Spain places into effect economic regulations to reduce unemployment and bolster economic growth; government spending and investments into rural areas announced

| The Madrid Economic Directive, which was announced on June 8, was placed into effect almost immediately, which bolstered approval ratings for the Torres Administration to 71%. Building on the economic - and political - successes of economic reforms, the Spanish government placed into effect new economic regulations such as tax cuts for the middle class, increased government spending and private investment, as well as higher real wages and lower interest rates. The new economic reforms were passed under the Madrid Revised Economic Reform Act (MRERA) on June 15, 2024. |

| The MRERA introduced a new fiscal policy which lowered interest rates in order to reduce the cost of borrowing, encouraging investment and consumer spending. Lower interest rates also reduce the incentive to save, making spending more attractive instead. Lower interest rates will also reduce mortgage interest payments, increasing disposable income for consumers. Lower interest rates also make it more attractive to buy assets such as housing. This will cause a rise in house prices and therefore rise in wealth. Increased wealth will also encourage consumer spending as confidence will be higher. As most Spaniards are borrowers rather than savers, lower interest rates will encourage the buying of products while also making exports more competitive. |

| Tax cuts for the middle class and the poor were also introduced to boost demand increase disposable income and encourage consumer spending. With reduced taxes for the middle class, the government hopes spending will increase and the overall economy will be benefited. A minimum wage of 1,100 euros per month will be introduced by the Ministry of Finance to ensure the middle class continues to prosper. The Cortes Generales also secured a workers protection agreement with more than fifty large Spanish businesses to protect wages and worker health and holidays. Higher real wages have also been introduced to military, education, infrastructure, and healthcare related occupations to encourage employment in those industries.|

| The Spanish government also announced increased government spending in healthcare, infrastructure, transportation and education, as well as private investments into railways and infrastructure. Following the securing of Japanese investments for the automobile, technological, and transportation sectors in the country, Madrid hopes to see significant economic growth due to the construction of new railways which will encourage economic flow into the interior of the country. New high-speed railway and highway projects connecting Spanish business centers to rural areas have also been proposed. Spending on education and training will also increase labor productivity by a massive margin, thus generating more profits for companies, benefiting the economy as a whole. Higher government spending will create new jobs and provide an economic stimulus. |

| Finally, geographical subsidies for people and firms have also been introduced to assist Spaniards and companies to transfer and expand into new territories, regions, and markets to boost the private sector. The Spanish government expects to spend upwards of $10 billion USD over a period of ten years to support the Madrid Revised Economic Reform Act. The effects of these reforms will not be visible immediately, but will significantly increase Spain's GDP annual growth over time. |

Armed Forces prepare to conduct tri-branch amphibious landing exercises near Valencia; Spanish Navy announces commissioning and manufacturing of new vessels

| In response to the outbreak of two wars in the Middle East, Madrid plans to make sure the Spanish Armed Forces is at its highest military readiness in case of a need to deploy troops to keep Middle Eastern stability. On 18 June, the Foreign Ministry brought up the concern of how Spanish imports and exports out of and into the Middle East would be affected by the Russo-Iranian and Saudi-Omani conflicts. King Felipe VI, Crown of Spain, authorized a tri-branch amphibious landing and naval exercise near Valencia and off the Balearic Islands. The Ministry of Defense announced the military components taking part in the tri-branch amphibious landing and naval exercise earlier today. |

| The above military components will be mobilized into a war-ready stance and will begin amphibious landing and naval exercises at Valencia and the Balearic Islands respectively on July 1, 2024. Being the largest Spanish military exercise in over 50 years, it will cost an estimated $8.9 million USD to plan and execute. The Juan Carlos I amphibious assault ship will finish modifications at Valencia to accommodate the Dassault Mirage X fighters during the exercise on June 21, and will sail out to meet with its naval fleet west of the Balearic Islands. |

| Meanwhile, the Spanish Navy has announced the commissioning of the Isaac Peral, the first of Spain's S-80 Plus-class submarines which are natively built by Spain for $1.1 billion USD each. The commissioning of the Isaac Peral occurred on April 12, with King Felipe VI and Princess Leonor attending the ceremony. The Isaac Peral will participate in the naval exercises to take place near the Balearic Islands as part of its combat exercise training. The Spanish Navy also announced that the Narciso Monturiol, the second S-80 Plus-class submarine for the Spanish Navy, will enter service by August 2024 with a commissioning in July. Two more S-80 submarines are currently in different stages of manufacturing. |

| The Spanish Navy also announced the beginning of construction for 5 Meteoro-class OPVs for $1.1 billion USD for the Spanish Navy. The Navy plans to use these OPVs to increase patrols in Spanish coastal waters and to combat illegal trade and piracy in the Mediterranean. The first OPV delivery is expected in late 2025, with complete delivery by early 2026. Spain is also planning to invest into Navantia, a state-owned shipbuilding company responsible for building military and civilian ships for Spain. Private investments into the company have also grown as lower interest rates and tax cuts were introduced through the Madrid Revised Economic Reform Act. Navantia stated that new investments will allow for the construction of new and modernized shipyards to fast track shipbuilding. The Navy made clear that the new OPVs will not obstruct shipment of the 5 Meteoro-class and 2 Alvaro De Bazan-class vessels to Sudan in any manner. |

 Bangladeshi forces in Chad were reduced to the role of a peacekeeper force fighting the ISF after the diplomatic talks at Baghdad, however due to financial reasons, all Bangladeshi forces were going to be pulled out via the safer and much more stable Sudan, the merchant vessel "Banglar Joyjatra" was sent out due to the Bangladeshi navy not having the capabilities to transport so many troops through such long ranges, the merchant vessel Banglar Joyjatra or MV Banglar Joyjatra for short was refitted to handle so many troops. The MV Banglar Joyjatra was sent out on early June of 2024, her first stop was the port of Djibouti in the Erythrea province of the large Gallan empire then onto port Sudan to take back the first batch of troops, after that the merchant vessel arrived at the port of Chittagong.
The MV Banglar Joyjatra continued this route once again until it will take back it's final batch of troops, the fourth batch but this time it stopped at the port of Salalah at night then onto Djibouti and once more onto Port Sudan then once more back to the port of Chittagong.
The MV Banglar Joyjatra will then come to the port of Djibouti where the Gallan empire will be gifted 4900 units of FN-16 MANPADS, this will obviously be kept classified, after that it would arrive at Port Sudan but stay there for longer to deliver the promised 300 units of FN-16 MANPADS to the AAFC of Chad as the arrangements had been made, after a short stay in Port Sudan the MV Banglar Joyjatra finally went back to the port of Chittagong.
