I just have to ask. Being a US citizen, In find myself paralyzed by the fears of what will happen following this next presidential election in our country. I am terrified at the prospect that a criminal becomes the president, one who already launched and insurrection against the very nation he swore to protect. I am watching a rebirth of McCarthy's Lavender Scare again and the LGBTQ+ community being the brunt of it yet again. I am terrified. I'm losing sleep as the elections come closer. I'm having nightmares. IDK what to do with all of this mess. Any ideas or tips? I'm actively involved in trying to make sure this doesn't happen. But at the same time the stakes are so high for someone like me who is also disabled.

Personal opinion: We can't fix the current system, and need a complete overhaul.

This feels like the period right after the French revolution, of a detente, but if we survive it, things will resume progress (supposing we are consistent in historical behavior toward radical change)
