Cronyism? In russia? Imagine that!

And duplicitous machinations too, apparently, with the withdrawn endorsement. In honor of a nation named Russian owned Norway being delegate of the region, let's briefly review one of the evil empire's (many, many) lesser known genocides -- the mass expulsion and internal dispersion of over half a million Kola Norwegians in 1940.

In the mid 19th century, the russian tsar invited Norwegians to settle along the Arctic coast of the Kola Peninsula. Hundreds of thousands came and developed fishing villages in this frontier region. Then in 1940, Stalin and Beria forcibly deported and scattered the entire ethnic Norwegian population further inland. Despite their loyal service during WWII, they were never allowed to return to their homes and remained exiled and separated, such that within two generations, more than 95% of these populations lost their Norwegian identity and were linguistically and culturally assimilated into the russian ethnos.

Ethnic cleansing, linguicide, forced assimilation, terror, repression -- these have forever been the entire basis of the russian nation. A "Slavic" people that will violently gobble up any population they can get their hands on -- I've often wondered if the Borg from Star Trek were based on the genesis of the "russian" people.

You man, love the fact that you know this

Kudos to you and now I own this scheme, still, I made this nation in reference to that, loved the fact you saw it instantly

Very well said.

That is extremely interesting, Buttstan. Thank you

Otherwise, at the very least, Alexei Navalny did not have to see Putin get "elected" in to office again

Bleak O.o

What can i say? The bleakness of Russian politics rub off on me.

Here, on page 215
I found an interesting conversation made by this isolationist piece of work named Galaad. They say that Russia is a noble state. They ran in to some debating opposition after a region asked if Russia should be taken out of the UN security counsel.
Enjoy

The terror attacks in Moscow are heartbreaking. The west warned Moscow that the attacks would happen, but they dismissed it as "blackmail". Then the deadly attacks actually happened and Moscow decided to exploit the attacks to blame Ukraine and the west, despite ISIL-K shouting at the top of their heads that they did it on their own.
