We have recently been researching the creation of a certain protein composition that seems to melt the protein shelling of the illness and expose it to the body, allowing the Immune System to more effectively fight against Pyro25. But it is still debated how it will target the virus specifically in the body.

Uberio has no reported cases so far. Perhaps, it can't survive very long in cold tempuratures, seeing how it must've come from the tropical regions of Achias. Either way, Uberian Congress has noted that, being the most technologically advanced, we shall allow our best scientists, as well as any other international scientists free travel, in order to study this virus, and find a cure. in the mean time, all international trips have been shut down, EXCEPT for Aiporhtse and Ashwood Donner. These two nations have been given an exception. The borders can still close at any time. more news will come out soon.

Corsiantia's fishing industries have an international reach, the Infectious disease teams have notified all Fisheries and companies of the symptoms of the Pyro pathogen within fish and humans, this has lead to very little unhealthy fish being caught at least within our borders.

The Pyrovirus is adapted to thrive in warmer sea's as proven with its beginnings in the hot waters of the Persian Gulf and Indian ocean. It is not adapted to extreme cold temperatures within our waters internal waters.
The Southern parts of the Atlantic and Caribbean like waters around Bermuda have been prohibited from fishing.

The Northern waters of the Hudson Bay, the Eastern Seaboard, St Lawrence River and the Great Lakes have no cases of Pyrovirus currently and the latter is impossible to infect due there distance and geographical features separating it from the ocean.

However we have heard rumours of fisherman and companies continuing to sell products abroad illegally that they cannot sell within Corsiantia that are suspected may have traces of Pryovirus within the fish.

I would like to request Tubrita that you identify the fisherman or company which sold out the fish and my authorities will deal with them.

PYROVIRUS PANDEMIC
Pandemic spreads across the world both on land and at sea

20/11/1924 | by The National Health Service and the Corsiantian Government

A horrific sight of a Achias Sports Center converted into Hospital due to being overwhelmed by thousands of suffering patients

A new disease discovered in the Nakua province in Achias Australia only two, it is currently known as as Pyrovirus, is wrecking havoc across the world, this may be the start of the biggest Pandemic the world has witness since the Bubonic Plague.
The Disease is known as "Pyro" due to its current observable symptoms which include inflammation, severe fiery rashes, lymph nodes in the final stages, intense sweating, shivering and a severe fever and these symptoms to the unaware observer seem to resemble heat exhaustion.
It was the codename given by Achias Doctors to describe the "sunburns" that doctors first observed during the discovery of this new disease. How does it spread?
The patient zero of this new disease is currently unknown to Corsiantia and the wider world however it is presumed to be a selection of smaller coastal towns outside the city of Darwin in the Nakura province of Achias on the island of Australia.

The Australian Continent, The Red Circle indicating the area that first detected human Pyrovirus infections

The disease itself is currently known to originate from the consumption of various fish, however "its extreme infectivity and deadliness is currently unparalleled to all known marine diseases." said Marine Biologist Naomi Hunter from the Corsiantian Marine Conservation group.

The transmission is either through the consumption of fish infected with Pyrovirus or handling of infected fish if a open wound is present and is in contact with the infected fish.
The disease first spread to Humans via these means and similar ways of transmission apply to humans as well as the disease is transmissible between humans as well.
Any contact of an infected persons bodily fluids, this can be through particles in the air by Coughing due to either the swelling of the airways or the infection of the lungs or simple breathing in an enclosed and unventilated room for a long period of time.

Proper Masks and Rubber gloves should be worn when dealing with the infected Persons.

Symptoms Include.

Burning rash
Infection of the lungs
Migraines
Swelling of the lymph nodes
Chill/body achesFever (Possible Severe Mood Swings)Increased body temperature over 40 C
Swelled up throat
Coughing
Severe Sweating
Abdominal pain.
Lowered Oxygen in Blood causing tiredness.
If the subject does not recover they will eventually die from organ failure, usually the lungs or brain.

These symptoms can appear in as little as 1-4 days after infection and can last between 1-5 weeks depending on the persons age, health and previous medical conditions leaving them with a poor immune system
.
Research is currently ongoing to whom is most effected by this disease.

It is currently unknown if someone can be an asymptomatic carrier of the Pyrovirus, due to there currently being no ways of officially identifying this disease through testing at this current time.

Current projections show its mortality rate without treatment as 12.5% making it an extremely deadly disease, it has caused mass die offs in fish and will cause a severe blow to fish populations within tropical environments and is likely to halt all fishing industries within infected areas.
Identifying infected fish is very simple, if the Fish has severe rashes across its scales, small bumps or loss of scales is already chocking or is already dead.

DO NOT EAT IT.
NOTIFY LOCAL INFECTION DISEASE TEAMS WHO WILL DISPOSE OF IT PROPERLY.

All fishing boats that catch any infected fish must consider its catch compromised must hand over any infected fish to the local authorities for destruction or identify any cases of Pyrovirus that potentially may be in circulation.

If this happens an Emergency Alert System will be broadcasted over radio and TV channels or notified by or local community official.

Infected Areas

Currently there are no infected fishing areas inside of Corsiantian controlled seas, however with Fish migration patterns changing every season this is likely to change.
Fishing is now banned in any international waters outside of Corsiantia, this is due to the Pyrovirus being adapted to tropical waters and therefore not being suited to colder climates and waters along our coasts and in the Great Lakes.

Currently, the only nations with infected persons are Achias, Deneen and Ashwood Donner and the banning of travel to and from those places unless you are a citizen of Corsiantia on a returning trip and you will be put under quarantine for 5 weeks if you show any form of symptoms before being allowed back home.

Any fish bought internationally should not to be consumed, all fish put through factories are now being meticulously searched by employees before being sold, if you suspect a fish is infected with Pyrovirus or you have consumed an infected fish, report it.

Corsiantian Quarantine Efforts

5 days ago a wealthy Achias family (who have requested they remain unnamed) of two parents and three children attempted to travel through Ashwood Donner by train and arrived at a border control station in the town of Douglas in the outer territory (No province has been allocated the land yet) known as Eastern Wyoming and both decided to stay the night as the train to take them to the international marvel that is New York through a more scenic route.

Sadly for them, they began to show symptoms of Pyrovirus and the family, the passengers of the train and the town they were residing in were now potentially infected.

The town of Douglas (with a population of 1000 people) had to be put into emergency quarantine, this turned out to be a correct decision by the Mayor of Douglas who alerted the National Guard and the National Health Service to the presence of Pyrovirus immediately.

He has been congratulated for his quick and decisive thinking and successfully established a quarantine of the town and saving many lives.
Unfortunately some were not so lucky, the towns local bartender Frank Duran who had contracted Pyrovirus died only two days after infection due to his age and lung condition which makes him the fist confirmed death of a Corsiantian at the hand of this disease.

Due to the seriousness of the ongoing quarantine, his body was taken to the Imperial science institute at his families request for research into the nature of this vicious disease.

Infectious Disease teams

Milwaukee Police performing a Quarantine training exercise to the wonder of onlookers.

Infectious Disease teams were officially established as a subsection of the Corsiantian Army and National Health service to monitor, control and enforce Quarantine Zones while also handling infected persons. Though there current use is limited, due to the lack of infections within Corsiantia, they are a key role to play in handling the infection.

Working with the Ministry of Homeland Security, they can identify if you have been in the presence of a known infected person if there is one within your community.

Please comply with there orders and advise on the nature of the infection, some patrol or enforcement units may be armed. Do not worry as this for your own protection and the protection of others.

Advice

Call 111 for the National Health Service to notify them of possible Pyrovirus infection and Infectious disease teams as well as Doctors and Nurses will be sent to help your community.
If you suspect you yourself are infected, you should wear an allocated Mask approved by the authorities and self isolate for a period of 2-5 weeks until all symptoms subside.

Read factbook

Took me awhile but the Pyrovirus Newspaper is finally out.

Tell me what you think if I could make any improvements.

A significant breakthrough in the fight against pyro25 has been discovered, a Tubritan scientist at the cure center made the temperature of a room -27 Fahrenheit and a citizen infected with pyro25 was placed in the room with the virus quelling and going away, however shorty after they left the room the virus returned.

The Corsiantia wrote:We have found people showing symptoms of Pyrovirus in the Dakota Territory border.

They were immigrants from Australian Achias and had travelled through Ashwood Donner and they stayed there for two weeks after they arrived.

Thankfully they were caught, the Guards who interacted with them and all people who immigrated with them were quarantined just in case as well as two surrounding towns.

It is technically the first case in Corsiantia and thankfully it was successfully contained.

However Corsiantia is considering the closure of the Ashwood Donner border due to unknown and undocumented cases of Pyrovirus arriving in Ashwood Donner from Achias.

National Guard and Border Patrol troops located in the Ashwood Donner border have been supplied with Hazmat Gear including masks and decontamination spray.

Corsiantia is currently asking Achias for any means of identifying Pryovirus through testing rather than just symptoms as they reportedly vary from person to person.

We will be closing our borders and are encouraging proper sanitary procedures to prevent any outbreaks.

I still don't know what's going on help

Deneen wrote:Deneen has encountered it’s first case. Panic ensues on the coast of the Persian Gulf as a common fisherman in the community collapses in the streets. He seemed to be bleeding from his rashes. Konsey police had to intervene as his wife and children tried to interact with him, dragging them away to prevent further exposure. It is assumed that the consumption of infected seafood caused his death.

Marine life has been taken in to be researched at Deneenian virology centers, showing how the virus kills its host. It reproduces through the cell, expands it, and once it’s finished eats the cells nutrients and oxygen to help preserve its DNA for longer periods of time, leading to the internal bleeding, inflammation, and lower oxygen in the blood. For now, Aslan Bayrak takes full initiative to research and fairly distribute the cure to all nations.

And for this cause asks to partner with all countries, despite past conflicts, to save lives. We formally request to work with Achias in this matter.

Anyway thanks for putting my Newspaper on the Main Nova Britannia Prima page, it means a lot as I put a lot of effort into them.

If anyone actually wants a story you can telegram me but the PyroVirus one is going to be the main subject for at least awhile considering it's only in the beginning stages.

After putting a pyro25 infected fish into the freeze room and the virus has permanently disappeared leading the scientists to believe that they could find a cutoff point to remove the virus from the human body.

ooc/ its been a little quiet recently, please answer the poll if you wish and if you want just tell me what you put.

I don't mind what you put its just to get a grasp lore wise what you think of The Corsiantia to help me in future writings.

That is pretty cool, did you ride up any Sand Dunes with your quadbike? That's something I always wanted to do.

Tubrita wrote:After putting a pyro25 infected fish into the freeze room and the virus has permanently disappeared leading the scientists to believe that they could find a cutoff point to remove the virus from the human body.

Well Corsiantian Scientists have used this on a certain infected corpse and infected fish found near Achias.

It turns out that extremely cold temperatures does in fact kill Pyrovirus at over -18°C if sustained for 60 hours straight.
This is a very good way of clearing Pyrovirus from infected fish and many environments seen to have been making a swift recovery.

However the human body temperature has to be maintained at 37.7°C at a consistent rate

Due to the body heat of a human and fish the virus can sustain itself and will live on in a patients body if it maintains that temperature.

Freezing somebody to the temperature of a typical Freezer for over 60 hours and getting there body temperature low enough to kill the virus will also kill the infected person.

Thus a vaccine will be needed to cure anyone infected with the human strain, which my current estimates reach as high as 180,000 across the world which is mainly in Achias due to being ground zero for PyroVirus.

We are currently working on a vaccine, however the good news is that fishing markets in colder waters has officially been proven safe by Tubrita scientists and my fishing industry can finally recover after a year since Pryovirus.
