Gonna take a shot in the dark and say 3

4, because you've made Forest such a great place! Unless you're an only child, then I guess 1.

Huh. 1 seems like something I would do, so I don't doubt it's possible. Seeing Erdogan is also a possibility. Elizabeth Warren does look vaguely famous, but unplaceable if you don't know exactly who she is, so possible as well. 4 is possible, but pets are great and it would make me sad if it was true. So 4.

1 and 2 go hand in hand (kinda), and I'm the only one who likes cold more than warm. But it just seems kinda mean to say 3 is a lie. So I'm saying 1, for no specific reason.

Also, mine was 2. I'm able to rapidly shift my center of balance out of reflex, so I haven't fallen on ice in about 7 years. Stairs however...

Canaltia wrote:But it just seems kinda mean to say 3 is a lie.

part of my reasoning for picking this one is that there's a sneaky piece of extra information in there, so it could be partially true, but still a lie overall.

It was three. I'm single. :)

crud I was gonna guess 4. See, told ya I'd be bad.

@Fuf's thing: Yeah I'll go ahead and choose 1. It's believable but that's the one I'm picking.

Wait, are you a woman? If not, I would like to ask you how you reconcile being a Republican with being a gay man. What do you think about the stance of the Republican party towards homosexuality?

+1

It is super cold today and I am certainly not enjoying wading in the muddy slush everywhere - but even then, it is preferable to a sweltering summer day. Shivering is better than sweating.

Speaking about economics and the budget, I side with the Republican Party on most things. However, I begin to diverge on social issues. I'm a strong supporter of same-sex rights across the United States, and I support the right for same-sex couples to adopt a child. However, I'm extremely pro-life and I still support the death penalty. Realistically, I agree with the Democratic Party just on immigration policy and same-sex rights -- not much else. My mother is a strong Democrat and my father is her polar opposite, so I had a steady influence of both sides while growing up.

I also wish the Republican Party would be more open to gay men. It's a shame to see so many higher-ups within the party so homophobic. I suppose a man can only wish.

It makes me mad and I want to f***ing make them suffer like societal exclusion and derision has made me feel.

...as a gay man, who is actually a registered Democrat. *shocker lol* <-- *sarcasm*

Just today I read this article about a movement to defend American conservatism from that kind of populism. Reading this, I think maybe it's of interest to you: https://www.vox.com/2019/1/18/18175582/trump-fox-news-conservative-media-charlie-sykes

I myself really wish the Republican party found another issue to define itself around, instead of immigration or LGBTQ+ rights. (Full disclosure, I'm trans and an immigrant to Canada).

Jutsa he...
ok wow mistyped that one. twice.

Justa heads up, I probably won't be on NS for a couple days... or at least tomorrow.
There's a lot of ungood stuff happening. I wouldn't say doubleplusungood, but... at least a doubleungood. :\

It's 2, I'm only mildly allergic to bees.

Also, youngest brother is getting published in a science journal and middle brother graduated from the naval academy and is an officer in the service. So technically, they're more accomplished compared to me. Technically.

FuF yours is the one about Erdogan.

100% success rate so far.

I've been rewatching Sherlock the last few days, btw.

I'm neither a democrat nor republican, and I'm cynical of politics in general. plays a political simulator

I probably should actually look into what each side generally supports or doesn't. .-.

edit: Still getting used to the RMB quote system.

No, it's actually 3. I've never seen Ms. Warren, though a friend of mine says she did. She inspired me to create this lie :)

And yes, I did jump on a table to be able to see Erdogan in a throng. This was back in 2004 (I was 12 at the time, so don't judge me) and Erdogan wasn't the crazy despot that he is today (though he did promise to be one in the future) and didn't walk around with an army of bodyguards - so people could approach him and he could literally disappear amidst a flock of fans.

I jumped on the table, saw that Erdogan looked just like he looks on TV, and then stepped down.

That is the end of it.

Does anyone own a green fuel refinery ??

I know I'm not really active that often on this RMB so this is gonna be a bit hard, but here's my 3 truths and a lie anyway.
1) Legally, I have 3 grandfathers.
2) I used to work on a video game called "Fortnite," by a company called "Epic Games".
3) I finished my master's degree at 21.
4) I used to be a model for clothes and ads and such - major sportswear brands, banana-flavoured milk, catwalks, basically everything.

1) Plausible if one of your parents had been adopted by a gay couple. The question is, could someone your age have a parent who had openly gay parents, who could LEGALLY adopt him/her? Hmm... How else would you have 3 grandfathers? Maybe if there was something about one of your parents' paternity, for example, if they have been adopted and if both their biological and adoptive fathers claimed paternity rights. Something like that.

2) Meh, this is quite mundane in comparison to the others. I don't know how nerdy you are, but it sounds plausible.

3) Let's see. I don't even remember where you're from, but I think this could be possible. I graduated from high school at age 19, but in many countries people graduate at 18. You may even technically graduate at 17, if your birthday is later in the year (I knew someone who did that).

Again, in Turkey (and in the US, too) a typical undergraduate program takes 4 years, while a master's program takes about 2 years. But in some countries such as Germany, undergrad programs can take 3 years and master's programs can take 1 year. So a person who finishes high school at age 17 could easily go on to complete a master's at age 21. I'll say this is plausible as well.

4) This is also plausible, though the things you claim to have modeled for are quite diverse... and what do you mean by modeling for catwalks??? Oh dear...

Anyway, I guess I'll go with 4. I think you're still a young person (right?) and since you say you "used to" be a model, this would mean that you switched careers. I thought modeling could be a more or less lucrative business, so maybe you wouldn't so easily leave it? Also, maybe you couldn't have time for modeling if you were engaged in finishing a master's and coding games?

I'll say 4.

I hope it is 1, because you can technically not be here if you are younger than 13.
