As they ascended, the first police cars began arriving, with officers already coming out to the strange sight of the wrecked rental. Perhaps it was good fortune that it was destroyed, because it drew most of the attention. There wouldn't be any officers looking towards the group climbing up the stairs of a nearby apartment building. For now, at least.
Still, there was no guarantee that'd last forever, and the evidence around the building may lead them to investigate further.

"So what's the plan if they start looking?"

So far it was a usual day at the weekly market of Matthew Town, the main and only settlement on the island. Each week, about one third of the island's population would gather on Market Square at Matthew Town Dock, the island's only connection to the rest of the Kingdom besides the airport, haggling for groceries and other household items and, for the most part, minding their own business. Even though it was only around 10 o'clock in the morning, which was already late by the market's standards since most vendors were already opening their booths as early as 4 o'clock to avoid the heat spoiling their food, the scorching sun was already heating up the atmosphere and the concrete pavement at full blast. Some already began packing up leftover items for the next week, or giving away groceries for free to friends and family as to not let them go to waste.

Suddenly, a muffled sound in the distance. Did it sound like... a bomb detonating? A wave of uneasiness coursed through the crowd at Market Square, when suddenly the lighthouse's horn could be heard. The lighthouse keeper must have seen something. As some people started pacing towards the lighthouse located about three kilometers south of the market. As they passed the former National Trust Office, a car came speeding towards them. The vehicle decelerated sharply to avoid crashing into the crowd, and upon stand-still, the lighthouse keeper got out of the car pointing his arms in the direction of where the sound came from.

"A crash! A big plane crashed on Little Inagua!", he shouted out of breath. "Get motorboats ready, and inform the Chief!"

People did as he said and rushed back to Market Square and the harbor. The lighthouse keeper got back into his Jeep and rushed off into the opposite direction to reach the harbor area at the opposite end of the island. There he kept his boat tethered to a dock he constructed himself a few years back. He got into his motorboat and started the engine. As the boat started moving, some other boats were arriving at the southern end of Little Inagua as well. Looking through his binoculars, he saw figures moving around the crash site.

Thank God they survived, the keeper thought.

The figure he saw moving around the crash site would seemingly be a variety of birds seeming to be landing close by what could be seen through his own Binoculars, while the smokestack prevented him from getting a good look at what had crashed with a shift in the direction of the wind his eyes would now seem to land upon an almost extraterrestrial shaped craft, not in tradition to any type of ship neither interstellar or naval nor in typical fashion to the conventional stereotypes of a flying Saucer either.

What remained, face first into a mound of pushed up dirt and soil was a craft almost organic in appearance, smoke billowing out of it's apparent "Holes" and with a noticeable cockpit located upon the top now cracking and filled with a white-smoke now with a figure within seeming to be smashing and banging at the glass of it attempting to get out, and it's attempts of escape would prove to be beneficial as soon enough the glass would break and with it a strange-Humanoid figure would depart from it.

Slender and tall with a noticeable red tint to it's Skin only to stumble and fall upon the ground on it's successful attempt to get out, only to lay there seeming to be unconscious or dead unable to tell from the distance of the condition of the figure.

And also if you had to draw a little blood to get your point across, so be it.

As she walked into town, she was thankful she had Gambol Shroud on her back. Not she couldn’t take care of herself but blades definitely struck more fear into people than fists, or maybe even guns. Now then...who’s gonna be the first one to call out the weird cat girl?

Argiros suddenly felt...calm. Perhaps the Queen had released pheromones that were subconsciously manipulating him to feel at ease. Maybe Queen Zivia providing a name humanized her in his eyes. Either way, the anthropologist felt more confident with the task at hand.

“Your majesty, your people seem to be thankfully mistaken. While much destruction was had over a century ago, the people rose up against their warmongering governments and the decades of anarchy that followed thankfully kept the damage to a relatively repairable level. Better yet, certain nations such as my own stayed out of the conflict and braced through the years of isolation from the outside world as best they could. Humanity has now gotten itself back on its feet and has even branched branches out into the stars to mitigate the chances of another collapse of our species.” Argie said with gusto.

“Queen Zivia, my nation seeks to form a partnership with your people. The Yonai have a particular set of skills that could be quite useful and we believe such a relationship can be equally beneficial for both parties. On a personal level, I wish to study the ways of your people.”

The mission was suicidal, usually 6 Space Marines do not come back from each mission. Given that once they are done with the mission they will have to get to the pod from where they came in and land into the atmosphere or get tracked down while floating around in space, hopefully if their oxygen level is high enough or if the gas tanks inside their armor don't get damage, their is a certain probability that they may be rescuers alive.

Destiny: "Staff Sergeant Eclipse, oh I'm delighted that finally you are able to fight!"

Eclipse: "Yeah I'm glad too, though I would be more delighted if it were Organics that we fought and not machines, I would've liked to suck the blood out of them but oh well, this shall do," she replied. She of course is a Revian.

Now what was a Revian doing on a Kurin Corvette? The Confederacy is a "Democratic" nation led by Kurin's who were genetically redesigned using Revian genes though made them more docile and still 'beautiful' to fit the savage needs of those that purchased them as domestic slaves or comfort women. So there were a close bond between them except for the fact that they still have quarrels with each other.

People in the Confederacy fled their factions in search of a new and peaceful life. At least one that didn't mean serving under the Empire. And thus many people went in search of opportunities in the Confederacy. Though not all is well in the nation as it is still led by Kurin's in the government.

“Captain, an enemy transport has just entered the hangar!”

Ozzel couldn’t believe it. They were actually trying to take the ship. “Lock down the hangar and send reinforcements down there if necessary. If they want a true fight we’ll give them one.”

The space marines would be met with resistance as Ventuan troops took up defensive positions.

Crash Landing, Pt. 2
Little Inagua | State of The Bahamas | United Antillean Kingdom

The lighthouse keeper jumped out of his boat and tethered it to one of the docks of Little Inagua. He tried to get everyone's attention to explain his plan of action.

"The plane crashed right there at the coast, we can get there by foot. Try to see if there are survivors, some please hurry back and bring 919!"

Surprisingly enough, people really did as he said. They hurried towards the aircraft, some carrying tools, some bandages. As they reached the aircraft, the keeper noticed that something was... off. The craft was not made of metal but seemed rather organic and on top of it a glass dome, which must have served as the cockpit. From within, he was able to discern a person trying to smash the glass to get out of the smoke-filled cockpit.

Suddenly, the glass broke and a figure emerged from it, but whatever it was, it was not human. The figure fell off the craft, face first into the soil. Due to the alien appearance of the figure, he hesitated. However, remembering the grave circumstances - an aircraft just crashed onto the ground from a high altitude, after all -, he suppressed his timidity and rolled the figure onto its back, propping up its legs in an attempt to have it regain consciousness.

"Someone, get me bandages and some water!"

While some carried bandages with them, no one seemed to have remembered to bring potable water. Not seeing the forest for the trees, it seems, the keeper thought. He bandaged the figure's wounded head and hands. Then, the figure's head started moving...

In his best British accent, he tried to communicate with the figure, even though he was afraid that it would not understand: "Hello? Can you hear me?"

Toppling the Establishment
Reykjavík | Icelandic Free State | United Antillean Kingdom

By the little island in the North Atlantic Ocean's standards, it was a brutal electoral campaign this year. This election is widely referred to as "jubilee election" as the 100th Althing was elected this year, and on top of that, it was a milestone in the history of Iceland: The liberal conservative government under Alþýðufylkingin (the People's Front), which was in charge for a whopping twelve terms, has finally been voted out of office.

In the last weeks preceding the election, the left-wing party Framsókn ("Progress") pulled ahead in the polls, making the ruling party only the second largest party for the first time in more than 30 years. As Governor-General Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson confirmed the results, it was now official that the People's Front was not going to constitute the next government. Together with Vinstri-Græn ("Left-Green") and Dögun ("Dawn"), Framsókn will be able to form a majority-coalition in Parliament, making Ragnar Ýrarson the next Prime Minister of Iceland.

The election was not only a milestone, but also a political U-turn: The conservative pro-capitalism establishment was now going to be replaced by a progressive welfare state.

As they spoke, the last of the police arrived to the scene, six or seven in total parked around the area. However, unbeknownst to everyone, there was another car approaching, only barely following the speed limit and weaving between cars in a frantic display of driving skill, something only the most capable driver would be able to do... or perhaps a driver with reaction times above that of a normal human.

The engine from their own ship wouldn't seem to do them any favors nor would their already fearful & Alert status as they passed through this second flag a figure could be seen standing further down holding a rifle, being one of the native inhabitants standing some seven feet tall in crimson red skin with the same color of the prior two flags seen across it's broad shoulders.

As for it's head, was devoid of hair or skin keeping in consistency with it's blackened boney frame and appearance with a difference of that of the eyes, narrow eyes similar to those of east-Asian decent yet unlike closing horizontal alike those around it, it's own eyes seemed to close vertically even as it would dot around and move it's head and eventually speak in a confused disoriented voice;

While the fighting raged on with 2 corvettes being lost, the screams of the crew in the bridge going as the ship lost control and either started to collapse with the fires overloading the carbondioxide and monoxide filters and suffocating the crew, or the ships losing air into space which also left them to suffocate. As 2 had been heavily damaged and needed repairs, 3 mildly damaged and 5 lightly damaged. It seemed as though it were a fleeting battle. Until the mechanoids launched a daring assault of several space fighters.

Valerie: "Radio HQ to send some exosphere and space fighters to help us."

Crewmen: "Aye aye Admiral,"

Meanwhile on the Nebula, the space marines breached the hangar.

Eclipse: "Alright marines, you have been waiting this fight though this fight won't be like any of the breaches we have done with marauders, we are up against machines that may be accurate, smart, and also hard to take down, I don't care if you miss your shots so long as you puncture holes in the enemies chest or on the walls of the ship. Now then, let's show them machines what marines are made of!"

Space Marines: "URA!" They said as one of them sitting near the exit of the pod threw a grenade out to clear the area and it detonated, the marines then quickly moved to cover full of adrenaline and didn't take much to notice the looks of their enemies until the fighting subdued. All of them carried assault rifles and used lead bullets to puncture holes into the enemies ship or crew.
