The 2730 elections would bring a breath of fresh air to a stagnating government, numerous military victories had empowered the political scene granting further power to the National People’s Party from ‘24-’26, however, a brutal rebellion in one of Equestria’s Colonies had seen almost 50 million individuals die at the hands to the rebels and their allies, causing fractures in the solid base of the NPP, although not many expected the party to collapse as it did, the 2730 elections proved that the strains and power of a highly and increasing nationalistic approach had severely weakened the party, as internal divisions increased it became evident that the NPP would not maintain its majority in the Council of the People’s.

The nation was booming and its economy flourishing, this was no issue, and most nationwide issues had been solved or at least clamped down on, albeit there was an increasing worry from the non-interventionist side of things which wanted Equestria to hold a less present image in the Milkdromeda Galaxy, the rise of the Anti-Terranist movement in Equestria had only propelled the matter of non-interventionism, as the galaxy seemed to twist itself towards war once more, as such it was no surprise that the NPP collapsed on Election day, leaving behind it a massive gaping void which was quickly filled by the two new parties, The Wrensparty, and the Democractic People’s Party.

btw, I have a question OOC: in the letter given to Drummer, Shaun said that the Imperium had managed to disable the palace's security systems as a part of them testing the waters. Is that still in effect?
