Have I gone to far with my policies?
I enforce capitol and corporal punishment and compulsory military service.
I react to increased trade tariffs with my navy and some of my airforce.
I don't have that good political freedom or rights either.
(There is much more, I just prefer not writing a whole essay)

That sounds like something to be proud of.

Guys when will Valsora be updating?

Skyrim Stuff:

Orcish Armor has served me well for a while (most of the playthrough actually, I've been wearing Orcish Armor since Whiterun).

However while smithing jewelry to sell for money, I have hit smithing 80.
Add to that, I have been picking up some prices of Ebony Armor from Draugr Deathlords.
So I think it's finally time for an armor upgrade upon my next level up.

There is no set date. They’ll get it out when they can.

Restoration of Eastern Kaiserreich wrote:

There once lived a great King whose power was only less than that of the spirits in the land. One day, his wife fell sick and her doom was certain. The King spent many evenings weeping in his garden until he was visited by a spirit one night. An old, ancient serpent had heard his cries. Quickly, he bowed to the great creature.

“Oh, you old serpent! For what purpose do you visit? Have you come as an avatar of death?”

The serpent shook his head. “No,” he answered. “Your wife will die in three days. But I have appeared to offer an exchange for her life”

The King grew hopeful. “Offer your terms. I will satisfy each of them.”

“You hord much land and treasure. However, your greatest possession is your face. The sight which has made weaker Kings bow with your devoted subjects. It will become a tribute to me.”

Now the King grew weary. “For what purpose to you? Why must it be my face?”

“I have already explained. Your perception is of unmatched strength, but that is not true. Before me you are prey. This way you will be humbled and devoted.”

The serpent’s words shook the King. Yet his desperation outweighed his fear. He blamed his arrogance for his fate. “I will offer tribute here before you now!” The King ordered his servants to restrain him and remove his face. The flesh was then offered to the serpent and accepted.

“You have done well. I will save your wife and your people will know my dominion.” The serpent bit the King and healed him. His face remained disfigured, so he hid it for the rest of his life. Three days after that his wife recovered.

"... The world "val" in Easunian and has historically referred to the Havaluthen region. Its translations in Valish include realm, land, area, etc..."

". . . The appearance of Easunian Sovereign Javad Nazeri is distinct most notably because of his mask. But leaders like Reza Zangane and Albert Ferdinand (who never concealed their faces) are outliers. Masks have served an important custom of rulership all the way back to ancient Haval. Disturbingly accomplanied by self inflicted scarring of the face.

The idea here is that once a new Emperor ascends he loses his individuality. He lives solely for the sake of his people, his nation. So, he conceals his face to symbolize this fact. And this also ties into why he recieves a new name. What matters isn't who the Emperor is, but what he represents. Nothing against or outside his dynasty which was the House of Easario for centuries.

In the most extreme cases (especially during times of crisis), Emperors would scar their faces to emphasize this. Often in front of his subjects. Now this has led to several examples of emotional reconciliation and other touching interactions between Easunian Emperors and the people. And that's in spite or actually rather because of how morbid it is. He woulf wear his scar out in the open until his people deemed him worthy enough to conceal it.

Now, the tale of the Serpent and the King is one of the oldest texts in Havaluthen. One of the oldest in the world. It's pretty short, but it's still tells a lot. It provides us one factor or explanation of how this part of Havalite, then Easunian culture developed. It's also possibly the first appearance of the demon Waiyaba. Now that is the most exciting part!"

Imagine being patient in 2024. Get with the times Flers.

Hot Takes with Breth: I don't think vocal fry is innately irritating to very many people. I think the standard "oh God, their voice is so annoying" thing is basically a Pavlovian response to all the deliberately annoying fictional characters whose voices include it in an exaggerated form.
