanted to do drastic changes in which it was not necessary,

RMB seems pretty lively with the back and forth of "Region ded lol" and "Its not ded lol"
If the region was truly dead, we wouldnt be talking in it now would we?

The British Imperial wrote:RMB seems pretty lively with the back and forth of "Region ded lol" and "Its not ded lol"

Being in this region going 4ish years now, i can assure you we had a peak of activity which is now falling. Give its a few weeks or even a couple months and regional activity will spike again.
Until we see the region have a month of zero activity the region is far from being dead. I will admit we may be in a decline though, might be cause our governments keep resigning.

Wait hold up, so the people complaining about a dead region go off to start a new region, how backward are your thought processes? you have a constitution you wrote and wanted, you had control of the government, you had all the power to change things, you claimed to have no time to be members of the regional government, and now you must have some time for the game if you think running off and starting from scratch is the way to go.

Cappedore wrote:i dont think you understand how low morale has been around here since like january lmao

Low morale? low morale over what? everything they've posted in that new region is the same as what they've been doing in here for months, it'll be dead in there for weeks if its just them, honestly what would have raised morale? I'm hearing no solutions from those complaining about activity again, because every single time any change is made in this region, there is nothing but complaining, any change to anything will result in a temper tantrum, and then it always falls on someone else to fix the mess, its never those that cause it, out of no where people like myself and BI get thrown a position we never wanted, and are told "fix it", this region is not dead not even close, ever since I stopped looking at the government side of the region its been the same flow of comments in this RMB, and even the government board still has a fair degree of activity in it. From the sounds of it ye have some other outside or perhaps personal issues with each other at play here, its not "low morale" because of a dead region we're doing fine, tell those daft eejits to get back in here and stop whinging, making a new region is a sure fire way to experience less activity.

sounds like more of a reason to give up with the UAS does it not?

Don’t worry guys “It’ll be over by Christmas.”

Cappedore wrote:sounds like more of a reason to give up with the UAS does it not?

That's how you respond to that? Where'd you get this answer from? Because if it's about the complaining it's ye who do it. Now how about you answer my question, what would have raised morale?

Oh would you look at that, I just checked over the rmb for the last month and that there was any where from 1 to 6 comments per day and no one posted for 2 days once or twice, yeah the region is dead guys better all run off

Its dead jim, the heart is still beating and the blood is still pumping but its dead guys. Best thing we can do is abandon it and start a new region with 5 people

That’s why we have a Court, to solves disputes!
Gazoo isn’t demoralized despite being one of the most attacked nation in this Union because of Gazoo’s belief and conservatism
