If you happen to login on 10/30 or 10/31 please set your nation to RESEARCHING A CURE. This is the single most useful thing you can do if you are not helping to actively fight the zombies. *starts sneezing explosively*

Oh, the flamethrower, of course. It has much less chemicals. *surreptitiously dons turnout gear*

Platypus scientists are furiously researching a cure in their underwater labs.

Good on you, Platypus. You helped save the region! Our itsy-bitsy region of seven nations made it to the leaderboards to 38th for Most Survivors + No Zombies and 57th for Most Survivors.

:)

I noticed this year that the ambient effect of setting and forgetting Cure Research was significantly lessened. At least, I think, that was just my subjective reckon while playing around with various nations. So I thought maybe putting a dent in the zombies by clearing your nation would help.

As for the leaderboard, since it's scored by population, it really is impressive how the great age of the nations here can shine through the haze of the number of regions that are out there. Six old nations, alone, can score that highly, pretty cool.

You're very observant

You're very observant. I didn't realize that RAC wasn't working until it was too late (it worked fine the last two Z-days). How early did you notice the infection rate was growing?

It wasn't "six old nations, alone". It was four out of the seven RAC. And an active one firing cure missiles.

Not sure when I noticed. I generally don't pay super close attention during Z-day, as I can only bear the repetitive nature of the gameplay for so long :P So I sort of just check in, now and again. I keep a personal region, just filled with my own fun puppets, and usually put in some minimal effort at clearing it. When I checked in there, I noticed infections were still rising troublingly, despite having set all nations within to "cure". So I took the time to cure one nation, to maximize its effectiveness at firing cure missiles, with the intent of curing the rest...but I grew bored after the next :P Checking back in, though, I noticed that even such minimal effort seemed to have been sufficient. So I came over here, too, and cleared your nation in the hope that it would be similarly effective. Lo and behold, it was!

What does "RAC" stand for? Presumably something to do with the curing process, but I can't place it.

If the repetitive nature bores you, then I must bow down to you for taking the time to cure me working alone. 🙇

I'm sorry for using my own obscure acronyms. It's easier than writing out Researching A Cure, though. 🤭

Oh hey look I am back from the dead again. Anyone have one of those zombie curing missiles laying around?

Hey there, YeopBrak. Yeah, one of the things I miss the most -- is my mind. It gets harder to remember to login . . .
