The hellenes league

Office of the Foreign Minister

With out true and solid evidence, Indochina,(Vashnal) has made unsubstantiated claims of election meddling conducted by the Hellenic League.

I can say this clearly, the Hellenic League did not have anything to do with election tampering in Indochina. I would advise chairman Khan, to choose words carefully.

Indochina is a nation that does business with the FEUSSR (Far eastern union of soviet republics) a nation not far removed from civil war, a nation that itself is committed to bettering lives at the cost of human dignity. A nation that is ruled by a cult of personality that works to impose its will on the world. So if Indochina makes these claims against us, I suggest a long look is needed at who Chairman Khan decides to do business with.

The Hellenic League will not apologize for or make payment on a crime it did not commit. The International Cooperation Council will also not be looking into these inquiries, and instead we ask Indochina to take a longer look into the meddling instead of pinning it on one state so blindly, and behaving irresponsibly as well.

Chairman Khan is simply looking to pin this on any nation or entity to distract from the fact that the Indochinese government is so clearly incompetent in running a successful election.

We will gladly work with Indochina independently to help discover why such gross incompetence occurred and how to prevent it in the future.

An update on the Anatolian Campaign

We can confirm that earlier tonight an explosion occurred in the vicinity of the Grand National Assembly of the Mehmed Republic.

The explosion caused a fire to break out, and it reached the parliament building. According to new national news media in the country parliament was not in session but some members were in their offices along with staff. We are unsure why they were in the building as a national lockdown has been in place since the President had been killed.

Currently the fire is still occurring, with what our air presence can tell is that 40% of the building is in flames. We see a small response from local emergency units and an evacuation occurring as well.

It was not the intention of the Hellenic Air Force to cause this destruction as that building was not marked as a target and was instead seen as a building needed in future recovery efforts and to ensure a stable environment could exist.

We will give updates in regards to the Anatolian campaign at a later time.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects the claims, inaccuracies, and/or fallacies surrounding the recent announcement from the Hellenic Office of the Foreign Minister.

Firstly, the Hellenic Foreign Ministry claims that the nation is "not far removed from civil war". While we may wish to dispute that, given the fact that formal hostilities have ended several years ago, and how the Great Red Revolution was a war of national liberation against the Qing imperial dynasty, and not a civil war at all. Regardless of that, such claims are irrelevant to the evidence-backed allegation of election tampering in Indochina.

Of course, we do thank the Hellenic Minister's words that we are "committed to bettering lives". Here, have a smiley face :)

That being said, claims of a nation "ruled by a cult of personality that works to impose its will on the world" are outright false. The FEUSSR rejects such misguided, unfounded falsehoods. There is no evidence, nor will there be any evidence, of such lies as the FEUSSR is not interested in imposing its will on the world. The FEUSSR is not interested in dealing with the prospects of world domination, nor is it interested in exporting any of its political ideology to some faraway corner of the globe. All of our interactions with nations have been relatively peaceful, and no harm has been done to any foreigner on our soil or abroad at our behest. All we ask is for countries to respect and reciprocate this action - something of high concern due to the recent incidents surrounding foreign meddling and interference in a fellow Asian ally's elections. We will not tolerate such dangerous actions.

The Hellenic attempts to discredit Chairman Khan's evidence-based approach by attacking his allies and friends do not work. They are nothing more than ad hominem attacks aimed at distracting the world from the truth. We will continue to consult with Vashnal on an ad hoc basis.

Demonstrations and Protests Against Hellenic League Actions

With the recent address from Chairman Khan I, people have taken to the streets protesting the alleged actions committed against Indochina by the Hellenic League. Indochinese citizens are chanting "Damn the warmongers" while some other protesters are burning flags of the Hellenic League. While the military has yet to step in, they are on scene in the case that the protests become violent and lose sight of their original meanings. Chairman Khan has called for the calming of these protesters but has not ordered any curfew or any military step-in. It is unclear as to how this entire situation will end.

Office of the Archon

I am deeply saddened by the displays occurring in Indochina. Though at the same time I also support a persons right to protest, to speak freely and even burn a flag. It is democratic ideals that myself and the Hellenic League stand so proudly to defend.

I ask that we reach out and to open up the dialogue which has existed, and for cooler heads to prevail. I ask Chairman Khan I to monitor the situation as the government needs to, but to allow for free speech to occur.

We will find calmer waters.

A man by the name of Mai Xuân Hòa drops off a package addressed to Director Son Chai Chalor of the Indochinese Intelligence Agency. In it contains evidence of election tampering not caused by The Hellenic League, but instead the Far eastern union of soviet republics

Papers containing names, contacts and other sensitive information as well as ballots. Inside it also containers a thumb drive of FEUSSR currency being funneled into The Hellenic League. All this evidence points towards the FEUSSR interfering in the Indochinese election.

Director Chalor picks up a ringing phone in his drawer, a burner phone. On the other end is a man.

“You’ll know what to do with this evidence. Spin it. You’ll be rewarded.”

The phone calls ends...and soon the package arrives on his desk.

Jakarta and Manila Begin Unification Talks

For as long as humans have inhabited the Malay Archipelago, so too has the concept of a single unified nation spanning the islands, commonly referred to as Nusantara. Several times in decades prior, this idea has bubbled tontbe surface in Manila and Jakarta alike due to cultural, linguistic, geographic, and ethnic heritage all in common, a unification only has seemed natural. However, with Indonesia spanning a majority of the archipelago, the Philippines occupies the remainder of the islands and has sought to forge out its own destiny separate from that of Indonesia, with policymakers adamant upon an independent Philippines.

With global geopolitical uncertainty on the rise, crises appearing from thin air, and increasingly frequent natural disasters, Manila has begun to formally float the idea of unifying Nusantara. Several polls have been conducted over the course of the last several years in both nations to see where the general population stands on this matter; the findings although somewhat inconclusive, seem to show that the general public is interested in the concept of a unification, but are concerned about issues of national identity, sovereignty, and funding challenges. Despite all this though, a 72% margin of Filipino citizens view unification favorably, with 85% of Indonesians viewing or favorably as well.

With such positive rankings, policymakers in both Manila and Jakarta began initiating debates and discussions within respective chambers or legislature to discuss the merits and potential pitfalls of such a large scale unification effort and what it could mean for each nation. While the world continues on with its squabbles and issues, Manila and Jakarta have officially entered into talks discussing the tentative unification and going over details. Heads of state and various officials met in Davao to begin more in depth talks about this matter. While the results are unclear and these talks are purely tentative, speculations are pointing towards a national unification between The Philippines and The Republic of Indonesia, which would finally see the dream of Nusantara fully realized.

In other news, Jakarta and government officials including the Grand Chancellor have remained tight-lipped on the matter of the recent fraudulent Indochinese elections. While the governments of several Asian Union nations having condemned The Hellenes League for tampering in the elections and called upon the International Cooperation Council to take action against its member nation, The Republic of Indonesia has remained silent on this matter. As of now, there seems to be no indication the national government in Jakarta will change its position this matter, especially seeing as how Jakarta is preoccupied with discussing a unification with Manila.

Statement of the Government of Mashriq Caliphate on Anatolian Conflict

The Mashriq Arab Caliphate condemns the bombing of the Grand National Assembly of the Mehmed Republic by the Hellenes League.

It has been observed that the Hellenes League has been making attempts to undermine the Mehmed Republic's sovereignty. The Caliphate believes that the Anatolian campaign by the Hellenes League against the Mehmed Republic, leading to death of innocent civilians and an impact on the regional economy, is fairly unjustified, compared to the losses caused in the fruitless conflict.

Despite sour relations with the Ottoman Empire in the past, we trust that both the Hellenes League and the Mehmed Republic should refrain from taking actions that will unilaterally change the status quo on the Anatolian peninsula and in the region, as well as escalate tensions. Both sides should work towards ensuring peace and stability in the region.

Indochinese Intelligence Agency Nakhonruang Office

Director Son Chai was sitting at his desk and reading his newspaper when a buzzing noise came from a drawer in his desk. He looked towards the buzzing noise and put his newspaper down. The buzzing was coming from a burner phone he had made for himself through the Indochinese Intelligence Agency. He looked down at it, wondering how it was buzzing since no one could possibly know the number. He opened the drawer moments later and picked up the phone. He stared at it for a second, still buzzing in his hand. He answered it and put it to his ear. Before he could speak, a voice came over the line. "You'll know what to do with is evidence." it said. "Spin it. You'll be rewarded." continued the voice before hanging up. In even more confusion, Son Chai removes the phone from his ear and then stares at it. While he is staring the phone, attempting to make sense of what just happened. A knock came from his door.

"Come in!" he called to the person knocking. No one came in. "I said come in!" he called once again. Again, no one entered his office. Staring at the door, he rose from his seat and went to the door. He opened it and found there was no one there. However, he looked down and noticed a package labelled from Hanoi. He looked around and still was unable to find someone in the hallway. He looked back down at the package that was sitting at his feet. Is this the evidence? Evidence of what? We already proved the Hellenic League was responsible!, he thought to himself. Despite that, he bent down and picked the package up, closing the door behind him after he turned to go back to his desk.

He set the package down and then sat down in his chair. For a moment, he didn't interact with the package physically. He looked at it, contemplating. He couldn't understand what any of what the last few minutes meant. He had a quick thought to put the package back outside just in case it was rigged, but then it wouldn't have made it to him since he has the highest security protection, besides the protection of the Chairman, that is. He leaned forward and pulled the rope that was holding it together. Once the cloth fell down, Son Chai was greeted with papers and a thumb drive. He set the thumb drive aside and pulled the papers to himself. He started flipping through the papers and noticed that they had names. The names were of the election monitors that were compromised. He flipped through the documents which were official IIA documents, noting that each one had the evidence that was already presented in the Hellenic investigation. There was one key difference, however, this came from the FEUSSR.

Son Chai kept flipping through the papers, getting more and more confused the further he went. Not even halfway through the papers, he turned his attention to the thumb drive. He noticed there was a small note on it. "Important Transactions" read the note. He picked it up and then plugged it into his computer. After letting everything load for a quick minute, he went through the drive. It contained official transaction receipts from the Hellenic investigation, but once again, listed the FEUSSR as the culprit. While this one did not have a specific origin, the currency was from the FEUSSR. Son Chai sat back in bewilderment. The final folder had one document in it. He clicked it to open it and found that it had a list of names, but they were Chinese names, not Hellenic.

He pulled his hand away from the computer mouse and stared at the papers that sat in front of him. "Is someone playing a trick on me?" he asked to an empty room. Suddenly, his mind travelled back to the random phone call. "Spin it. You'll be rewarded." he said to himself. He once again went through the papers, attempting to find one mistake that would signify these were forgeries, but he couldn't find one. He sighed to himself because he knew what he had to do, even if it meant going against an ally.

Son Chai gathered the package and then made his way to his car. He got in and cranked the car, heading off to speak with Chairman Khan. Seven minutes later, he arrived where Chairman Khan was located. He quickly went to meet with him, but was stopped by security. "Halt, where do you think you're going? No one is allowed on the premises without preapproved clearance first, no matter who you are." said a guard. Son Chai quickly panicked, but then regained his composure to speak. "I have new evidence the Chairman needs to see. It's about the elections!" said Son Chai. The guard that spoke looked at the other guard and then nodded. "Wait here." commanded the guard.

He walked away from the entrance and then held his hear. He started to speak, but Son Chai couldn't hear him. No too longer after he moved away, he walked back. "You're clear to enter." he said, lifting the bar that stopped people from entering. Son Chai quickly hurried to meet with Chairman Khan. He was ushered into a room where he was told to wait for the Chairman. Five minutes passed, no one entered. Ten minutes passed, no one entered. Twenty minutes passed, and not a single person had entered the room. Son Chai was becoming anxious and restless. The Chairman was not going to enter the room, so Son Chai left and walked back to his car. He placed the package on his passenger seat. He stared at it. "Two truths where only one can exist." he said to himself as he stared at the package.

He shook his head. If he couldn't get a meeting with the Chairman, he'd just have to use his ranking in the High Government to make this known. Son Chai quickly drove back to his office at the IIA. As he walked to his office, he requested a media team. They went to his office and set up everything. They used their power over parts of the media to interrupt the regular scheduled programming. Director Son Chai looked at the camera and was counted down. He then spoke:

"My fellow Indochinese, new evidence has come to light regarding the fraudulent election. I have with me the evidence against the FEUSSR, the ones who have tampered with Indochinese sovereignty. The evidence of which I am speaking of will be publicized after this broadcast is finished. I have reviewed the evidence and not one thing is out of line to suggest that this is false. On behalf of the Unitary State of Indochina, I'd like to apologize to the Hellenic League for the accusations that have been put forth against you. I urge those of you who are watching this to stop what you are doing, protesting against the Hellenic League when it is uncalled for.

I know that in doing this, I am overstepping my duties, but the truth must be known about the attack against our sacred sovereignty. I apologize to the Chairman of the State and to my family for disgracing my position and overstepping those above me in the High Government. For those who wish to know the truth about the election, it is here. With this being said, I now order the release of these documents. The action is also ordered to not stop under any circumstance since they are under the ownership of the IIA. I also, now, resign from my position as director of the Indochinese Intelligence Agency."

The media team just looked at each other and then looked at Director Son Chai. Son Chai was looking down at his desk, but then turned his gaze towards them. Pain could be seen in his eyes. Not physical pain, but emotional and mental pain. They quickly packed up their things and left his office. Before he could anything, the phone rang again. He answered it, once again not able to speak before the other person spoke. "Well done. Wait there." the voice said before hanging up. Moments later, his guards walked into the room. "Sir, we need you to come with us. It's important." said one of the guards. Son Chai thinking this was him having to meet with a furious Chairman, he accepted his fate and then went with them. Away from earshot of Son Chai, one of the guards spoke into his wrist. "HERMES is mobile and secure. HERMES is mobile and secure." he said, then turning to escort Son Chai to an armored truck.

From his newly furnished office in the recently inaugurated capital of Rio de Janeiro, the Capetão president of the infant Federative Republic, Jorge Gonçalves, was given the cue by the national radio station's manager to begin his first official broadcast. Gonçalves took a deep breath, smiled at the station manager and began his speech:

"My fellow Capetãos: on this cool, breezy evening, I bid you greetings as your first president of the newly established República Federativa da Capa Maior. Ours is a nation created from strife and struggle, through conflict and regional unrest. As each of us is aware, our nation was embroiled in a long and bitter civil war for stability and peace; for years, warring groups of tribal and factional leaders controlled the various municipalities that make up our now fair nation.

As we all know, it took many years, but the leaders of the victorious communities came together to establish the first República Federativa da Capa Maior. As has been shone with our recently-held inaugural elections, the people of Capa Maior strive for peace, stability, and security. Capetãos rushed to the polls in droves to elect the first democratic national government our people have ever witnessed. The people of Capa Maior overwhelmingly voted for parties that stand for equality, opportunity, peace, and social responsibility. For too long have the people of Capa Maior been under the oppressive control of foreign and despotic local powers. This is our time. This is the time for a new Capa Maior.

Brothers and sisters, mine is the Lost Generation - the generation of men and women who sacrificed their lives to fight for equality, peace, and stability. But it is my children's generation, the youth of Capa Maior, who will make this a great country. The new Rainbow Wave coalition government has made it a major platform to improve and modernize the education system in our country. In the coming years, the children of Capa Maior will be able to compete for jobs and opportunities around the world on the same footing as their global peers. What's more, the guaranteed success of our children's future is thanks to you. By peacefully participating in our first-ever elections, you, the people of Capa Maior, showed South America and the world that Capetãos are a strong, committed, and peace-loving people.

My fellow Capetãos, electing our government was but the first step in the long road to recovery and stability. We have much to do here at home but the international community plays a significant role in maintaining our trajectory along the difficult and winding road toward lasting peace. The Rainbow Wave, the national government, and the people of Capa Maior call upon the international community to recognize us, to work with us, and to value what we as a young, democratic nation have to offer the world. Our education system is broken. Our economy is in shambles. Our political institution is young and inexperienced. In spite of our shortcomings, though, Capetãos are a strong and proud people. We possess and value diversity. We believe that mutual respect, cooperation, and collaboration are the tools necessary to make any nation great. It is because of our strengths, not our weaknesses, that we call upon the world to come and pull up the proverbial chair at our national table. The motto of our capital city is "A great city is defined by her great people;" this motto could not be truer on a national scale. Ours is a nation of great people. Our will is strong, our motivation is great, and our desire for collaboration and peace is paramount.

People of Capa Maior, this is our time. The stain of war may be on our nation's cloth but with each passing day, that stain slowly fades away. Your voices have been heard. You went to the polls to assure your children's future. Now, it is our turn, the government you elected. As your prime minister, I will work hard to assure that our nation's past remains in the history books, never to return. I will work with the other members of our elected government to ensure that every single Capetão has access to the fundamentals we need for success: healthy food, clean water, electricity, housing, healthcare, education, and safety and security. Together, let's make Capa Maior stronger.

Thank you."

"...And we're out. Great job, Mister President," the station manager cheerfully commented.

As part of its efforts to push industry improvement and transformation, China will adjust tariffs on certain steel products to reduce import costs starting May 1, according to a circular issued by the State Council's Customs Tariff Commission.

The circular states that China will apply a provisional zero tax rate on cast iron, crude steel, recycled steel raw materials and ferrochrome. Meanwhile, export duties on ferro-silicon, ferro-chromium and high-purity cast iron would have increased to 25%, 20% and 15% respectively.

The adjustments are aimed at reducing import costs, expanding steel imports and supporting domestic producers to reduce crude steel production. This would drive the industry to reduce energy consumption and push for industrial upgrading and high-quality development in the sector, according to the circular.

We are shocked by the efforts made by Far eastern union of soviet republics in its efforts to pull the wool over the eyes of the Indochinese government and its people.

This revelation brings forth a truth to many nations ignore: the FEUSSR is an entity that is itself a rogue state, pretending to be for the greater good of all people by dismantling common decency and morals on its treatment of citizens and to a further extent, people of every nation. It is a rogue state that shows its immaturity.

The efforts made by the FEUSSR to subvert the Indochinese election are shocking and we call on nations of the world to look closely at relationships with the FEUSSR, and recommend extensive sanctions. The actions that the FEUSSR has undertaken not just to demolish democratic norms in election processes, but the ignorance it shows towards its own people, cannot be ignored.

The Hellenic League will be looking into sanctions on the FEUSSR, and we call on our allies in the United States (Imperial Eagle), -greater canada-, Cccp-, Indochina (Vashnal) and Eulumia to look into sanctions as well.

In light of the evidence now arrayed against the FEUSSR, with their blatant disregard for the sovereignty of another nation and the integrity of that nation's elections, the Union will place sanctions upon the leadership of the FEUSSR and limited sanctions on important goods required by the state. These by no means essential goods such as food stuff will be sanctioned as it is not the fault of the people and they need not suffer for the actions of a empowered few.

Chairman Khan was walking hastily down the hallway towards the Chairman's Office, being followed by his closest advisors. He barged into his office and turned around the face his advisors. "What do you mean no one has any idea where he's at?!" he sharply asked. The advisors exchanged looks between each other. No one answered. "Someone better answer me before I make every single one of you scour the entire claim of Indochina for him!" exclaimed Chairman Khan in rage. The advisors casted glances to each other.

"Sir, we're currently running through every possible scenario. The only thing we know is that he was escorted from the IIA building by a team of Troopers. We have no idea where these troopers went however." said an advisor. Khan snapped his gaze towards the advisor. "So, you're telling me we have an ex-director spreading lies against what has already been proven, and we have a team of rogue troopers?" he asked. The advisor nodded and backed up slightly. Khan nodded and looked down. "Great. Just great. We're stuck between two of our allies. No matter who we blame, it hurts Indochina. We blame the Hellenic League and we harm relations with the ICC. We blame the FEUSSR and the Asian Union turns against us. We lie and say that we did it and people will riot. Can someone come up with a solution that won't end with Indochina being the bad guy?!" asked Khan.

Another advisor stepped forward and suggested something. "How about we keep pressing against the Hellenic League to make them answer for their crimes? They can't harm us. We don't even rely on them that much!" scoffed the advisor, quickly being dismissed by Khan. "That's an ignorant take. Indochina can benefit from each nation. The Hellenic League gave us attack craft. We can use more in the future." explained Khan. "What we need to do is find Son Chai before he can escape." he continued.

Chairman Khan rounded his desk and sat down in his chair. "Leave me be for now. I'll come up with something to make sure Son Chai is found and this situation ends quickly." said Khan while turning his back to the advisors. Once they left the room, he picked up a phone and dialed a number. The line rang a few times and then the click of being answered sounded. "It's time to test out Echo Five. Meet me in my office." said Chairman Khan, hanging up before the person on the other side of the line could answer.

City Streets, Jakarta Megalopolis

Thousands of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and foot traffic mingled throughout the streets of the nation's bustling mega city as the equatorial sun beat down relentlessly over the land, the heat and humidity almost overwhelming. In the distance, swirling grey and black clouds loomed, ever slowly approaching the city; the air was so thick you almost cut it. The sensation of an impending storm crept over the city, urging the street-goers to up their paces as they tried to get home before rainfall hit. To say it was difficult to listen to or hold a conversation was an understatement, yet that's exactly what several agents of the Riau Dali were doing. Chatter among the Indonesian streets recently fixated on the fraudulent elections in Indochina, with a government official recently reporting that the FEUSSR, a fellow Asian Union member state interfered in Indochinese elections, promptly before resigning from his position. Rumours abounded and theories flew crazily as Indonesian citizens were uncertain and fearful of what might happen on their doorstep, hoping to avoid becoming embroiled in a costly and needless war or conflict, or allow this political uncertainty to allow the rise of radicalist movements within the Republic of Indonesia. Yet the Riau Dali listened in carefully from their positions in crowds, alleys, rooftops, anywhere and everywhere, to see if they could glean any little of information from the millions of people in the national capital.

The clouds had reached the national capital region and began to obscure the sunlight, casting a grey haziness over the megacity as a light and warm drizzle began to fall onto the city, windows collecting droplets and small puddle forming. Many hours were seemingly wasted as little to no useful intelligence was picked up on until two agents honed in on a man walking erratically, faster than normal, and kept peering over his shoulder. Being sure to keep their cover, they began to follow him throughout the enormous throngs of people and vehicles, deft and nimble in their pursuit. Using minimal nonverbal signals, the two agents split their course and moved to intercept the target; soon enough he turned down an alleyway and began to hastily walk, almost jogging, his footsteps hitting the wet gravelly pavement in irregular footfalls, glancing back over his shoulder in the darkened alley as towers and overhangs soared far above, blotting out sunlight, the overhanging clouds did little to help. His heart skipped a beat as he spotted someone following him, he wasn't sure who it was but he didn't want to stick around to find out. He turned his gaze back to the front and he lurched to an immediate halt, his heart pounding in his chest as fear and adrenaline rushed throughout his body as a figure had appeared at the other end of the alleyway. He adopted a protective stance and shook slightly as he spoke out while the two Riau Dali agents stalked ever closer to him.

"I-I don't know who you are, but you'd better leave me alone! I'll alert the authorities!" He shouted desperately as he took out his phone and fumbled with it in an attempt to contact a first responder dispatcher, only to have the Riau Dali agent behind him rush towards him. He whipped around and took a step back as the agent at the other end of the alleyway sprinted towards him. Leaping into the air and using the wall as leverage, the second Riau Dali agent kicked the phone from the man's hand as the first agent nimbly darted around the man and grabbed hold of his arms and forced them behind his back. In a matter of seconds, the man found himself slammed face-down onto the unforgiving pavement, his clothes lightly absorbing the drizzle from overhead as thunder rumbled ominously. He attempted to shout out for help but was stifled immediately by a cloth pressed over his nose and mouth, a peculiar scent entering his nostrils. He coughed a bit and attempted to struggle free as the Riau Dali agents neutralized him and prepared to transport him to a more secure location, his vision becoming blurred, focus was fading fast no matter how hard he struggled.

One of the agents spoke gruffly, "We are the authorities, you are under custody of the Riau Dali. You have been invited to a stay in Lake Cirata by the Grand Chancellor. Now sleep." His words echoed in the man's head as he began to feel his consciousness rapidly slipping. Lake Cirata...Lake Cirata...Chancellor...Lake Cirata...

Soon enough, the man slipped fully into unconsciousness as the Riau Dali agents began transporting him to Lake Cirata for a more secure facility and questioning.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released the following televised statement with Revolutionary Marshal Chae Kum-sok, to dispute the falsehoods put forward by Former Director Son Chai of the IIA.

The statement is as follows:

"The FEUSSR will vehemently, categorically, and strongly reject Director Son Chai's claims of electoral interference from our nation. The FEUSSR has no interest in Indochinese politics, nor does it have any interest in foreign elections. There is simply no logical justification or reason for these falsehoods to exist.

Logically, electoral interference is typically a tactic used to push into power a faction that is friendly or amenable to another nation's interests. However, the Indochinese state is already amenable and friendly to our nation. They are our comrades in the AU, and both nations share extensive ties that take us through the deepest valleys and highest mountains. Good relations are guaranteed. Anyone with critical thinking can see that the FEUSSR will not jeopardise such interests.

Attempts to tarnish the FEUSSR's reputation by blaming us for something we have no interest in will fail. However, this is not to say that we will languidly take these falsehoods and do nothing in return. We will assess and investigate these claims.

Should these claims be proven false, and they will be, those who have taken unjustified punitive action against the FEUSSR will face harsh consequences."

"Well, the Americans think we did it," a man in a surgical mask said. "But there's no evidence, at least from our side, that even hints at that."

"Elaborate?" Chae Kum-sok said, nibbling on some pork.

"I've reached out to some friends in the Indochinese government. They say that these claims contained official transaction receipts from the Hellenic investigation that tagged our currency. And there was a list of Chinese names."

"That's awfully...non-specific."

"I know," he chuckled. "The Union Silver Plate is one of the most traded currencies in the world. 6.3% of daily trades are made with it, so this is just...too easy."

"And the names?"

"Do you know how many people have the surname Wang?"

The man shrugged.

"100 million people."

"Well, that's...awfully convenient," the man said, looking at Chae. He then pulled open a manila folder and showed him a stack of papers. "And you're right. These claims are bull. I've checked with my people at the Immigration Service, and none of these people exist. The transactions weren't even recorded on bank databases, and I've checked all the ones with certs to perform overseas transactions. So there's two possibilities. One, a criminal who is really good at their job did it, in which case the MOI-PIS need to get in on this, or these claims were forged."

Chae looked back.

"Two possibilities isn't a lot to narrow down on."

"Should I make a press statement?"

"No. Seek truth from facts. Investigate and find evidence first before talking."

"Yes, sir."

Maratha-empire

Delhi:

The Maratha Government announced it is starting a program to give access to banking services to low income Indians. This program will be designed to give banks the opportunity to reach to these low income families through a government-backed app. Due to the high usage of mobile technology (specially smartphones), this creates a unique environment where low-income Indians can do their banking online even if there's no bank branch in their village. This means that Indians that did not have the opportunity before will be able to open bank accounts, tap credit lines and build a credit history. Likewise, banks will benefit by expanding their customer base, boosting their revenues and encouraging them to innovate in the fintech sector - a new, growing terrain in the financial industry.

A not so serious take on the world segment

“Okay so get this...the try hard Soviet republic in the Far East says they have no interests in other nations affairs, right? Which is just laughable already because their history clearly shows the opposite. They also say “no we had no civil war”, meanwhile news headlines and other countries are pouring in troops to get their embassies out. Even the Canadians did this! And they didn’t rely as much on the Americans which is a step in the right direction, right?

So the FEUSSR says they have no involvement in the Indochinese election hack, which is just a lie since all the documents found in this new discovery point to a cover up with someone high in the former Qing Imperial government gone “communist” trying to make it look it was us, right?

One, we aren’t in an alliance with the Indochinese. We aren’t severely economically involved. Now the FEUSSR has a lot to lose, and would clearly be involved. Just a weird day in the world I gotta say. They say hey Indochina is already a friend. Are you sure about that?

And don’t get me started on the love affair with our Hellenic Princess and the Russian play-boy...”

Indochina Intelligence Agency Headquarters

With two stories floating around Indochina, both of which have yet to be disproven, employees at the Indochina Intelligence Agency are becoming desperate to find an answer. Attempting to find an answer in any form, the newly promoted intern Suk Mookjai decided to take a look at the thumb drive that has become public. "Something has to point to this not being real. Why would there be two reports?" he asked as he sat down and put the thumb drive in his computer. He opened the drive and then opened the transaction documents and then started looking through them.

After a while, he couldn't find anything that made the documents seem forged in any way. He kept scouring through the documents attempting to find a mistranslation or a miscalculation. After an hour of searching through each document, he couldn't find anything. He was about to close the drive until a random thought popped into his head. Wait a minute, I learned in training that all official documents made in Indochina only support Indochinese and English, he thought to himself. His eyes widened and he zipped back to his computer.

He went to a document and attempted to type in the blank space. He typed in Indochinese characters and they were accepted, which he already expected. The same occurred with the Latin alphabet which was expected as well. Since this document was supposedly procured from the FEUSSR, it would have to support Chinese characters. When Suk attempted to use Chinese characters on the document, they were not accepted and showed up as rectangles. This made him sit up in excitement because it was a move towards finding out who made this document. He then tried the Cyrillic alphabet and it too was not accepted. He attempted Korean, and once again, the characters weren't accepted. This clearly ruled out the FEUSSR. However, it still left a void of responsibility. His brain connected the current issues against Indochina and he attempted to use the Hellenic alphabet

To his surprise, the alphabet was accepted. Suk's eyes widened and he sat back in his chair. "These are forgeries! These are forgeries to cover up the Hellenic League! Those lying bastards! Of course this would be the way to find them out! It wouldn't make sense to check the document languages of all things so no one would ever know!" he exclaimed to himself. After he composed himself, his mind started racing. Before he could decide on what to do however, he heard a knock on his office door. His mentor, Karit Jivacate, opened the door.

"Assistant Director Mae Noi wants to see you, right away." said Karit. Suk, with his mind still racing, looked at Karit. "It can wait! I just found something to help with the investigations!" exclaimed Suk. Karit's face developed a puzzled expression. He walked in and shut the door behind him. "What are you talking about?" he asked, confused as to what Suk was even talking about. "Okay, this will sound crazy, but the transaction documents on the thumb drive, they don't accept Chinese, Cyrillic, nor Korean characters!" exclaimed Suk. Karit was still confused. "Indochinese documents only accept Indochinese and English. Why would it accept Chinese or Korean, or even Cyrillic?" asked Karit in a slight mocking tone. Ignoring the tone Karit used, Suk explained. "Yes, exactly! Here's the thing though, while it didn't accept those three, there is another one besides Indochinese and English that it accepted!" said Suk, barely able to contain his excitement about this breakthrough.

Karit motioned for him to speak. "Okay, and?" he asked. "It accepted Hellenic characters! Knowing how their system works in Indochinese-Hellenic communications, only English, Indochinese, and Hellenic can be used. These documents accept these there and nothing else! This is a forgery by the Hellenic League to be used as a distraction!" he exclaimed. Karit just stared at him with a stunned look on his face.

"That's a bold claim coming from an intern. It could just be a fluke. Anyway, Mae Noi needs you, now! You can dive deeper into this whole thing of yours to find more concrete evidence." said Karit in a slight condescending tone. "But, I need to tell the Director about this!" exclaimed Suk. Karit shook his head. "What you need to do is go see Assistant Director Mae Noi, otherwise you lose this internship. The director won't even speak with you until you have more evidence. He doesn't want to be disgraced unlike Son Chai, so coming at him with this information won't do anything but cause more turmoil in this building. Mae Noi, now!" commanded Karit. Suk lost his excited expression and nodded. He rose and both him and Karit left the office. Karit turned to go back to his office while Suk made his way to Assistant Director Mae Noi's office.

After a quick minute, Karit re-entered Suk's office. He pulled a drive out of his pocket and plugged it into the computer. He opened a few files and then opened the command prompt. After about three minutes, he restarted the computer and put the desktop back to the state it was before he restarted the computer. He quickly left the room and went to his office. About fifteen minutes later, Suk entered his own office. "Well that was a waste of about twenty minutes." he sighed. He shook his head and then turned his attention to the drive. "Director Raijni, right. I need to get this to him. Damn what Karit says!" he claimed. He ejected the drive and then removed it from the computer. He then made his way down to the Director's office on the top floor of the building.

He barged into the office. "What is this about?!" exclaimed a started Rajini. "Sir, I apologize for my brash intrusion, but I have evidence against the Hellenic League regard the forgeries!" he said. Rajini squinted towards Suk. "I can prove it, sir!" said Suk in desperation. Rajini nodded and motioned for him to step forward. "You'll need to plug this in and switch the languages on the documents. You can switch it to Hellenic and you'll be able to use Hellenic characters!" said Suk. Rajini looked at him in disbelief. "I promise you sir, I am not making this up. Just attempt it." pleaded Suk.

Rajini's gaze turned back to his computer. He switched the document language and then attempted to type Hellenic characters. "Rectangles." said Rajini. Suk's expression turned from excitement to pure confusion. "I'm sorry?" he asked. "The document doesn't recognize the Hellenic characters I just attempted to type. What kind of joke is this?" asked Rajini who had a slightly angry tone to his voice. "This isn't a joke, sir! Try Chinese, Cyrillic, or Korean characters! They don't work either!" exclaimed Suk. Rajini squinted towards Suk again, but did it to get the intern out of his hair. As Rajini attempted to type in each character set, rectangles appeared in their place. "Rectangles, again. What are you trying to prove, intern Suk?" asked Director Rajini. Suk contemplated his words for a moment. "Well?" asked Rajini.

"It doesn't accept Chinese, Korean, or Cyrillic. That means these aren't transaction documents from the FEUSSR! They're Hellenic!" explained Suk. Rajini shook his head. "While yes, this proves it wasn't the FEUSSR that made these transaction papers, there is no proof that this was caused by the Hellenic League. It could be anyone except the FEUSSR. I would drop the Hellenic League story if I were you, Suk." said Rajini sternly. Suk sighed, not wanting to aggravate the Director more. "Understood, sir." he said as Rajini handed back the thumb drive. "We'll inform the FEUSSR of this." said Rajini before Suk left his office.

Suk then made his way towards his office, mumbling to himself as no-one was around him. "Was I seeing things? No. I couldn't be. I clearly saw the Hellenic characters. Something must be faulty with this drive. I'll have to figure this out." he mumbled under his breath. Meanwhile, in Karit's office, Karit pulled out a phone, just like the one ex-Director Son Chai had. Karit held down a button and the phone started ringing. No-one answered, but Karit spoke. "Those documents on the thumb drive were almost compromised. I made sure that the kid couldn't prove anything to the Director. However, they possibly know it wasn't the FEUSSR as I didn't have enough time to implement the language information since I knew he could've been back any moment. At least all the heat is off of you." said Karit. He heard a chuckle on the other end of the line.

Meanwhile, back in Suk's office, he was pacing the floor attempting to think of reasons why the Hellenic characters didn't show up for Director Rajini. His mind was racing, but there didn't appear to be a finish line in sight. Suk kept pacing and pacing until he sat down from mental exhaustion. Director Rajini, however, was forming an encrypted communication to the FEUSSR which would be sent momentarily.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - to Vashnal

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanks the Indochinese Intelligence Agency's quick and efficient work. There is no doubt in any of our minds that relations between the two peoples will not be tarnished by such a move, and the FEUSSR will continue to resolutely support her comrade's efforts to seek justice.

We thank the Indochinese side once more. May Asian unity prosper in such troubling times.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Public Communique

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released the following televised statement with Revolutionary Marshal Chae Kum-sok, to discuss the recent findings of the IIA.

The statement is as follows:

"Investigations by the Indochinese Intelligence Service have proven conclusively that the FEUSSR is not complicit, nor is it responsible, for the recent incidents surrounding foreign, unwanted electoral interference in Vashnal. As such, we wish to resolutely appraise our comrades in the Southeast for their brilliant work in unveiling the work of foreign spies, wreckers, and saboteurs who prowl around as predators in Asia's sacred soil.

We condemn the recent imposition of sanctions on the FEUSSR's leadership by Imperial Eagle. This is no more than another attempt by a white nation to twist the narrative into their favour, demand concessions, and pressure our peoples into submission. The American way of punishment is based on groundless, baseless accusations. The US' quick, eager belief in lies that undermine our integrity is a reason of concern.

As I have said before, 'those who have taken unjustified punitive action against the FEUSSR will face harsh consequences.' This will include the US, the countermeasures of which will be unveiled at our discretion upon consultation with various stakeholders involved. For the time being, we demand the immediate repudiation of all sanctions, on the basis that they are built on lies. We also call for a public apology by relevant officials, for the failure of the American government to do its due diligence when dealing with such important matters.

With The hellenes league being the number one suspect in this case, prior attempts by the Office of the Archon to discredit and slander the nation will be assessed, and a relevant course of action to be decided. Statements of concern coming from the Hellenic side, which seek to attack the integrity of both Indochina and the FEUSSR based on subjective conjecture, point to two possible outcomes. Either: the Hellenic side is responsible and aims to silence the truth by maliciously deceiving the world, or the Hellenic side is ignorant of the current circumstances. Neither outcome is desirable.

Should it be shown that the Hellenic nation is responsible for the gross disrespect of Indochinese sovereignty, we have no doubt that the Asian Union will seek the relevant countermeasures to defend their own interests.

The FEUSSR has the highest degree of respect for the democratic institutions of the world. The FEUSSR is run on the basis of New Democracy, wherein a system of Soviets, from the national, down to the provincial, county, district and township levels, elect their respective governmental bodies and rule the country by law. Under the spirit of New Democracy, the FEUSSR operates on universal and equal suffrage, irrespective of sex, creed, property, or education, as per the system of democratic centralism, as a means to express the will of all the revolutionary people and defend their integrity.

However, the events that have transpired over the past several days has left the FEUSSR concerned for its wellbeing. Our peoples have experienced many storms, many of which were exported by foreign entities. The FEUSSR was sanctioned by the UKOB and Romanovskaya for administering justice against criminal cultists, condemned for being a country that 'imposes' some fictional will on others, and now blamed and scapegoated for something it is not responsible for. It will not be long before they rock up with gunboats, like in 1839, to cause trouble.

The FEUSSR can no longer look to the outer world for friendliness or cooperation. Nations of the International Cooperation Council pledge worldwide collaboration, yet take the time to stab holes at us at every turn. We now must look inwards, at our own peoples, and at those who we can trust. To stand up to foreign bullies who are unwilling to see things from our perspective, unwilling to empathise with our people and the hardships they have went through, is a must. They do not know why we do the things we do. And that is their mistake.

There can be no more days of peace for our people. If the world is out to stab us, we must arm us so we can stab back. We have endured injustice after injustice for long enough.

    Long Live Asian Unity!"
