Government Begins Initiative to Build Artificial Land Inside of Yalagch Gulf

The e-Obet Parliament just confirmed a new bill that will spend a few billion dollars to build artificial land in the city of Zalinsky. The capital city of Zalinsky is actually divided by the Yalagch Gulf. There is approximately 91 square kilometers separating the capital. This being a huge national project the parliament had to confirm it. The bill giving money and allowing artificial land was passed with unanimous support in the CA, and only 6 Naes in the PA. The bill will supply $82 billion Gorams to narrow the gap from 91 km to 10-14 km, and then build some bridges.

Obets will be building partially on international waters. Therefore we need to consult the international community first. When the project is finished there will still be a sizeable canal leading through, however to pass through the gulf all the way to Kiamai you will eventually, have to pass through e-Obet waters. Tariffs will not be issued to anyone, however when you reach e-Obet waters there will be tolls. You will still be able to freely pass all the way through the Yalagch gulf except you will only have to face the small hassle of the tolls on e-Obet waters.

The project will continue unless there are any objections. All we want to do is make traveling through Zalinsky more convenient, only for the price of you having to pass through our waters to get all the way in or all the way out of the Yalagch Gulf. If you object to us building on international waters, first reconsider, and then tell us.

In recent news,

the Parliament has been considering a new passenger rail-link between Maroona, 21km north of Narrallen, and the Obettian capital.

In other news, a semitrailer has been struck by a train at Coban Park. The truck became stuck on the Lower Kiandra Street level crossing just before 5am. The crossing was protected by flashing lights, but no boom gates were installed.

The first passenger service in the morning, servicing the line from Narrallen Central to Devondale, collided with the trailer, filled with 20 tons of fruit, as it attempted to clear the crossing.

No injuries have been reported.

The Amorosian Police have issued a timely reminder to motorists and pedestrians about the importance of staying safe around the railway corridor.

"There's one clear message here; keep your wits about you around the tracks, don't take risks, don't rush around the gates, don't rush THROUGH the gates, don't run the red lights, cross only where it's safe, you get the gist," the Commissioner said in a statement to The Narrallen Star.

The Civil War in Lunnia

Today, the shipments, troops, and fighters arrived in South Santana, where they began their operation to protect President Naxalxy and his new nation from Exsorcial, Lunnia, and the entire League of Tyranny as a whole.

Sadly, the Mikalans informed Santana that no other help would come from the TDCP, because Mikal had acted on their own accord.

Lieutenant Petro Giamatzal lead the larger Mikalan force, which began a defense of the nation with the Santanan army.

An interview from the Lieutenant said that "Mikalans have not fought in true combat for 300 years, so this will be quite the new experience for our troops".

Overall, the regiment of Mikalan troops would be put under the command of the Santanan army, as the Mikalan army commanders were quite inexperienced. But the squadron of fighter planes was kept under Mikalan command for some time, and with success.

The Mikalan Flight Academy is one of the most difficult and rigorous flight schools in the world, and it showed today, when the fighter squadron was able to prevent one of Exsorcial's bomber plane squadrons from reaching Santanan airspace.

But still, while the Mikalan pilots are experienced, Exsorcial, Lunnia, and the League of Tyranny's forces greatly outnumber them, which has caused most of the Mikalan forces in Santana to go under the command of the Santanans themselves, who have experience in the fighting.

The Mikalan government has accepted the invitation, and will be sending Second Minister Lukas Petrović, Finance Minister Nikolas Ianovich, and Minister of Diplomatic Affairs and Relations Delen Cheveula to the event. Sadly, Prime Minister Fortín can not join the delegation, as he is planning to visit Doctors Orvos soon to establish more diplomatic relations.

And while Mikal respects the travel ban, they would like to note to Kiamai that in the future they should think twice before labeling nations as dangerous or thinking they would attack.

Prime Minister Fortín to Visit Doctors Orvos

As mentioned previously, the Prime Minister is to visit Doctors Orvos in a few days, where he is planned to meet Grand Doctor Alexander von Likaryu in the Orvosian capital.

PM Fortín said today that "I hope this visit improves our already good relations with Doctors Orvos further".

Second Period of Growth Declared
Just today, the Union Assembly and President-Bishop William Blumvál passed the Denolian Growth Act, which formalizes the Periods of Growth system wherein the National Growth Commission has expanded power for a specified time. Periods of Growth may be called when the Union Assembly and President-Bishop both approve of one, which not-so-coincidentally, has just happened. This Period shall last from today to the end of may, just in time for the June Midterm Elections.

The primary focus of the Period is likely to be transportation infrastructure, education, and the military.

Denolian Workers Create Efficient Technology!
It is no secret that Denolia is extremely underdeveloped compared to the rest of the world, at least technologically speaking. The government has been striving for a homegrown approach to industrialization, as to increase the quality of life and productiveness of the Denolian working class and economy.
As a result of this focus on homegrown innovation, the federal government has been massively investing into cooperatives who promise to do just that.

It seems that it has paid off in one case, with a small workers’ cooperative, The Źyergen Valley Company (note, źy in the Denolian language is pronounced like J in the English language), in the far reaches of the Bergentál Region creating a system of pulleys and roped to hoist grain and other objects across the various ravines, canyons, and the other various formations of the Bergentál mountains.
Although it probably wouldn’t impress many outside of Denolia, the invention has been met with great enthusiasm and attention in Denolia. The pulleys would massively shorten the time it takes to transport grain from the mountainous farms and windmills of the Bergentál Region to the rest of Denolia, giving the potentially to drastically improve the Denolian quality of for those who are not as close in vicinity to such huge farms.

The government has already rewarded and praised the ŹyVC extensively, giving the small business generous grants of money and even some private land for its members. The government has vowed to implement the system at a grander scale, so that the Windmill District, the informal name given to an area dense in windmills and grain farms, is better connected to the rest of Denolia.

Much ado about Communism
It’s likely that those who follow Denolian news know about the drama between the anti-authoritarian, reformist Democratic Communist Party and the authoritarian, revolutionary Revolutionary Communist Party.
Recently, it was announced that RCPD leadership would be put on trial for allegation of organizing violence against DCPD members. However, in the process of organizing the trial, the RCPD has already been cannibalizing itself in the face of the drama. Much of the RCPD deny that there is any violence happening at the orders of the RCPD, while some have condemned the violence, going on to split and form the Denolian People’s Revolutionary Communist Party (DPRCP).
The DPRCP also believes in a revolutionary path to communism, outside of the operations of the government, they more-so believe in direct action, strikes, and “acting as a source of agitation and education for the working class” rather than a rapid, violent Revolution.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Communist Party of Denolia (the anti-authoritarian, reformist, pro-government communist party) has been growing massively as a result of the drama. Combined with RCPD members defecting to the DCPD, and increase attention and sympathy towards the DCPD, they have been experiencing rapid growth in membership and polling, and are likely to be a major force in the coming midterm election.

After one representative went to the headquarters of the TDCP. The President and the Congress have made a decision: They would be willingly joining the MSTO, if possible, and TDCP. They were also eyeing in the east of the Continent, a country named Sarayevka. The Republic of Santana is thinking of joining the nation as a state, with its own government the same but part of the Tsardom of Sarayevka. President Naxalxy, looking at his people, suffering from an ongoing Civil War, a war to fight for democracy, suffering from the Massacres Exsorcial has the MiniStab Agents sent to them.

Suddenly, soldiers, complete with supplies and fighter squadrons from an unknown nation came, he knew it must be sent by the TDCP (The mikalan empire), and he was right, his prayers have been fulfilled, the war must go on.

Troop Movements
Recently, it has been noted that forces of the Imperial Russian Army have been moving throughout the country towards the border of its Communist neighbor, the USLR. Only today is it finally revealed why, as the Chancellor has issued a warning that unless Lunnia recognizes the secession of the Republic of Santana from the ULSR (the potential integration of Santana into Sarayevka will be discussed at a later date), Sarayevka will have no choice but to intervene on Santana's side. The Chancellor hopes the international community will either assist Sarayevka in helping secure the independence of Santana from the communists, or at the very least remain neutral. The Imperial navy prepares to wrest control of the seas from the potential enemy while air defenses are brought up to high readiness around the nation. Radar coverage at the border has increased significantly, as more AA systems are moved up and AW&Cs begin flying with sorties to ensure coverage.

"Imperialism. This is what the Befasia claims are. At least the ones involving militaries, such as those of Lunnia and Kiamai. Imperialism for a barren land of snow and ice. Like Mr. Petrović previously mentioned few days go, only claims for science and research should stay, as the rest are only claims made to quench empires' thirst for conquest. Conquest of land not fit for colonization nor war.

And we have seen what happens when there is war in Befasia. Nature ruined by a nuclear disaster. A situation so bad that the nations of the world had to come together to stop the nuclear waste from going any further. A situation that shows the problems with claims that have armies in them. Armies guarding what?

Nothing. Nothing but snow, ice, and nature. Things that do not need to be tampered with, and are definitely not places that should become a battlefield.

So I hope everyone in this congress realizes one thing- empires' thirst for land is unquenchable.

And overall, I re-iterate what Mr. Petrovich spoke about several days ago- that while the Mikalans approve of claims for the sake of science and research, claims that exist for the sake of more land or colonies should be considered illegitimate and should be revoked immediately, to create a haven for science, nature, and a symbol of leaving the imperialist past behind for a prosperous peace.
