Rant:

I just saw an article from the Wired telling that INSECT FARMING is cruel. Insect farming. Insect F*CKING farming. Most insects don't even live for more than a month. And they don't even feel pain. Yet it's cruel? People need to stop trying to find things to offended about. Being angry about racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and legitimate things is good. But INSECT FARMING. That too, this "farming" is for the use of insects for fodder. Animals eat insects regularly. It's the main source of food for many amphibians and other animals. It's not unnatural for animals to eat insects. In the article, even they mention that use of insects as fodder can help climate change. And you know how they try to guilt trip you? "inSheKTs have NOshiSheptors aNd Hensh feew pane". You cannot feel pain without a brain that is programmed to detect and respond to pain receptors. Their entire argument is purely feelings and crying cruelty. They try to equate mealworms to dogs and chimps. I just hate it. The Wired is a terrible news outlet.
