I didn't have to use the West Saxon version, but I figured if I was going for overly dramatic when answering this question I should go as overly dramatic as possible. Also note that the "7" means "and" and is actually a Tironian et rather than a number 7.

Nope. It's in West Saxon, which was one of the four primary forms of Old English. It's part of a poem written by Tolkien about his legendarium in West Saxon in both the tengwar script and the Latin script, as well as a modern English translation.
