A bit of a heads up, if I suddenly disappear during the weekend it means my power went off because it’s that season again :)

It’s also supposed to be REALLY, like a lot, windy. And the light poles in my area are pretty weak.

Yeah! They're amazing until they get dirty :/

Saaaalutations and welcome to Kantrias! The Kantrias main page (or click on the region's name and you'll find yourself there) has links to websites where you can meet, talk with the people in Kantrias, such as our Discord server and Forums that has lots and lots of fun games!

We hope you have a wonderful time here, Republic of big chungus and Palarunga

I feel like I just did this, but with Deryn Blackwell leaving the region, the position of Speaker is now vacant. If you are interested in serving the remaining month of the term, you have 48 hours to declare your candidacy in this thread:

Wait what just happened.

Har'chaak.... my own inactivity on the forums is my own detriment. One of my weakest aspects on NS, I'm afraid.

Saldagon, I'm not entirely certain wherefore you have departed, though one thing I am certain of is that you doubtless have a good reason. Unfortunately for you, you can never truly escape me, as I have a puppet in The North Pacific, fua ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! (That was a joke, though I do indeed have a puppet there)

I wish you the best, khamarada, wherever your destiny takes you. Cymru am byth.

It is with great sorrow that I must announce my resignation from the position of Supreme Chancellor effective immediately. While it has been a privilege to serve in this position over the last term, I no longer feel as if I'm able to continue for a variety of reasons.

This is admittedly a little unexpected for me, as I thought my term ended yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to discover it actually ends on the 28th, however, I won't be the one to see it through to the end unfortunately.

Kantrias, for me at least, has always been less about the government, the laws, the elections, and more about the people itself. There wouldn't be a Kantrias if not for people just like you, and that's why I'm happy to have introduced a vast array of new methods for people to be recognised and to give back to the community if they wish. The safety and growth of our community has always been a priority of mine, and I'm glad to have met many new people over the past few months as our efforts have paid off. I truly hope that we continue to see a focus on what really matters as we move on from my term.

But, I also promised that I would be open in decisions made, so you all deserve to know why I have suddenly decided to vacate the position. While I can't go into too much detail due to restrictions implemented by the Criminal Code, I've recently found that the ministries, particularly the channels in the discord, aren't a friendly place anymore. A government should be built off of mutual trust and understanding, with people holding the ability to disagree in a respectful manner, unfortunately this isn't the case.
Those of you who know me a bit will know that I'm currently in sixth form full time which keeps me rather busy, Kantrias has always been the escape from that, but, as of late, I find myself having to worry about being attacked in a personal manner over what are literally words on a screen. The recent amendments have only further exacerbated the issue, and I no longer feel comfortable working alongside, or even interacting with some individuals. I understand tempers flare on occasion, but this consistent trend has made me question whether Kantrias is really something I want to continue with.

I will be continuing in my role as Speaker while I ponder my future here, and I am always available on NS, here, and Discord should you ever want to get in touch.

To paraphrase my end of term speech, which, conveniently is an actual end of term speech now:

"Most of you have been wonderful, and for that, I thank you"

Voting is now open in the Supreme Chancellor special election, and will remain open for 48 hours.

Well, it’s Saturday. Would you like to start off your morning by watching someone make paint?

I recommend going to 14:20 for the music. That is also where the painting begins. I recommend the timestamps provided in the description.

I bid you all a nocze dzien, Kantrias! It is quite late for me, and I must rest. Until tomorrow!

How is everyone today?

I've been thinking. RPing a war can be quite complex, and since cohesion is key in these types of posts, it's important to make sure one player does not spite another, or do something against their wishes.

Since it would take ages to manually RP out every single engagement, I have a proposal that I'm considering. Eventually, the forums will be ready to be Kantrias's primary RP platform, and in the interim, the RMB shall suffice. Well, the forums are equipped with a dice-rolling mechanic, with which you can choose the values of a 1-whatever number die. What I propose is that individual battles can be decided with the roll of a die (as even the most well planned strategies can fail, and vice versa, the worst tactics have a chance to suceed), and losses/surrenders/etc. can be decided by the players. It makes the process a lot more fair I think, and after the roll, the players can decide whether or not they would like to RP the events of that engagement, win or lose.

Reborn empire of ulm, would you be ok with our war being a "Guniea Pig" for this experiment?

Everyone else within the RP world, what are your thoughts?

tho I am not in th roleplay I do have something to say, tho I do support dice rolls to decide battles but could you imagine a handul of troops befeating a fully equipped trained army in fields, 1 bad roll and the handful of troops can win, I'd say that either have the weaker side's (if it is really visibly weaker) max roll not decisely win the battle but inflict more losses to the opposing side, or think of something else because I am too lazy t do it myself

What you're saying does make sense, yes. I'm not entirely sure yet how we would go about deciding what the dice will do and what determines a win, loss, or whatever the case may be. I may consult the admins on this
