The bills have been withdrawn. I submit bill 6a to be debated as well as senate bill 5. Let us debate until 5/23, and vote on the morning/afternoon of 5/24

On a side note, how is trade federation the minority party leader when all other parties also have 1? Wouldn't they all be minority party leaders then?

The Kingdom of Winchester wrote:I didn't move them, I put them to both so they could be debated and voted concurrently. I'm not so crass to not allow my colleagues the chance to put in their votes and opinions. Amend away, change them, hack them to bits and we'll send the agreed upon bill back to the house. I wanted all chambers imput

If the bills pass in the House, yet fail in the Senate then we will have wasted time. There's no need for a rush anyways, we can take a few days to propose a bill, and then give it proper time to be debated, amended, then sent to the other chamber.

My apologies as well, I'm used to no one talking in the senate, and tend to allow the debate or vote in the house. I'm sure you understand when no one contributes, you can expect someone to forget procedures.

I haven't been active here because no one else really is, to tell you the truth. As long as you message all the senators about proposed bills and for us to vote on them; then I can promise you that I'll do my part and be active.

I've been pretty active tbh.

Senate Bill 7: move to cut the direct election of ministers, and replace them with appointments by the prime minister/ chief executive. The debate begins and will end on wednesday 5/24.

In my mind, I understand why certain people would like appointments to cabinet-level positions. But our region is unique in that we elect our ministers, and I believe we should continue to do so.

I urge my colleagues to vote against S.R. 7

You can also amend, debate, and not just call for an outright no vote.

I motion to amend the bill to allow the appointment of the Role Play Director only.

I amend the amendment to include foreign policy ministers. As foreign policy must remain above popular feelings.

The senate bill 7b:
Move to cut the direct election of foreign policy and role playing ministers and replace them by appointment of the executive and confirmed by the senate. As foreign policy must be conducted in a manner that is above today's public opinion.
The debate begins 5/25, and ends 5/27. Vote will colmence on 5/27

The debate has been closed. Voting now will commence. And close on 5/28

Senate Reconstruction Bill:
An immediate bill that is in house only to expell the two inactive senators Northern and Formerland.
It is my personal position that we should hold a snap election to elect 2 new. Active senators.

Aye

Goddamn it finally

Finally. Is it okay if we put bill 7b up? The amended amendment? No one got back to me or debated for days. It won't pass. I just don't want to pull it again. It allows appointment of RP and foreign directors.

Senate Bill of Higher Access:
A.In order to Increase Political Freedom and the ability to run, this bill will eliminate the membership requirements for the creation of new parties.

B.It also introduces a formal fusion endorsement/nomination requirement when the candidate is put up for a vote it will have the abbreviation of all endorsed parties attached.
Similar to New York State's Cross Party nomination ability. A candidate can run on as many tickets as they like.

C. As people often run and win for pure party vote this bill also requires that if a sitting Senator/House member or executive changes party in their term, they must run in a snap election as not to abuse the party vote.

Debate opens 5/29 and will close on 5/31. Vote will occur 5/31

I'd support it only for RP Director.

Foreign policy and judicial matters need to remain above popular opinion.thats ridiculous that you would insinuate otherwise.

I try to be as active as I possibly can but I see little point in passing bills in a senate which isn't full. It would also be hypocritical to have a snap election due to the fact that Formerland and I are the only two remaining senators who were elected, to my knowledge, the rest of the senators were appointed by the parties of the previous senators (correct me if I'm wrong).
Also, I do not know where to vote on bills, could someone please direct me to that place?

There is no process for quorum. If they pass. They pass. And there is no problem with a snap election. I'll face election soon enough.

Current as there are only 5 of us. We can vote right here? That's why I put in days worth of time to debate and vote

I also telegram people telling them of votes. So I have taken all available steps short of doing nothing and letting things stay stagnant I'm not sure what you'd like me to do.

Senate Bill 8:
Reelection of all current senators.
Would immediately put up all sitting senators for election to diminish the party placement factor (I.e. Party appointment)

Former land and Northern have been voted out of office.
