I’ve never understood why scene of destruction have such an effect on us as people. Objectively, it’s just a building, yet watching the live feed of the spire collapsing made me quite emotional.

I know, right? I couldn’t even begin to imagine how great a blow that is to the national psyche, to the pride of all of France. Imagine if we saw the Statue of Liberty in flames or the Golden Gate Bridge collapse. Heck, I’m not remotely French, and to hear the cries of Parisians as they saw it fall stirred something in me.

what kind of music do you guys like?

Classical all the way, unapologetically. Very little can really compare with Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, or Shostakovich.

I can see why some people enjoy it, but it feels like classical music is slowly droning on while contemporary music has got a fastness to it that I like more.

Uhmmm most recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Anthrax, but Sum 41 and FFDP are always staples to me for venting emotion.

I cringe whenever I talk to people about them cuz their name is honestly a little cringey. But I’ll be damned if their music isn’t amazing. I’ve also come to enjoy some Systems of a Down
