We're back online!

Switching back to this account for a bit for a message of gratitude to the admins.

We at the Liberty Democratic Alliance would like to thank the NationStates admins for taking time out of their day(s) in order to restore the game. It is genuinely appreciated. Thank you.

Now, this latest apocalypse was indeed an NS event. And it is good to know, as with Z-Day and N-Day, everything goes back to (or in this case, near) normal.

We are sooo back!

This outage has made me realize… I should probably make a backup of all my factbooks… just in case.

I completely forgot I had 'Union of Costa Rica Trading Cards' as my currency...should probably change that given the outage earlier...

Greetings!

After a long period with diplomatic relations interrupted, the Directorate of the Imperial Sanctuary is pleased that we have now re-established contact with all our diplomatic friends.

On behalf of the Directorate, the Department of Foreign Relations hereby sends an official greeting.

For prosperity, security and freedom!

Yours Sincerely,

Ah, much thanks!

We wish you and Imperial Sanctuary goodwill and mutual cheer betwixt our regions two.

Good morning lads, today on what's new, landlord is trying to charge me £2,700 of damages to his basement because my bathroom is leaking oh and he also thinks I am splashing water onto the floor intentionally, god i hate this country,

Anyway, how is everyone doing?

Landlords are one of the many reasons we are living during the terminal phase of humanity.

PM Election Season is set for May 1st, 2024. Election day begins on May 7th.
Until there are any reviews and new laws for term limits and regional elections, we still need a candidate to join for a Legislative Election poll to open. After the first poll, a Senator will be elected and the Senate will be open.

For our new arrivals...
Cailona and United States Of SoI, this region has a membership program. In order for your vote to be counted, you must be a member and remain for at least 15 days in this region.
Membership is obtained by joining the World Assembly or adding an external WA controller - this would be another nation in any other region which is (and must remain) in the World Assembly. Only members are allowed to be candidates and vote in elections, to prevent election fraud.

I was too busy to see what was going on here recently. But if someone is needed to take an office somewhere (Senate or anywhere else), tell me. I'm currently passing several exams, but the good news is that it also means the end of 2 years of very (excessively) intensive work and sacrifice on personal and social life. I may be able to be more active here again too.

Good idea, I may need to do it too. Even though most of them are a bit outdated or unfinished (a lot of change needed), there is still some work behind. And once I have more time, I might try to work on them again.

Someone turned off electricity for nine days…
Is Max even paying the bills? Lul.

On the brighter side, those were nine days which the WA was barred from passing legislation. That’s a win.

First time I come back and I don’t get spammed with telegrams telling me “Hello, please vote for X legislation that will do absolutely nothing to change gameplay”

I guess I can check “become a currency”off my bucket list..

The reason that I serve as a prime minister is to defend everyone from the onslaught of telegrams these lads send me so often.

Seems like an interesting bucket list. I wish you well with it!

NEW SYLVAN CELEBRATES BELTANE-MAY DAY

New Sylvan Town, 1 May 2024 - Beltane (moonrise of May Eve, ending on 1 May at sunset), or May Day on 1 May is a celebration of co-creation. This point on the Wheel of the Year we celebrate a joyous return of life to our land. The long dark Winter is a distant memory as we transition from Spring to Summer, half-way between spring equinox and summer solstice.

At this time, Mother Earth receives her annual infusion of life giving energy from her Divine Creator - a promise breathed into her from her beginning. Brother Sun continues to travel his increasingly longer path through the sky, caressing Earth's skin with his warm rays, longer each day. Earth and Sun dance together, and the land is lovingly held in warm embrace; life fluid flows through the throbbing veins of plant and animal.

This holiday's theme is love and commitment, featuring ChristoPagan collective handfasting, or multi-wedding ceremony. Two distinct customs are May Queen and May Pole. May Queen is represented in a procession celebrating the Divine Mother, Queen of Earth and Sky, which are purified toward fulfilment of her union with the Sacred Spirit, producing the Divine Child birthed come Yule. May Pole, symbol of male fertility posted in fertile female earth, is decorated with brightly coloured ribbons, around which New Sylvaners sing and dance. All is a celebration of fertility, colour, music and dance - all that is good in life.

Incomplete rough-concept for a commemorative flag for the region in honour of the fourth-year anniversary of LDA's founding in roughly two months. Subject to changes if I can make the flower look like a flame.

We need more members.

Just so I know for JEFF, does LDA want to continue to go after Gold in the Trade Fair within their own region or is doing so (as well as all the other things) in the JEFF region a possibility at all?

We'll have to discuss the region's plans on the Fair before releasing any official statements. I assume we are continuing the same policy as last year, but we will see.

As a top contributor last year, We hereby propose to defer everything to JEFF’s strategy in the Global Trade Fair.
Be it gold or not gold, LDA should not stand alone again.
