A Commonwealth, A Perplexing Discussion

Early in the morning Tsar Aekoya read over the files from the day discussing various events such as the short-lived escalation in the Soldranian region but as he scrolled through the various emails and other communications an aide leaned against the door talking with Charles Lester. Lester spoke, "Imagine, I couldn't possibly see it but think of all the possible benefits."

"But the people though, there are so many different ways of life, so many different viewpoints."

Charles shrugged, "We've made it work with the Soldranians, why couldn't it work?"

The aide fell silent, "Ok you got me there."

"Besides, we have industry over there allowing them to immigrate and have free trade could only be beneficial."

The aide laughed, "You know what, let's do it!"

"No, wait seriously?"

"Yes, tell the Tsar!"

Aekoya leaned back at his seat looking over at the pair, "Tell me what?"

Charles Lester bowed respectfully, "We were just discussing the reconstruction efforts in Romaniche, and Akumanga and wondering if with our shared goals a Commonwealth would be mutually beneficial."

Aekoya blinked, "Wait, a Commonwealth?"

"Yes, I know it sounds ridiculous but the three of our nations are strong in different aspects. If we convinced them to enter a Commonwealth we would be able to propel mankind to the very stars themselves."

"That sounds very... aspirational."

Charles shrugged, "I know but trust me on this. Make the proposal and tell them how we can rebuild them to their former greatness and make a Romanichean Economic Miracle, and an Akumangan Economic Miracle. Tell them the dream of one Empire from Veracruz to Karatoa, from Rosa-Bucoviche to Issnicia."

Aekoya raised an eyebrow, "What about the government structures those states are quite different than ours?"

Charles nodded, "That doesn't need to change, did we interfere with the Soldranian government structure? Did we stop their foreign diplomacy?"

"No.."

"Precisely, just think about it..."

"We would need some sort of higher assembly though."

"In due time, I serenely think you're making the right move here."

"They're going to think I'm crazy, that we're crazy!"

Charles laughed, "Fortune favours the bold, my Imperial Highness."

"You know what, I'm going to send it. What's the worst thing that could happen?"

Charles nodded, "I can help phrase it out for you if you'd like."

"Please, if you will."

Charles nodded again and came to stand behind the Tsar as he typed out a message to diplomatic corps of both Romaniche, and Akumanga.

The Message

To the Most Serene Third Republic of Romaniche, and The Most Serene People's Republic of Akumanga, the following message is precipitated on our shared histories and idealizations. Given our pursuit of individual freedoms, personal freedoms, and institutions to save these ideals it may seem that we have more in common than we initially realize. In addition the three of our nations have maintained a history of mutual co-operation even in the most divided of times, in spite of the troubles and tribulations we persisted. In addition, our economies are prosperous and highly specialized. It is of the opinion of leading Azorisian Economists, Charles Lester among them that if the three disparate blocs of Romaniche, Akumanga, and Azorisian spheres ever coalesced they would be entirely self-sufficient and monopolistic in their own rights. As such, in order to aid further in rebuilding the states and easing the pains of war and for the sake of our shared history I am proposing this an Azorisian-Romanichean-Akumangan Commonwealth. To safeguard liberty, love and the pursuit of happiness, and to maintain peace and trade rights within our sphere. The Parliament Rejoices

"And so, they guarantee a great Commonwealth from the icy shores of Svalbard to the humid beaches of the Balearic, a Commonwealth from Veracruz to us here in Karatoa, a great Commonwealth from Rosa-Bucoviche to Issnicia.

Applaud breaks out amongst the Parliament directly after Stonehill's reading of the Azorisian message, even some tears are shed at the potential greatness this Commonwealth could contain.

"Voting begins now."

Loud buzzes are heard from all across the Parliament building in rapid succession for the next two hours, eventually reaching a final vote of:

Nay: 75
Abstain: 25

"We have reached a conclusion. On this day, April 16th, we mark the beginning of a new era! The era of the Commonwealth, comrades!"

The masked man stood up holding his M14A1 tight has several men entered all armed with different weapons, a man with a bright red cap spoke up "We never served any of you, we never liked you, you will all go to an undisclosed location, you have exploited the common man long enough we recommend you do not stand up or fight us" a fancy dressed man stood up and was imminently shoot dropping his Deagle, other two stood up and were shoot too, but they managed to open fire all of this while Lucia watched, the men approached Lucia "Come with us now", Lucia shook her head why would she follow these men who had just shoot 3 people in cold blood, "If you are not coming willingly you are coming by force" she was grabbed and taken to a more defensible part of the train, she was imideatly tied up to a chair with chains, they didn't even show a little of fear to the woman, a masked man as he grabbed a camera to record, he spoke up before turning it up"You will do a video for us, or you will see what we have suffered through our whole lives", Lucia nooded and spoke the words that she read on a chart "Do not come for me, I am fine, send this men all the profits the A.R.N have made in the soldrania, or thi-" Lucia broke down crying reading the last part "Or we will all die" the camera was turned off and the men uploaded the video before throwing the cellphone off the train hitting the side "Keep an eye on her", Lucia looked around perhaps something to free herself, nothing other than bloodied chains and boxes god knew what they had and she didn't want to know either, the two other men walked back to take all of the devices throwing them off onto random parts, after they went off to different railways driving around the soldrania, and other countries meanwhile the ACEA agents were running out of coal and quickly noticed their weapons wouldn't work they were either fake or had one bullet, the path that the kidnapped trained was randomed they marked the hostage area "sick" or "under mantinace with the windows covered by wooden planks making it impossible to see through, everything was faked to be fine, with staff switches and everything, of course if the response by the ACEA or A.R.N wasn't the desired one they could always take a new route, were no body survives.

The Christian rights act

The riots have continued over the past day, despite the Room of laws guaranteed the right of the Christian half of Legionarya will be respected. There are multiple types of protesters, from normal Christian people, who feel unsafe because of the Cornelist religion, based around the King, to Christian extremist, indoctrinated against the monarchy and the direct democratic system. Last night, there were talks between the Archbishop of Legionarya and the Room of Laws. Together, they passed an act that "revises and reassures the rights of Christian people, in hope that the riots end.". Also, orthodoxy will once again be an official religion in Legionarya, along with Cornelism, which is now still an enigma.

Standoff between the two sides

With the king dead, two main "factions" arise. The Room of Laws is split, somehow, between loyalist monarchy enjoyers and politicians who think that the leader of the Room should assume leadership over the country, until Prince Matius has the proper age. On the other side, The Royal Council wishes for Andrei of House Lion, the cousin of the king, to step up and have power. The two sides are somehow taunting with each other, marking the most unstable moment in Legionarya since the civil war. As expected, a referendum will be organised on this matter. More info about the vote will be published in the days to come.

And the Civil war continues!
After the commonwealth formed it was received with little care or liking from the soldranian people, resulting in even more protests, revolts, and looting with people running around taking food, water and trying to destroy stuff with what they had so the army did what they do best and began going town to town putting down revolts in cities through shooting, bombing, and executions it was utter chaos all of this done with new Azorisian weapons given by the government to improve fighting ability, the army suppressed all videos and even left small amounts of people in the cities to make sure nothing goes out, the secret police went around kidnapping and executing journalists no matter the nationality, even destroying all of their work resulting in less info from the soldrania going to the outside, the only info that came out was from the communists in Veracruz and the N.R.F (Nova Romaniche Frons) down in Jalisco and Colima.

For Freedom!
CRS civilians began going out and fighting bandits, soldiers, and even other militias they were fighting for democracy, for a free of corruption soldrania and many more, this meant the activation of the local CRS trained armies charging head firsts onto the rubble towns, farms, and such opening fire without care this resulted in whole companies deserting to the Democratic front, resulting in a new faction joining this slowly boiling civil war, of course, a small amount of the old CRS stayed loyal either they had hope in the legion or were Nationalists/Fascists, the faction took most of the coast avoiding the Ash fields, would the Legion resist such a strong revolt?

The Legion had made a major mistake, in the panic of the Liberalist uprising the secret police panicked and shoot several old CRS officials resulting in even more unrest, in those was the old CRS president Benjamine, cars were burning that night, shoots heard the Union wasn't made to last nor was the Loyalty to Azoris, the secret police was no longer serving the legion, they only followed the Caesar but they knew full well that the man wouldn't live longer, the first order of business after doing the horrible mistake was, to get rid of the rats, soon not only did the Secret police end a ton of valuable CRS officials but also several rich soldranians, and Azorisians even draconovoxians in their places of influence it was a massacre not a single soul was spared not even the youngest of their families lived, it was a sad day.

Hand the money.
The masked men sat with the hostages they all looked the same but the hostages had empathy mags and guns not a single bullet loaded, they soon arrived at an old abandoned RTT train station, where they waited for the azorisian men, all they wanted was their money and everyone would live so they waited there holding their weapons in a single line with the hostages they made sure to disorient any ACEA agent near through flashing lights and all of the hostages even them having hot pieces of metal on their faces, it was painful but necessary.
