Return of the Monarch
Ever since the old pandemic struck across France political polarization has only increased ever more among politicians which the people are forced to choose between with the lack of mainstream moderates. With the lack of comprise within the government every administration since the 2021 election has been inefficient at dealing with problems as rising crime and poverty and instead has focused on never ending discussion about immigration and diversity despite the number of foreigners coming to France have dropped significantly in the last decade. In this world where the government has failed to meet the problems three ideologies have started rising in popularity in hopes of a government that will make decisive decisions as in their eyes democracy has failed them. These three ideologies are communism, monarchism and Fascism and despite their best efforts the establishment has been unable to stop their rising popularity among the masses as marches are held across the country in support of these ideologies and eventually they start gaining power in the government but any bills proposed by them are shut down instantly by the PM. This only increases resentment against the government and riots break out and police respond extremely violently and soon the groups see that riots won’t be enough to get their leaders into power. In 2 separate coups Communists and Fascists move too overthrow the government and both fail as the monarchists wait for their moment to strike as they begin to influence the military and police departments and once they are confident enough they put their plans into actions. Around Paris troops who the government regards as loyal start turning their guns and other weapons against the government, as mor and more troops mutiny the government realizes that they must flee but before they do monarchists supplied by the military breach the doors of the Palais du Luxembourg and Palais Bourbon and parliamentarians, ministers and even the president and PM themselves are put under arrest and the French Royalty is declared under Jean Casque who is now known as King Jean I. After this monarchist coup the government begins a total reshuffling and government officials who are considered unloyal are purged and replaced. The next goal of the new government is the creation of a armed force loyal to the monarch, mandatory service is introduced and every personnel who doesn’t pledge loyalty is executed or arrested as the intelligence agency frequently spies on anyone in the military trying to find traitorous peoples. Now France has once again become a monarchy with and this time with much more powerful weapons like nukes, now with a new age the French people look ahead to a royal future.
