Strangereal Roleplay Map

Very important points:

1. If you would like to stake a claim in for some land on the map then TG, British Bayonet, Blob Regulators, Dronelig, Western Vapia, Nirvasyl.
2. If you make a post on the RMB asking to be put on the map, or put it in a factbook or dispatch, you will be ignored, please refrain from doing so.
3. Try your best to find out in advance WHERE you would like to claim, not just "can i join the map pls" or a vague "this rough area pls" *points at an entire continent* Get yourself Linkpaint.net, make a thing, show where you want it. Or at the very absolute least try to put in words exactly where, it's not that hard.
4. When you know where you want to be, stay there, don't ask carto if you can move. "B-b-but that spot is nicer and-" Should have thought of that in advance.

-

-

Claims must be:
1. Reasonable enough to be put onto the map. If you want more accurate claims and you have Paint.net, beginner claims have a limit of 40k pixels. Your secondary nation will have to be at 20k pixels or less. However a secondary cannot be claimed immediately upon joining the map.
2. Picky is good. Feel free to request changes to borders if you aren't happy with them.
3. This map's planet is the same size as Earth, so we won't be making the map any bigger. If Earth can fit 200 nations, so can this.
4. We are not changing or adding new territory to the map. Use the existing land more efficiently and we won't need any more.
5. Not on any body of water.
-
Map removal will occur when:
1. AFRP, or Away From RP (not RPing for 30 days, 20 days in the case of people on other RMB maps)
2. RMB RP Ban (if one clause states "therefore, the RMB Cartography Staff shall remove <nation> from the map")
3. Cease to Exist (when the nation dies in the 28th day. Exceptions apply.)
4. Moderator Sanctioned
5. RP posts are not up to standard (refrain from making posts that are just one sentence)

1) All nations are able to claim up to the initial 40,000 claim limit for main nations at any time.

2) Action Expansions
Rules of the Action Expansion

Section 1: Expansion Size and Limitations
1A) The expansion may comprise of up to 20,000 pixels at any one time.
For example, if Nation A is 40k pixels they may expand up to 20k additional pixels for a total of 60k pixels.
The maximum size a nation can become is 200,000 pixels.

1B) For nations under the 40k claim limit they can claim their remaining pixels to bring them to the limit before applying the rule.
For example, if Nation B is 30k pixels they can claim their remaining 10k pixels to bring them to the 40k claim limit then apply the rule to expand an additional 20k pixels. In total Nation B would be able to use this expansion to expand by 30k pixels for a total of 60k pixels.

We are instituting a 200,000 pixel cap (this is equivalent to expanding by 160,000 px). You may only expand 20,000 pixels at a time with a 3 month cooldown between expansions. Finally, depending on the circumstances the Mod/Carto team will be able to grant extensions to expansions.

Section 2: How Expansions Occur and Work

Word Requirements for claims:
With 40,000 Initial
New nation size - Number of Words : Number of Pixels
40,000 - Initial
40,001 ≤60,000 - 1:2
60,001 ≤80,000 - 1:1
80,001 ≤100,000 - 1.2:1
100,001 ≤120,000 - 1.5:1
120,001 ≤140,000 - 1.8:1
140,001 ≤160,000 - 2.1:1
160,001 ≤180,000 - 2.4:1
180,001 ≤200,000 - 2.7:1

2A) For every pixels that are claimed, the RPer must provide the amount of word of roleplay related to their expansion.
Example: Nation A is expanding by 20k pixels from 40,000 to 60,000. In order to be valid, Nation A must write 10,000 words of roleplay.

2B) In regard to fulfilling the roleplay requirement for their expansion, worldbuilding posts regarding the expanded area can be made. These can form up to 25% of the total words required. Additionally, the use of alternative methods such as Flags and Maps etc. can fulfil up to 50% of the worldbuilding allowance.
For example, Nation C is expanding by 20k pixels and thus are required to provide 10k words of roleplay. Of the 10k words required, 2.5k (25%) can be provided through worldbuilding. Within those 2.5k words, up to 50% can be provided through alternative methods. In this example it would be equivalent to 1.25k words.

2C) Please notify us of a piece of Worldbuilding or RP that would count towards your word count quota by pinging ONE member of RMB RP Moderation OR RMB Cartography Staff with a link to the desired Worldbuilding piece or RP post. Failure to do so may result in said RP/Worldbuilding post not being counted towards your word quota. Additionally, you can mention one of the previously stated applicable members to check your word quota at anytime, and get updates to see if something has been counted or not, but just remember be respectful and patient as we may be busy with other discussions at the time of your contact. Impatience will get you nowhere.

2D) Using things such as one-liner posts* will not count towards the requirement. See post-script below what one-liner posts mean.

2E) After making a claim a period of 6 months (26 updates) will begin during which the requirements for the expansion must be met.

2F) The existing rules in regards to expansions such as those for colonial claims etc. will be applied to all expansions.

Section 3 - Criteria to Qualify for Expansion
3A) Only primary (main) nations are allowed this expansion. Alternative (secondary) nations will not.

3B) The nation must have been on the map for at least a period of 2 months, this starts from the map that the nation was added on. If you have been removed around this period, then this starts from your most recent re-addition.

3C) In order for the claim to be approved, an OOC written response must be made providing the reasoning why you wish for the expansion for that territory. This must inform us of the thought behind the expansion and how you will fulfil the roleplay mandate. Moderation and cartography may ask further questions for the purpose of clarification.

3D) Roleplay and Worldbuilding posts must be related to the expansion for it to be counted as valid.

* - One-liner posts are an umbrella term to describe RMB posts that compose only of one paragraph. News posts (or articles) do not count either. *
The following is the minimum length of one paragraph:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Horrorlandian State Presents: Dark Conspiracy Theories About Children's TV Shows - Part 2

Note: This Is The Second And Final Part Of Our Series On Conspiracy Theories Surrounding Children's Television Shows:

11. The Little Einsteins:

This cartoon is about a group of hyper intelligent children who are trying to preserve humanity after an apocalypse wipes out the world's population according to some conspiracies. The Little Einsteins are the only humans left in Earth and is there job to keep humanity intact. This is why the episodes contain children discussing some part of human history with other characters on the show that are mythical creatures or machines. Fans also theorize that the children on this show are incredibly smart because because have been genetically engineered to be that way.

12. Thomas & Friends:

This show focuses on a train named Thomas and the various adventures he goes on with his friends on The Island of Sodor. A Canadian Professor of political science believes that this show presents a totalitarian nightmare where life has no meaning at all. The leadership presented on this show is heavily male-dominated and there is no sympathy for anyone who might be sensitive. Trains are just encouraged to work and to work harder. The only reward in life is work because it is its own reward. In one episode of the show, the train conductor punishes a train named Henry who does not want to leave the station for fear he will ruin his new coat of paint. The train conductor builds a brick wall in front of Henry so that nobody can see his new look. The conductor leaves some space open so that Henry can see what he is missing during his punishment.

13. The Backyardigans:

This cartoon series is about a group of animals that teach children how to have fun in their own backyards using their imaginations. One conspiracy theory about thid show is that it one of the characters on the show named "Uniqua" is actually a figment of the other characters' imaginations. She visits them in their backyards, but they cannot get her out of their minds afterwards as she follows them everywhere.

This theory is supported by the fact that all of the other characters on this show are real animals, but viewers are not exactly sure what kind of animal "Uniqua" really is as she is described as being a unique species. Some theorize that "Uniqua" is an ominisce presence that will continue to follow the other characters for a very long time.

14. Avatar: The Last Airbender:

This animated series is about a 12 year-old boy named Aang who goes on quests to save the world and end a destructive war with the Fire Nation.

One of many conspiracy theories surrounding this show claims that it does not take place in our world, but a totally different and much smaller planet. This theory explains why there is a lot less gravity in the world of Avatar and how everything is located close together. Less gravity also enables the characters to do high jumps and move through the air without problems.

15. Sesame Street:

For over 50 years, Sesame Street has been entertaining children from all walks of life providing them with what seems like a safe haven for learning and fun. However, the show is full of its own list of conspiracy theories including one about the show's theme song.

According to one such theory, the theme song actually contains a code of directions in its lyrics about how to get to sesame street and it is quite literal. In order to get to Sesame Street it must be a sunny day outside. You must bring a broom with you on the way to Sesame Street so that you can "sweep the clouds away." Finally, once you get there, you must give Oscar The Grouch the password which is "everything's a-okay," in order to enter. You must memorize these steps before you try them!

Another interesting conspiracy theory about Sesame Street us that it is a rehabilitation centre for scary monsters. The place contains many different types of monsters that used to be scary, but once they moved to Sesame Street they were in a sense "rehabilitated" to become educators rather than eaters of children. They had to find other sources of food. This is why Cookie Monster loves cookies.

A more sinister theory about Sesame Street is that The Count eats the children who appear on the show after he teaches them how to add. This explains why the cast of children who appear on the show changes often. The adults continue to stay on the show because The Count puts them under a vampiric spell as he teaches the children about numbers and counting.

16. Arthur:

This hit television show follows the life an 8 year-old aardvark and his friends who are in the third grade as they tackle real world challenges. Over its lengthy run, the show has garnered up many interesting conspiracy theories including one claiming that the sister of one of the characters is actually part of The Illuminati a sinister occult group tgsy controls everything that happens in the world. This theory came about after an episode featured Prunella and her sister Rubella. In a scene, there were images of Illuminati occult symbols such as the All Seeing Eye in different parts of Prunella's house. Fans were quick to point out these symbols and called the show out for catering to The Illuminati and its various agendas. Some fans believe that Prunella's entire family is part of The Illuminati due to all of the imagery. In the show as a whole, rats are not trusted at all, so the theory that Prunella's family may be involved in some sinister underground organization might not be too far-fetched after all.

Some other conspiracies involving this show include the idea that the characters are actually all played by aliens and that it is actually a reality show created by Matt Damon.

17. Tom And Jerry:

This cartoon is about the wild and crazy adventures of Tom ( a cat) and Jerry (a mouse). The two of them go through all kind of comical events. In the series, they dislike each other, but according to conspiracy theories, they are actually best friends who assist each other and share a bond. Some fans believe that the two are not enemies. Tom chases Jerry away so that his owner does not replace him with another cat and kill Jerry.

18. Scooby-Doo:

This cartoon is about a group of teenage friends and their dog named Scooby-Doo who travel around in a green van solving all kinds of mysteries.

One conspiracy theory about this show is that the original version is set after a tragic economic depression. All of the villains in the show are people who would normally be seen as respected professionals such as professors, museum curators, and celebrities, but their lives have fallen apart due to financial hardship. Furthermore, the teenagers in the show do not attend school because all schools have have shutdown. This serves to explain why they all live in a van. The conspiracy theory claims that they have become homeless and the van is the only shelter they have left.

19. Pinky And The Brain:

Two mice try to conquer the world in this hilarious and beloved animated series that aired from 1995 to 1998. One main conspiracy theory about this show is that the real genius is NOT The Brain, but is Pinky, instead! This is because in the show, The Brain invents many clever ways of taking over the world, but Pinky is quick to point out all of his flaws. Brain shows clear signs of insanity because he does the same thing repeatedly expecting different results. Fans also say that there are a few episodes where Pinky is more successful in attempting to take over the world than Brain is and this ends up angering Brain. Pinky becomes sad about this and he uses a machine to lower his intelligence so that Brain could like him again. There is also an old version of the theme song where Pinky sings that Brain is the insane one. When Brain asks Pinky what he said, Pinky denies saying anything at all.

20. Recess:

Disney's: Recess is an animated series about the lives of six fourth graders at Third Street School whose main job is to protect the other children on their school playground from harm. There are a plethora of amusing comspirwcy theories about this show including one that states that each of the characters represents characters from Robin Hood. Here is a closer look at each character and the characters from the most modern version of Robin Hood that they symbolize.

TJ represents Robin Hood a charismatic hero with a strong sense of justice.

Spinelli is Maid Marian represented as being a spunky action girl.

Mikey represents Little John because he is a Gentle Giant and always seen as a protector-like figure with a sensitive side.

Gus represents Much the very awkward sidekick.

Gretchen is Djaq, the resident scientist and smart girl.

Vince presents possibly two different characters according to the theory. One theory states that he is Will Scarlet (the quiet one) or Allan (the sparky one).

Principal Prickly is Prince John who is an evil and distant overlord.

Miss. Minster is the Sheriff playing as the hands-on overseer of everything going on at the school.

Finally, Randall is Guy of Gisborne (the sheriff's lackey, who has moments of empathy with the [group]).

A creepier conspiracy theory about this show exists claiming that the children at the school are all ghosts of children who attended the school and died under tragic circumstances they encountered.

This concludes our series on conspiracy theories based on popular children's television shows. What are your thoughts on these theories? Do any of them hold any merit for you? Let us know!

You can like call me Robin, or don't, I don't care
