Lerasi wrote:POLITICAL PARTY TIME

Anyone and everyone can now submit different ideologies and/or political beliefs in the form of a new, rising political party in Lerasi. I reserve the right to reject them, but I won't use this power very often.

>

Leader: Matthew Herrman, Chancellor of Lerasi

Short History: Originally a party from Ruseniya, the avid capitalists of Lerasi and the highly industrializing lands of Armonica took a fast liking to the ideology, and gradually formed the Industrialist Party. With guidance from the Ruseniyan Industrialist Party, the Industrialists of Lerasi grew into their ideology to become a powerful political party. During the First Congressional Election, the Progressive Technocrat Party, an old party focusing on the ideas og progress and science, choose to join forces with the Industrialist Party in a Bloc that eventually merged the two parties together as two forms of the PITAL, the Technocrats and the Industrialists. The Industrialists still held power over the entire Party, though.

Beliefs: More or less centrists with strong ideals on Capitalism and Anti-Communism, with strong emphasis on industrialization and profit. The economy and trade relations are the top priority of this party, although they continue to advocate progress, safety, and justice at home as well.

Ideology: Centrist Technocratic Capitalism

Support: Major corporations and businessmen have taken a liking to this ideology, and entire companies soon followed before the attraction was great enough to become a great and powerful party.

Seats in the House of Representatives:

Leader: General Theodore Alderman

Short History: The Alderist Party was formed when Sovereign Louis Alderman reformed the government to make it more democratic. Ideals of meritocracy and democracy were enshrined in this party's values. Militarism was also a key component to keeping the peace and deposing unjust dictators. This was tried and tested as Alderist Loyalists helped the Strategic Coordinator secure power as regent and then as Sovereign, putting down rebellions and bring the country under a new order. Freedom was advocated, and Alderman followed through. The Honorite Party was originally formed after the San Sierran elections, when Honorism as an ideology grew in traction. This party was well loved, bringing the traditional ideas of patriotism, militarism, nationalism, and honor, while also mixing in some of the Meritocratic values that built Lerasi. The Katenalist Party was started by some powerful families in Lerasi after The new wisconsin empire, where the ideology originated, became allies with Lerasi. This party gained traction among prominent families, and eventually adopted Meritocratic ideals, like most ideologies do once they come into contact with the Lerasian peoples. This morphed into a form of Katenalism where families could prove themselves to become nobility, which contrasted a lot of the restrictive hierarchical views of Katenalism. After this reform, the party became more and more popular, becoming a force to be reckoned with. These three parties came together under a single banner in the First Lerasian Congressional Election, when the Fascist Party, the second place leaders in the election convinced the three, along with the Hispanic Nationalists and the Fortians, that the only way to beat the FCR's startling lead was through a bloc. This bloc dominated the election for some time until the FCR caught up and surpassed them. After the FCR was found guilty of rigging the elections, the bloc dissolved, due to the lack of a common enemy. The Katenalists, Honorites, and Alderists, however, stayed together as part of a new bloc, the Lerasian Democratic Honorite Party. This bloc evolved into a full on merger and the leader of the new party took the name "Honoratus Alneus Dominatus" to represent the Alderists and the Honorites equally in the name. The Katenalists, while not included in the name, still have a heavy influence on the faction.

Beliefs: Nationalist Bloc between the Honorites, the Katenalists, and the Alderists. The Honorites are Nationalist-Militarists who believe in the value of the state and the individual strengths that contribute to and make up the state. Most wish to bring about a government similar to the original government of Lerasi. Katenalists believe that some Families are Higher, and some Families are Lower, and they must work together, despite the manifest truth that Higher Families are still superior to Lower Families. Can be paired with a lot of other ideologies except Communism. This party originated in the New Wisconsin Empire. The Alderists value nationalism and diplomacy as well as strong economic ties. At home, the government is run with a balanced mix of Monarchist, Democratic, and Meritocratic values. The HADL incorporates Katenalist policies and Honorite policies into the original Alderist beliefs to unify the faction more, and these policies have shaped the current government of Lerasi greatly.

Ideology: Nationalist-Militarist Democracy

Support: Many of the common folk see Louis Alderman as a liberator, and the values of honor and freedom that the party advocates are enticing to many people throughout Lerasi. The Katenalist influence also opens up the party to the rich and powerful who wish to be labelled nobility.

Seats in the House of Representatives:

Leader: General Matthias Rall

Short History: The LNFP is one of the oldest parties in Lerasi. Fascists held 18 seats in Congress when Alderman first organized the Congress, due to their inherent popularity. Their popularity almost won the election as they were the front runners for some time among the non-FCR parties. Blocing with the Fortians, Alderists, Honorites, Katenalists, and Hispanic Nationalists, the LNFP had a good chance of winning the election before the FCR's votes got out of hand. When PITAL merged the Industrialists and the Technocrats, the LNFP was struggling, but the worst blow was when their Bloc fell apart as the Fortians and Hispanic Nationalists went back to become independent parties and the Alderists, Honorites, and Katenalists formed the HADL. They lost ten seats in that election, but Rall is cunning, and he is almost certainly devising a plan to put the Nationalist-Fascists back in power.

Beliefs: Authoritarian Ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy

Ideology: Far Right Fascism

Support: The great support for the LNFP got them ahead in the early parts of the First Congressional Election, and their support just grew stronger with time as passionate speeches and heated debates won over many political opponents.

Seats in the House of Representatives:

Leader: Governor Franz Klein of Onrus

Short History: The Federationist ideology evolved from the independence seeking regions in the Kampf Empire who wanted more autonomy. This ideology leaked into Lerasi through Reformed Tyrist immigrants, who brought ideas from Kampfia along with their families. This party calls to bring back a Federation similar to the original state of Lerasi when the United Republics of Lerasi brought the RTK, the Lerasian Republic, Republica Doloro, and the Free City of Vindholm together. The Federationist Party grew in popularity among state officials, who longed for more freedom, and more power.

Beliefs: Federationists believe in a strong union of mostly autonomous territories, united under a strong federal leader that they elect to make national decisions such as wars, but one that delegates power mostly to the territories themselves.

Ideology: Federationism

Support: The Federationists have secured Statio Aestas, Ackert, and Onrus as part of their party, but still have heavy influence in the other states.

Seriously, give that video a watch. It's pretty cool. The guy has about 28 video essays and I've only watched like four or five but so far they're pretty good. And this one in particular is a testament to the ability to go from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm until you reach your destination.
