Here is my try :
This one is a tough one, writers almost always talk about the two same things, the blossoms and therefore all the nature around or they compare our human condition to winter waiting for spring to bring some sens in it. Lovers, well lovers….lovers feel like soulmates are born in spring, coming to life in all the blossoms and flowers. So they set themselves with fountain pens and old letters to print their love in a purpled cherry ink for and other human being. They will win or fail futur will tell. Then you got the white-collar type of guy, this kind never stop for nothing, that’s the kind of guy you often see run-walking the streets while you sitting in a bench enjoying the first notes of the spring. How does he knows that it’s spring ? Maybe his phone have tell him, or maybe his Starbucks coffee cup says so. Either way everything change at spring, everything turn from cold to warm, snow become rain and white turn green. All the colors of the summer sky are almost there, days got longer…..All wishes sounds like they will finally come true…
I guess that’s what I like about Spring, it’s not the nature coming back to life, it’s not all the colors of the trees or the animals showing up. It’s us…us who finally can’t stop living. And if tomorrow is another day, well let’s hope it will be at Spring..
In November 2002 I set upon a journey to change the life I was living into one of greater serenity and community. In the course of this path arose many barriers of fear and trepidation which included occasional rationalization of previous behaviors.
March 2003 was rather surreal with the onset of war in Iran and a peace movement that didn’t take hold. The movie “The Hours” made a huge impact upon my emotions while the book “The Four Agreements” refocused my direction of motion.
And so, on March 30, 2003, when my little plans and designs fell through, I felt a sense of peace that all would be ok and continued upon the path in earnest. Through acceptance, surrender, and action, my whole life has become a magnificent essence whereby I recognize the Universe’s manifestation in the words and deeds of others.
I now truly believe that my life is wonderful regardless of what I think or how I feel about it. For this gift I thank all of my friends and family.
