EN INVITASJON TIL OSLO FRA KONGERIKET NORGE TIL KONGERIKET KOREA

      ____________________

To whom it may concern, the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Norway would like to strengthen relations and trade with the Kingdom of Korea. Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide, Minister of Foreign Affairs affirms that the Kingdom of Norway is interested in investing in Korea's clean energy resources such as hydropower and wind power, including increasing Norwegian investments in the Korea and expanding trade between the two countries. Both Minister Søreide and Prime Minister Solberg call for a summit between Norway and Korea.

    | Due to unforseen political circumstances, with the government being in caretaker mode, it was decided that King Ahnjong would take up the role of visiting Norway to meet with Prime Minister Solberg in line with his position as permenant Foreign Secretary. Having delegated some constitutional duties regarding the election, should another crop up, the King was free to travel to Oslo. |

Armed Forces begin tri-branch exercise near Valencia and the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea

| On June 5, 2024, almost a month before the expected start of Operation Alerta, Spanish defense representatives procured dummy surface-to-air missiles and dummy air to surface missile armaments for the upcoming tri-branch military exercises set for the end of the month. While the Spanish government planned to execute a 'realistic amphibious landing scenario', no live ammunition or weaponry will be used during the operations to prevent unnecessary spending and destruction of nature. The equipment of the 10 Eurofighter Typhoons, 20 Dassault Mirage X fighters, and the 20 Dassault nEUROn attack drones with the new 'test missiles' began on June 14 ahead of their scheduled practice runs on June 18. The Local Government of Valencia also began preparations to close off and secure the Projected Landing Zone (PLZ), a 15-kilometer strip of land along the Mediterranean coast on which Spanish forces will conduct an amphibious landing exercise. Police units and two new UH-60L Black Hawks assisted in surveying the area and preparing it for the landings in late June. By June 21st, the Carrier Strike Group, consisting of the Juan Carlos I amphibious assault carrier, five Alvaro De Bazan-class frigates, and four Meteoro-class OPVs departed Ibiza in the Balearic Islands to support amphibious landing forces later in the week. |

| On June 25th, the 4,500 participating Spanish troops and armored vehicles left the mainland aboard troop carriers, amphibious landing ships, and Meteoro-class OPVs to rendezvous with the Carrier Strike Group and conduct the exercise, set for June 29th. His Majesty King Felipe VI, Crown of Spain, and Defense Minister Nadia Calvino joined the Spanish infantry on their ships, with plans to oversee the exercise from June 29 to June 31. By the time the Spanish force had rendezvoused 35 kilometers from the Projected Landing Zone (PLZ), all components were prepared to partake in what would be Spain's largest military exercise in 50 years. |

| At 9:30AM, 5 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters departed the main fleet bound for the PLZ, armed with live armaments and missiles. The decision to use live arms for the new Apaches, Black Hawks, and Dassault aerial fighters, manned and unmanned, had been reached in order to officially test the new equipment in a 'realistic battle scenario'. Immediately after the Apaches departed the fleet, 8 UH-60L Black Hawk transport helicopters left their troop carriers and OPVs and caught up with the attack helicopters which served as the forward shield of the frontal force. 112 troops total were onboard the Black Hawks, designated to land in specific spots along the waterfront to secure it for the arrival of armored vehicles. At 9:59AM, the Apache helicopters fired upon designated target zones which served as pretend anti-air batteries and anti-tank fortifications. After circling around and firing on a second group of designated targets, the Apaches withdrew as the Black Hawks landed and its cargo of troops secured their respective beachfronts. Once these were secured, a wave of fast landing craft and amphibious landing vessels began journeying to the beaches, now only 5 kilometers out. An additional 6 Black Hawks flew above, providing close air support and reconnaissance for the sea force below. An Alvaro De Bazan-class frigate fired five Standard SM-2MR Block IIIA surface to air missiles, targeting a dummy missile fortification 5 kilometers inland. Four RIM-162 Sea Sparrow ESSM missiles were also fired by numerous frigates, this time targeting empty rock faces dotting the PLZ. By the time the second wave of forces landed, the ten Eurofighter Typhoon multirole combat fighters departed Los Llanos Air Force Base escorting the new Dassault Mirage X tactical stealth fighters, with the ring of nEUROn drones protecting the fighter force. Equipment, communications, radar, tracking, and fighter-drone comms tests were conducted en route to the PLZ, and once there the fighters fired five SRAAM missiles towards balloon targets hovering in the air above the PLZ to test the Mirage X and the nEUROn's missile capabilities. |

| By 12:30PM local time, the beach was secured and all the targets were eliminated. The Juan Carlos I carrier deployed a Black Hawk carrying King Felipe VI and Defense Minister Calvino, which landed on the beach a few minutes later. The two boarded a Pegaso BMR and drove into the forest that lay beyond the landing beaches, where Spanish infantry were conducting formation and advance exercises as well as live fire exercises. New recruits got their first taste of something remotely close to actual combat, with armored vehicles and BMRs driving behind them, consolidating a pretend front line. Although no opposition was simulated during the exercises, the infantry and armor advanced carefully, to strengthen the troops' situational awareness of their surroundings. The amphibious assault exercise formally ended at 9:32PM local time, later in the day, with the Dassault Mirage X fighters successfully flying over Spanish infantry without detection. |

| From July 1 to July 11, the Spanish Navy conducted manouver, missile firing, and formation exercises near the Balearic Islands following the amphibious landing exercise. King Felipe VI and the Defense Minister also oversaw these naval exercises, from the Isaac Peral, Spain's new S-80 Plus-class attack submarine that is natively produced by shipbuilding company Navantia. Almost forty RIM-162 Sea Sparrow ESSM missiles were fired during the exercise, as well as ten Standard SM-2MR Block IIIA surface to air missiles. By the end of the naval exercises on July 11, footage and photographs had been reviewed by a military and civilian board of experts, who deemed the Spanish Armed Forces satisfactorily up-to-date with the modern military scene. The exercises formally ended on July 11, with the departure of the King of Spain from the Spanish fleet. With the success of the exercises, Spain hopes to continue modernizing and equipping her armed forces with newer and more powerful weapons. |

The Spanish delegation, consisting of His Majesty King Felipe VI, Crown of Spain, and Her Royal Highness Princess Leonor, Princess of Asturias, and Foreign Minister Arancha González Laya stepped out of their private jet to greet the Crown Prince of Norway.

King Felipe VI would nod before speaking to the Crown Prince.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. It is a pleasure to be here. I'm sure you know my daughter, Princess Leonor." the King said, gesturing towards his daughter and the future Queen of Spain.

"Now, shall we get on to the meeting?" asked the King.

Prince Haakon nodded respectively as he showed them the way to the vehicular convoy just on the other side of the hangar. An assortment of electric vehicles, bought and paid for by the Norwegian government, all bearing the flags of the Kingdoms of Spain and Norway, two of the world's oldest and most respected countries.

JUNE 2024

Foreign Relations scandal for Centroamérica today as 23 year old German immigrant Sarah Kleinauer complained about her situation to the German Embassy in Managua. She had neglected to read the fine print of her job as a private secretary which provided a generous 61,000 USD annual income. The Print within the contract is normal throughout most of its content, however it included parts that would be considered strange abroad (though normal in Centroamérica). Included within were specifications that the signee would have to endure sexual overtures, possible physical contact, and specifications on clothing that limited her to outfits that "leaves little to the imagination above the waistline". This neglect to read the Contract has left her with a constant state of unease, and if anything disbelief that her colleagues working for different bosses endure the same conditions with little to no complaints whatsoever, descriptive of how Centroamérica has endured its Corporate nature for so long that it has become commonplace and has replaced normality. Her plea to the German Embassy told of "Lunatic" colleagues who instead of supporting her instead criticized her for trying to anull her contract which "Paid her enough anyway". At her wits end from the endless sexual harassment, colleagues egging her on to be more romantically inclined towards her boss, and an entirely hostile legal system, she states she couldnt possibly last much longer.

Kleinauer now seeks assistance from the German Government regarding the termination of her contract and a plea to the German Government to bring her back to Germany. Her own attempts to achieve the former have been unsuccessful as Centroamérican Job Contracts are very precise in their conditions, and their length is usually non negotiable. By reaching out to a foreign Country she hopes pressure can be exerted for them to make an exception, as she is not a native. Her Boss, Óliver Santángel, is CEO of San Salvador Security Solutions, a Firm entirely devoted to corporate internal security which includes enforcing contract terms and conditions.

GERMAN EMBASSY IN PANAMA CITY

Kleinauer Case

The case Sarah Kleinauer was received with great attention from the offices of the German Embassy. At the head of the office was Ambassador Fabian Vantausen, a new to the job who arrived only couple months ago. He was not inexperienced however with dealing with legal disputes but this one was quite new.

Vantausen met with Kleinauer the day after the letter was submitted to his desk. She explained her ordeals and the constant sexual harassment she suffers from. The problem could quickly transform into a minor yet very serious legal dispute between employee and employer to a clear diplomatic confrontation.

Fabian Vantausen then sent an urgent diplomatic email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on what course to proceed. It was clear that time was ticking as everyday, Kleinauer had to dress in ways that she did not want, for men to please in a corporate environment where women are dominated beyond imagination.

At a press conference called to resolve the wave of protests in the country, President Tusk said, "I really didn't think about the consequences of saying what I said earlier about Poland being a racist nation, but as President of Poland, I apologize to the Polish citizens and especially the Islamic community that resides in our country [...] We must build Poland for all of us, "said President Tusk in response to protests in the country. With President Tusk's declaration, it has already served to "calm" the protests in Warsaw, but not to calm the Islamic community in Poland. |

BOLSONARO SLAMS DONALD TUSK AS A COWARD AND A CONNIVING SNAKE FOR BACKING AWAY FROM HIS INTIAL STATEMENT THAT RESULTED IN THE BRAZILIAN PRESIDENT PRAISING THE POLISH LEADER

      July 24, 2024

          | President Jair Messias Bolsonaro was "livid" and "beyond reproach" when he heard of Tusk's complete 180° turnaround, following backlash in Poland to his desire to keep Polish culture and society pure of outside influences. The Brazilian President ranted and reeved at the fact that Tusk had not only betrayed Poland, but himself as well. For the Brazilian strongman publicly commended and backed Tusk on the world stage. Now that Tusk has caved to public pressure, Bolsonaro stands alone in his personal crusade and desire to keep the West pure of "cultures that cannot integrate into Western Judeo-Christian society." In fact, Bolsonaro doubled down and stated that "Brazil has always been and will always be a Christian nation, regardless of Tusk or anyone's opinion on the matter." |

          | Bolsonaro continued calling out Tusk as a typical "people pleaser" and "a man who does not speak out of his mouth, but out of his ass" as a result of the Polish President's actions. Further, Bolsonaro reiterated his support for the true patriots of Poland and publicly called for Tusk's ouster in the upcoming Presidential election. |

"To you Donald Tusk, supposed President of the Polish people, I say that you are a coward and a conniving snake.
You have so soiled your reputation as to back away from a statement you made a few days ago which resulted in me
commending you publicly and openly? Where is your shame? Where is your dignity and self respect? Never in my life
have I witnessed such a public self emasculation as I have today. You are a disgrace to the people who elected you, a
disgrace to your ancestors, and a disgrace to the Polish people. I say this to you, Tusk. As long as I am alive, you shall
never ever set foot on Brazilian soil. Mr. Tusk, you have done nothing but ruin your life. Your own constituents hate you,
your opposition shall use your actions against you, and your nation shall suffer because of it. Mr. Tusk, I am a fair and
open man in the fact that I respect other people's opinions. However, with you, there is no such respect. You have no
opinions. You merely feel the tides around you and speak accordingly. You are lower than the bottom of my left shoe."

    The London Connection

| Following the President's successful overture to the Japanese a month earlier, Jair Messias Bolsonaro is at it again. This time, he is on his way to London to meet with Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Johnson, a conservative, is seen by Bolsonaro as a potential close ally and partner. Having been isolated by the Biden administration following Trump's loss in the 2020 election, Bolsonaro seeks to form partnerships elsewhere among other conservative leaders. |

Aeroporto Internacional de Brasília | JUNE 2024

    | It is a foggy June day in the Brazilian capital. A chill rushes up Bolsonaro's spine as he makes his way out of his Black 1952 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith, feeling the crisp cold air outside, away from the controlled climate interior of the car. Looking around, he notices his security detail hard at work securing the tarmac at Brasilia International Airport. For today is an important day. The President will be boarding the Presidential plane, an Airbus A319, and heading off to London to meet with his UK counterpart. After a few moments, the President walks up to the head of his security detail, Flávio da Costa, and taps his shoulder. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "Flávio."

    | The President would lean over the security officer's shoulder before continuing. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "I want a smooth flight, no hiccups on your end, you understand?"

    | Mr. da Costa visibly flinches in response. The President can be rather upfront and forceful at times. An attitude necessary if one is to survive in the harsh reality of Brazilian politics. |

Flávio da Costa, Head of Security: "Of course, sir. Everything should be fine. It'll be a smooth flight to London."

    | Bolsonaro would grin as he pats da Costa's shoulder, walking past him and paying no further attention to his Head of Security. The rather awkward interaction is nothing out of the ordinary for the President. The Brazilian strongman has a tendency to intimidate his security detail and only expects the best out of the men and women sworn to protect him at all costs. Desiring to reach the warmth and comfort of the interior of the jet, Bolsonaro swiftly makes his way up the airstairs and onto the plane. He then sits down in a leather lounge chair and places his hands on its armrests before leaning back and sighing. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "11 hours. 11 damn hours."

    | Bolsonaro closes his eyes for some peace and quiet. However, that would not last long as one of his staff members, already aboard he plane, interjects and states that the flight will be 13 hours long instead of 11. The President, livid at the response, opens his eyes and gets up and out of his chair in one swift motion. He then turns to face the staffer and points at them. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "What the hell did you just say to me?"

    | The staffer, rather shocked by the President's sudden outburst shakes his head in response, lowering his head. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "No, I wanna know what you just said. Did you say 13 hours? Was that you? I swear it was you. There's no one else next to me but you." Bolsonaro would pinch the bridge of his nose in frustration before continuing. "What's your name, son?"

    | The staffer begins sweating as he stutters a reply. |

Otávio Carvalho, Staffer: "Otávio, sir. Otávio Carvalho. I didn't mean any disresp-"

    | The President raises his right hand in an effort to silence the staffer before him. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "I don't think I asked you what you did nor did not mean. I believe I asked if that was you who ran your mouth earlier. I take that as a yes?"

    | Otávio simply nods, too afraid to say anything and risk further retribution from the President. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "I've had a long day and I don't need to hear that the flight will be longer than it has to be. I'm sure you understand."

    | Meanwhile, as the two men continue to converse, Flávio da Costa boards the plane and nods at Bolsonaro, having heard the whole conversation just beyond the aircraft service door. The Brazilian strongman would turn his head towards da Costa and nod at him in acknowledgement before turning his attention back to Otávio. |

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "Mr. Carvalho. I have a big favor to ask of you. I need you to step out of the plane for a moment and go check up on the rest of the staffers. They can be quite sluggish at times."

    | Without another word, fearful of Bolsonaro and wishing to deescalate whatever the hell just happened, the young staffer makes his way past the President and his head of security before exiting the plane. As soon as he's gone, Bolsonaro would turn to face da Costa and shake his head in disappointment.

Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil: "Make sure the kid doesn't get back on the plane. I don't want anymore disturbances. You promised me I wouldn't have any hiccups."

    | Da Costa, visibly confused, attempts to deescalate the situation by agreeing to the President's request before stepping out of the plane and making his way down onto the tarmac to catch up with Otávio. |

      time skip | London Heathrow

    | 13 hours later, the plane touches down at London Heathrow (Canovia) on schedule, affirming the young staffer's interjection of a 13 hour flight. Regardless of Otávio Carvalho's prediction, the staffer isn't seen on board the plane when it finally grinds to halt. As for what happened to the staffer, no one really knows. The President's orders were vague, we'll just leave it at that. |

EXPLAINING THE ISLAMIC FEDERATION OF CONGO:

Pre-Colonial:

During the 1500s, the Swahili coast of East Africa was thriving as it was dominated by Muslim city states. These city states were populated by wealthy and sophisticated societies of Swahili-speaking merchants who had trade routes going as far as Southeast Asia.

In what is today Eastern Congo, tribes known as the Kindu & Kasongo heard of the immense wealth on the Swahili coast and so began establishing a trade route that led east to trade with the locals & back to their homelands near the Great Lakes Region. In doing so, they adopted Swahili as their language and Islam as their religion. They also became literate through learning to wrote in Arabic & gained access to advanced technologies which they eventually began using to subjugate neighbouring tribes around them as centuries passed.

By the 18th century, a huge network of Muslim sultanates and chiefdoms had sprung up throughout what is today Eastern Congo and they traded with each other and those on the Swahili coast. Around 1830, it is believed a famous warrior prince named Mohamed Idris gathered a huge army and unified the Muslim Eastern tribes and sultanates. He then led them on a harsh campaign to conquer westwards.

His descendants would inherit his cause and by the time the Sir Henry Morton Stanley began exploring in the Congo region, the Idrissou Empire had conquered much of the Heart of Africa, although its population was concentrated in the East.

Colonial Era:

When King Leopold II carved out the area for his Congo Free State colony, his mercenaries struck a deal with the Idrissou Empire that the labour for his rubber plantations would only be taken from the western portion of the country & the port cities of Boma & Stanleyville were set up. What followed was the bloody enslavement & mutilation of millions, and the crisis resulted in the Belgian Parliament taking over in 1908.

When the Belgians took over they took military control over the region & dismantled the Idrissou Empire. Even so, they allowed for the Muslim native Congolese to govern themselves under Sultan Chiefs who answered to the colonial authorities. Christian missionaries had little success in the Belgian Congo & barely managed to convert the animists of the western regions of the country after the devastations caused by Leopold’s rule. This made it easier for the Muslim tribes’ proselytisers to convert more and more people indigenous animists.

The Belgian Congo was a stable & productive colony however, and enjoyed a good standard of living. Native Congolese Muslims from elite noble families were often educated both by colonial institutions set up for them, while the majority of the native population was educated by the Islamic clergy in their local town or village mosque.

Independence Movement:

WW2 however brought about a rise in nationalism & in the 1950s, there were increasing calls by popular Religious figures to overthrow the Belgians and establish Muslim rule. The main leader behind this was Nkosi Ali, a nationalist who was descended from the founder of the Idrissou Empire & had studied Islamic Theology in Saudi Arabia Alzarikstan. Ali established the Congolese Islamic League (CIL) & powerful men from across the colony were gathered to go to Brussels to negotiate independence.

In 1960, Congo was granted independence & a period of talks took place in which the CIL created a new system of government & a constitution inspired both by Western institutions and Islamic laws & systems. Soon the Islamic Federation of Congo was founded with Nkosi Ali as it’s first president.

Islamic Federation of Congo

Ali’s presidency was focused on nationalism and the development of Congo as a country on the regional stage. Aligning himself as an anti-Communist leader, he garnered Western support in the forms of foreign investment and military support against any potential Communist insurgents. As a result, the country witnessed economic growth and the development of key infrastructure that allowed for an increase in healthcare and education quality. Ali also ensured the Congolese military became well-armed, well-trained and organised, sending volunteer troops across the world to fight on the side of Western powers against Communism to build the experience of the Congolese army. Ali’s presidency ended in 1985 when he died of a heart attack & he was titled a national hero.

After an emergency Shura (council), he was then succeeded by Jamburi Osman. Osman represented the interests of the religious authorities in Congo, all of whom wanted to help spread Islam across Africa and wanted Congo to take up the role of helping defend Islam everywhere. Taxes were increased largely to fund charity programs for Muslim nations & diplomatic missions whereby Congolese teachers and doctors were sent to assist Muslim nations in need. At first this was widely supported but by 1992, the economy suffered a huge crash as inflation & debt put the country into a huge crisis. Protests arose all across the country & the political chaos that ensued resulted in Osman’s assassination.

After this, he was succeeded by the country’s first FEMALE president Maryam Ibada. Ibada implemented an isolationist policy whereby she scrapped all of Congo’s overseas Muslim support programs. She also clamped down on the huge influence popular Religious figures had on politics and adopted austerity measures to help the country recover. Ibada also increased certain civil liberties and created “Special Economic Zones” where laws on things like alcohol & nightlife were relaxed to allow for increased tourism & foreign expats. Ibada then famously stepped down in 2010 and established term limits into the constitution for her successors.

After that Hamid Gafara became president for 10 years, before being succeeded by a new and charismatic leader named Abu Roma who wishes to move away from the ISOLATIONISM of the Ibada presidency.

PRESIDENT DONALD TUSK ANNOUNCES NEW ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT

    June 5, 2024

        | PRESIDENTIAL PALACE — As the environmental issue is widely discussed in the world among the USP, China, Russia, Japan, India, Saudi Arabia among other countries and mainly in the EU, Poland decides to take a step forward so as not to be left behind.* In a press conference, President Tusk announces a new environmental project, in which he calls him "Zielona Polska", translating "Japan Green" [...] "This program will add subsidies for electric cars and cars powered by biodiesel to stimulate increased production of these cars in car factories, the Polish Government will also reduce taxes on these cars by 4%, as well as subsidies for companies that use energy clean and other types, it is also clear that we will encourage the construction of more renewable energy sources," says President Tusk. On the issue of renewable cars, Tusk says, "This will be gradual, with these subsidies companies will be able to expand their markets for electric cars and biofuels, until Poland moves away from fossil fuels." Approximately 205 Billion Złoty (45 Billion Euro) will go to the environmental project.* |

The Globe Weekly Report: The News You Need From The Arab States
Issue 44: Monday, July 26

The Karbala Globe’s Globe Weekly Report brings you the most important news from the Arab States once a week in a concise and accurate manner. This week we cover the War in Yemen and Syria State’s elections. Tune in to our new geo-political segment, Know Your Enemy, with Muntadhir al-Zaidi tonight at 7 pm AST.

____________

1. The War in Yemen: Baghdad’s Involvement?

The Gallan Invasion of Yemen earlier this month has sparked what is likely to be an enduring new conflict on the Arabian Peninsula. With Saudi Arabia’s attack on Gallan troops and the port city of Aden, rumors swirl of war between Riyadh and Addis Ababa. This all compiles onto the enduring Yemeni Civil War, whose instability the Gallan’s have seemingly capitalized on to seize much of South Yemen with relative ease. So who stands where, and what will the Arab States’ involvement be?

Saudi Arabia is backing the Houthi government of President Mahdi al-Mashat, who has pledged to unify Yemen under his government. Saudi Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs, Nasser al-Saud has claimed that Gallan presence on the Peninsula will not be tolerated. This directly followed the Saudi airstrike on Aden and the positioning of Air Defense weapons on the Yemeni border. Earlier in the month, President Khalil delivered an inflammatory statement, calling on Arab countries to cut ties with Galla and declaring the Arab States would evict Galla. As of yet though, not public military action has been taken. With neither Galla nor Saudi Arabia seeking diplomatic solutions, it will become increasingly likely that President Khalil involves the country in the war, supporting the close ally of Saudi Arabia. It is still unclear what that involvement might look like, ranging from a full invasion of the country to material or diplomatic support to the Houthi government in Sana’a.

Spain has been the only major foreign power to weigh in on the war, publicly weighing the option of military intervention. Notably absent from the scene is Iran, still in a diplomatic and economic tailspin following its defeat in the brief Caucasus War with Russia and Turkistan.

Kirkuk University defense analyst Mahmoud Pedrad thinks Baghdad will involve itself just short of invasion. “Baghdad’s involvement is unavoidable at this point. But with the country on the back foot following the 23-24 diplomatic crises, I don't believe it will result in a full invasion. The Defense Ministry wields a large land force but they will likely rely on air power and proxy support of the Houthis to accomplish their goals."

2. Syria State’s Elections And Rojava

Syria State has just recently integrated into the Arab Federal States. After deciding on a presidential republican government, elections were held and Moaz al-Khatib was elected Premier. Representing the Sunni Arab majority, al-Khatib received vocal support from President Khalil and the Arab National Union. The election of al-Khatib challenges the entrenched political power of the Syrian military, who long ruled Syria. A non-military government doesn’t necessarily represent an end to the military’s authority however, as generals like Ali Abdullah Ayyoub have deep business and social ties and Syria is still notably corrupt. It is still to be seen where these officers will end up in the Arab National Armed Forces.

With its State government elected, Syria has conducted its elections for the Arab National Congress. Syria has 14 governorates to divide its nearly 30 million citizens. They ranged from nearly 5,000,000 people to just below 100,000. The apportionment of People’s Assembly Seats would be as follows:

    Aleppo Governorate- 47 seats
    Raqqa Governorate- 10 seats
    As-Suwayda Governorate- 5 seats
    Damascus Governorate- 23 seats
    Daraa Governorate- 11 seats
    Deir ez-Zor Governorate- 13 seats
    Hama Governorate- 17 seats
    Hasaka Governorate- 14 seats
    Homs Governorate- 19 seats
    Idlib Governorate- 16 seats
    Latakia Governorate- 14 seats
    Quneitra Governorate- 2 seats
    Rif Dimashq Governorate- 29 seats
    Tartus Governorate- 9 seats

Syria has 14 Governorates and roughly 20 million people. It adds 229 seats to the People’s Assembly and 14 seats to the Senate. Notable was the reintroduction of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party back into Arab States politics. Ahmed Chalabi, chairman of the Progressive Unity Party openly condemned the party and called for its banning. The Ba’ath Party made an impressive showing, taking 39 seats.

The Arab National Union took only 62 seats, a poorer showing than was expected by party leaders. The Victory Alliance took 47 seats. The Progressive Unity Party took 22 seats. The Islamic Brotherhood took 20 seats, a major step up for them. People and Workers took 16 seats, also a major gain. 6 independent candidates took seats.

17 seats went to another new party: the Syrian Kurdish Committee. The SKC is led by Ilham Ehmed, the most prominent Kurdish politician in Syria. Following a rift with the Barzani family over the status of Rojava in the Kurdish Autonomous Republic, Ehmed broke off to form her own party. Her progressivism and personal popularity in Rojava have allowed her to sweep every seat in the governorate. Ehmed has announced her intention to push for laws that would separate Rojava into its own separate autonomous region independent of the KAR.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS REVIEW OF THE KATHERINA ERMAN SCHOOL OF GOVERNANCE

As the middle east burns, German investors and political experts wonder where stability will ever happen

It seems nothing can stop conflicts from ever happening. And while Yemen never was a particular place of economic importance for Germany, many experts worry that the current area may be poised with future conflicts again and again. "We have worries that the Middle East may be entering into a new age of bloody violence with escalation on all parts and perhaps proxy wars fueling this even more. However, neither the EU, nor NATO, nor the US and other big powers, have been fuelling this conflict in a proxy way which could help in ending conflicts perhaps faster" says Professor Steinbrenn of the University of Leipzig.

But there also other difficulties. The number of interregional and intercontinental alliances has doubled since 2010 and this is creating new paradoxes of alliances whereby a country is paralysed in its action that can either hurt one alliance or the other.

So then what happens when a country is both allied to Alzarikstan and The galla : usually, indifference. The question is how far is indifference tolerable and what is the meaning of "ally" ?

Germany has often been seen lately as a less interventionist country with few alliances except with the EU and NATO. Angela Merkel explains clearly the position of Greta Scheffner

"We are trying to avoid a position where Germany would be allied with two nations opposing each other and with no ability to make a move either side without hurting an alliance. We therefore have few allies and pick them when trust is clear and absolute. Otherwise we are taking risks we cannot afford. Scheffner often discusses with the Ministers and the Grand Meeting of Ambassadors in Bellevue to see what potential allies can be. Nations are ranked from E (not reliable) to A1 (absolute trust). To be allied, a nation has to be at the minimum at A3 (mutual trust and confidence in relations). "

Sadly, even this review cannot access the ranking of relations but it is almost certain that on the E ranking would be Victoria Harbor.

A netflix documentary to air on november 2024 in celebration of her 9th year in power

BERLIN - The trailer takes everyone by surprise with references to leaders and people that had been typically seen as opposing Scheffner's point of view. But this is because in an exclusive interview, the Chancellor reveals the insides and exclusives of decisive moments of her leadership and especially the Sorbian war and the Yugoslav war. The turnout is expected to be quite massive although many have criticised this piece as a possible "propaganda tool" well placed for the 2025 elections.

POLAND — A PEOPLE AGAINST IMMIGRANTS — PRESIDENT TUSK UNDER POPULAR PRESSURE INCREASES IMMIGRATION RESTRICTIONS IN THE COUNTRY

    June 7, 2024

        | WARSAW, POLAND — Unlike the Party of Law and Justice, which is far-right and anti-immigration, the current ruling party, which is the Civic Platform, is not anti-immigration, which certainly raises doubts among Poles. With the 2025 Polish Presidential Elections, Tusk says that he does not intend to focus on the issue of immigration at this time — but on other issues, such as one of them is climate change, which is a hotly debated topic in the world, especially in Europe — where even he announced recently a new environmental project.

The anti-immigration sentiment is creating a headache for the Tusk's party (Civic Platform), as the Polish people are pressuring the Tusk Administration to do something against immigrants and Tusk needs the support of his voters to be re-elected next year, he says, "Poland is not going to be an anti-immigration country [...] But we are going to make it harder for immigrants to enter the country." — With that said, Tusk publicly announced the day after his declaration that restrictions on immigrants' entry into Poland would be tightened. |

Kampala, The Republic of Uganda
June, 2024 - Transitional Government Approves Sudanese Military Control

Amidst the war in Iran it appears that Sudan has been left to be soley reliant on itself and it's allies in Riyadh and Baghdad. However today, the question of how Sudan could manage its notional security and the defense of the Republic without reliance on Iranian hegemony is being put to the test. Hundreds of miles south, the Sudanese Peackeeping Operation in Uganda (SPOU) headed by the Sudanese Liberation Armed Forces (SLAF) have reported a number of Gallan militarized units mobilizing on the Ugandan borders. Though frantic to understand the meaning of this, suspicious have only increased as their navy has been reported to be preparing on the Red Sea coast. For Uganda however it was a different question, a question of survival or sacrifice as reports come in of increasing numbers of Gallan troops on the Ugandan border which fed many of the fears of Kampala of a possible Gallan invasion.

Although Uganda would have absolutely been defeated within the first couple days of the Gallan invasion, it was a different case as Uganda was protected by 15,000 SLAF military units, 8,000 of which guard the border with Galla. However it had become a concern to Kampala that the SPOU forces sent to Uganda might not be enough for the defense of the homeland against a country that seemed to be gearing up for a war time economy.

And so in full desperation and determination of conducting and carrying out a possible war in any way possible for the defending the homeland, The Ugandan Transitional Government has convened in early June to discuss the best course of action for the freedom of the Ugandan People and thus came into agreement that in order to allow the Sudanese Land Armed Forces to be able to mobilize and carry out what it deems necessary for defending the homeland in the face of potential Gallan invasion, the Ugandan Government has granted the powers of commander and chief to the Sudanese Army Lieutenant General George Athor Deng hereby giving him the complete command and control of the Uganda's People Defence Forces (UPDF) which is numbered around 21,590 Active Personal meaning that the Ugandan Land Forces (ULF) and Ugandan Air Force (UAF) along with command of the Sudanese Peacekeeping Operation In Uganda (SPOU) which means that a total of 36,590 active and armed personal at the disposal of General Deng. As the Commander and Chief of the UPDF he is allowed to make his own decisions with the consent or advice of the Ugandan Transitional Government, he is also allowed to propose and suggest any course of actions for the Transitional Government.

The sudden move was deemed controversial in Khartoum as granting the power of a nation's armed forces to one of Sudan's top ranking military generals was deemed reckless and crazy by most in Sudan. However with the mobilization of troops in Uganda a series of propaganda and articles have been published in both Sudan and Uganda by the Army and even Nationalists demanding that Sudan defends Uganda like it would defend its own country. The messages made to rile up the Sudanese population focused entirely on the Gallan attempt to surround Sudan, control its water sources, the squeeze out the last standing and free island of democracy in Africa.

And so with further lobbying and convictions to Parliament, all criticisms of General Deng's taking command of the UPDF was withdrawn by MPs and exchanged with support for increasing Sudanese involvement in the protection of Uganda. And so as a Result the Sudanese Parliament had ordered the mobilization and deployment of 30,000 additional Sudanese Land Armed Forces Units equipped with Beretta AR70/90 and ARX160 Assault rifles at the disposal of General Deng raising the amount of active personal in Uganda to 66,590 Units. The armed forces had been equipped with 50x Centauro 155/39LW Self-Propelled Howitzers, 30x additional Freccia IFV along with 30x B1 Centauro 120mm Tank destroyers. A set of 12x AgustaWestland A109 Utility transport helicopters had been mobilised to Entebbe's airport after a stop at Juba.

The Sudanese Parliament seeing the calming of tensions on its western border with Chad had ordered a reversal of the top priority construction that Tono Air Force Base in South Darfur has gotten in favour of putting top priority on Songola Air Force Base outside of Juba in Central Equatoria as Parliament plans to implement the Sudanese Air Force (SAF) into the conflict. The SAF has also mobilised 5x Mil Mi-24 Attack Helicopters towards Juba from Wad Sedina Sir Force Base north of Khartoum. The Air Force had also announced that it would be using about 10x Aeritalia G.222 Military Transport Aircrafts to transport about 2,650 troops between Entebbe, Uganda and Juba, Sudan for a duration of 5 days while the remaining 63,940 are to be mobilised through the Uganda Border and then set up secondary defense positions along the border.

Currently these are the preparations inacted by both the Ugandan and Sudanese governments so that a sudden attack by Galla would not throw the nation off. However seeing that galla is most likely to invade Uganda and not mainland Sudan, it is still unknown to Khartoum wether Sudan would itself issue a declaration of war on Galla as well or facilitate the nation's war effort and national interests through Uganda.
