Yahlia wrote:

Trump did, maybe, two good things, and his entire presidency was otherwise disastrous for both America and the globe. He alienated traditional American allies, like Europe, and cozied up to dictatorial regimes like those in Russia and Saudi Arabia, and encouraged the democratic backsliding which is currently being experienced in India, Hungary, Poland, and Brazil. His administration was indifferent about human rights, with the continued support of Saudi Arabia in their war in Yemen (even after the execution of Jamal Khashoggi, as ordered by Mohammed bin Salman), put children at the US borders in cages and separated them from their parents. His rhetoric about Mexicans was racist. He actively worked against global efforts to combat climate change, the effects of which are directly threatening billions of people. He discriminated against transgender US citizens by prohibiting their service in the US military. He is horrendously misogynistic, please tell me we haven't forgot about his comments to grab a woman by her p*ssy. He promoted baseless conspiracy theories. He called those killed in the line of service "losers". He attacked Republicans who didn't tow the party line. He solicited the President of Ukraine to influence the 2020 election, resulting in his first impeachment. He defended white supremacists. He also built a personality cult out of the Republican Party by preying upon vulnerable individuals and fearmongering. He repeatedly tried to undermine the 2020 US election by wrongly criticising mail-in ballots and efforts to count all the votes, actively encouraging his voters to commit voter fraud as well. Trump himself also tried to coerce Georgia's Secretary of State into overturning the state's election results. Then we reach the 2020 election in general, where his refusal to concede and harsh rhetoric was directly responsible for the storming of the US Capitol building and the deaths of five people, including a police officer; this eventually resulted in his second impeachment, the only US president to be impeached twice, and though not convicted by the Senate, received a damning 57 votes in favour of his conviction. Note: he continues to spout lies about the election result. And finally, his response to the pandemic is directly responsible for the deaths of over 500,000 Americans.

Calling Donald Trump the worst president ever is definitely debatable, but multitudes of his deplorable actions would have ended the careers of almost any other politician. He's a corrupt, heartless, authoritarian tumour on America. The turbulent 4 years he was in office has potentially forever impacted America's global standing and will have negative repercussions for years. Defending that man is, I believe, morally reprehensible.

Some people arguing about who’s better, Trump or Biden. Most people are Biden supporters, some are Trumps, and some don’t really like either. I don’t like either of them but I certainly disagree with Biden’s views. I hate how Biden is painted as a hero after all he did. He had the chance to confront the Chinese government about the slaughtering of the Ughyur Muslims in the Chinese concentration camps, but that coward didn’t. Now innocent Muslims and Christians are being forced to do things against their religion and tortured until they turn 5 atheism. It’s not fair.

Biden’s a disgusting human being, and so is Trump but I agree with SOME of his views.

Biden's not a hero but he's still slightly more competent and less mouthy than Trump which is good enough for now.

Yahlia wrote:

I completely agree with you on Trump being a horrible president, but my point is, I agree with some of his values. Such as topics on tradition, Christianity, abortion... all that. Biden is also heartless but people fail to realise that and cheer him on as the best president ever anyway. That’s why I don’t support either of them.

St Scarlett wrote:Biden's not a hero but he's still slightly more competent and less mouthy than Trump which is good enough for now.

He’s caused too much chaos already and he’s only been in for a few months. I stringy dislike the two of them, but the thing is, just some of Trumps views align with my political views. Yes, those views are completely unrelated to Trump but the point his he agrees with me on those factors, meanwhile Biden doesn’t, so that 1:0 to Trump.

Yes but think about what you have to overlook in order to support him based on those views.

Less mouthy yeah, but wouldn’t call him more competent, trump made a show of idiocy on the outside but he was relatively smart when he needed to be genuinely serious. Biden isn’t competent at all, hell he already managed to lose thousands of jobs for people during his first days of presidency when he began signing executive orders like crazy.
